Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1141: Chapter 641: Official Statement

What kind of person is Zhou Yun?

Among the many stories, someone posted a piece of writing.

At first, no one noticed the writing until it was reposted by the ”Flowers and Things” production team and the host, Lew Yuan, which brought it to everyone’s attention.

”My name is Zhong Zhihui. I once recorded a program called ’Flowers and Things’ with Miss Zhou Yun. It was the first episode. For personal reasons, I needed to move back home with my daughter, which required me to sell some things. The production team found me and wanted to film an episode with my daughter and me as the story subjects. They also told me that my guest on this episode would be Miss Zhou Yun.”

”During that time, I was going through some heavy things in my life and was in a low period. The viewers of the show may remember that I am disabled, but I still have a daughter to support. So when the production team told me I could receive a fee for participating in the recording, I agreed.”

”During the recording process, Miss Zhou Yun was constantly trying her best to help us sell our things. It was hard work, but that’s not what I want to talk about. Through the recording, Miss Zhou Yun got to know my daughter. My daughter liked her very much, so after the recording, my daughter asked if she could have some contact information to reach her if needed. I felt quite apologetic at the time but didn’t expect Miss Zhou Yun to agree. She said we could contact her anytime if we had any issues.”

”Of course, I never contacted her. It was just a fleeting acquaintance, and we are worlds apart. I was embarrassed to disturb her work and life, but sometimes when I looked at my phone, I found out that my daughter had, on many occasions, used my phone to chat with Miss Zhou Yun. Each time, Miss Zhou Yun was always patient and talked with my daughter without ignoring her or being dismissive.”

”During my daughter’s birthday, Miss Zhou Yun sent gifts. I’ve never talked about these things, and she has never publicized them. What kind of person she is, I don’t really know, having only met her once, but for these two years, she’s been willing to keep in touch with a little girl she met just once and remembers to send her birthday gifts. I don’t believe someone like this could be as heartless as some people online claim. She is a good person.”

...

Zhou Yun was stunned when she saw the piece of writing by Zhong Zhihui.

She hadn’t expected even Zhong Zhihui to come out and say these things about her.

The story had already hit the top of the trending searches, not because the company promoted it, but because major official media outlets reported it.

Official media have always been keen on reporting positive stories, and this was just the kind of content they favored, especially since the main character was Zhou Yun, a celebrity who naturally draws attention, so they were happy to publish it.

Zhong Zhihui’s story didn’t just pop up out of nowhere. The ”Flowers and Things” program was quite popular when it first aired, attracting a lot of viewers.

Viewers who knew the backstory felt even more touched after reading Zhong Zhihui’s words.

Initially watching the show, they thought this father-and-daughter duo had a hard life. They hadn’t expected to see them still, after all this time, nor did they imagine Zhou Yun would remain in touch with them these past two years.

How many people would maintain contact with someone they met by chance for so long?

If it was just for show, maintaining contact would be no big deal, but in these two years, there has never been any news about Zhou Yun sending gifts to the little girl.

If Zhong Zhihui hadn’t spoken up, no one would have known about this.

Zen Yun never promotes herself much, whether she’s doing charity or making donations, let alone such things.

Zhou Yun found Zhong Zhihui’s WeChat and thanked him.

Zhong Zhihui replied: You’re welcome, I just shared the facts with everyone.

Zhou Yun: Next time, you don’t need to speak up for me on such matters. I’m afraid it might affect your normal life.

Zhong Zhihui: It’s okay, I’ve seen how much noise this has caused online today, and Xiao Bei also said we should help you as much as we can.

Zhou Yun laughed: Thank Xiao Bei for me.

Zhong Zhihui: Okay.

After ending the chat with Zhong Zhihui, Zhou Yun felt a bit of warmth inside.
