Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1125: Chapter 635: Brought It on Herself (Part 3)

As long as there’s no personal issue, it’s fine.

The other matters are between her and the director’s team.

The director seems unable to handle Yao Xing.

He sighed and said, ”Then I’ll invite the chief director over.”

The chief director is the one who filmed the teaser earlier.

Yao Xing crossed her arms and chuckled coldly.

Ten minutes later, the chief director arrived, walked straight to Yao Xing, and said, ”Teacher Yao, I heard you’re not satisfied with the tasks assigned by our director’s team?”

”It’s not about whether I’m satisfied or not—”

”Since you’re not satisfied, let’s drop it. Sorry for the trouble, but we won’t need you for this segment,” the chief director said expressionlessly. ”You can leave.”

Yao Xing was stunned.

She couldn’t react at all.

Speechless.

”What, what did you say?”

The chief director said, ”A twisted melon is not sweet. You can go.”

Yao Xing’s face turned green with anger.

Zhou Yun and a few others’ faces changed slightly.

None of them expected the chief director to be so tough, directly sending someone off?

Yao Xing isn’t a newbie, you know?

She’s a movie queen who has worked in this industry for many years!

Zhou Yun noticed that the rest looked a bit gloomy.

”Director, does this matter really need to be escalated to this level?” Chen Qiran mediated.

The chief director said, ”I’m not the one escalating the situation, it’s Teacher Yao. Everyone knows how important this event is; we rarely invite so many teachers to stand together. The live broadcast is tonight, less than five hours away, but Teacher Yao is still dissatisfied over whether she should say one more line or one less. This poem, when divided among six people, cannot be evenly distributed. Therefore, how to divide it, and which teacher is responsible for which part, is a collective decision by our director’s team. If Teacher Yao is not satisfied, the quickest solution in my view is to remove the unsatisfied person from the performance, because I don’t have spare time to coordinate everyone’s dissatisfaction.”

No one had anything to say.

Yao Xing’s lips trembled with anger, ”Fine, fine!”

She turned around angrily and left.

The chief director didn’t even glance at her, turned to Chen Qiran, and said, ”Teacher Chen, please take care of Yao Xing’s part. Thank you.”

Chen Qiran smiled helplessly, ”Alright, I understand.”

The chief director nodded, ”I ask all teachers for understanding. It’s not easy to organize such an urgent and grand task. Thank you all for your hard work.”

Everyone immediately said they should.

Zhou Yun was amazed and admired the resolution of this quick, decisive handling.

This person is impressive.

Zhou Yun thought Yao Xing certainly wouldn’t let this matter rest after going through this.

But the chief director seemed completely indifferent; well, he has background and connections, nothing to fear.

Following this incident, there were no other disturbances in subsequent rehearsals, and the positioning and practice were completed in thirty minutes.

Zhou Yun was about to go to the drama rehearsal; everyone was waiting for her.

Fortunately, all the scheduling had been confirmed, just waiting for her to walk through it.

Playing her soldier husband is Song Chi.

Zhou Yun went through it with everyone because there were only two lines, it was easy, and she did it in one go.

Song Chi whispered, ”Did something go wrong on your side just now?”

”Mm.” Zhou Yun briefly recounted the story of Yao Xing to Song Chi.

Song Chi chuckled, ”Self-inflicted.”

”Why is that chief director so impressive, even daring to offend Yao Xing?”

”Why would he fear? Two-thirds of the seniors here tonight watched him grow up and support him, you think?” Song Chi said, ”Although Yao Xing has seniority in front of us, she’s nothing in front of those seniors.”

Zhou Yun: ”... Well, those are connections forged by family.”

”It has nothing to do with us anyway; we don’t mix in that circle.” Song Chi said, ”Yao Xing just lacks self-awareness; her status might work elsewhere, and everyone would give her face, but here, there are always bigger fish.”

Zhou Yun: ”When will you be back to the crew after tonight’s event?”

”Tomorrow,” Song Chi said. ”I’m taking a two-day leave, what about you?”

”I’m leaving tonight,” Zhou Yun said. ”Rushing back to sleep, sleeping late tomorrow morning, and heading to film in the afternoon.”

”That’s nice too; waking up early is painful; I’ll have to get up early tomorrow.”

”Sleeping early would make it easier.”

”Hard, can’t sleep at night, can’t get up in the morning,” Song Chi laughed, ”I don’t even know what’s going on.”

”Need to adjust your biological clock,” Zhou Yun said.
