Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1128: Chapter 636: Let’s Find a Time to Get the Marriage Certificate (3)

However, despite this, there were still no production companies willing to cast her as the leading actress.

There was simply no script in the film and television market for a leading actress of her age.

Except for family dramas.

Yao Xing felt uneasy inside.

Seeing that she would no longer be the main character in this film and television market, she could only retreat to a secondary position, relying on her past fame to sustain her retirement, which she was unwilling to accept.

Therefore, she felt resistant and resentful when she saw Zhou Yun, whose star was currently shining bright.

In her eyes, aside from being younger, Zhou Yun was no better than her in any other way, yet she was now the center of everyone’s attention.

Yao Xing was filled with rage when she thought about being pulled from the poetry recital segment by the chief director that afternoon.

Since her rise to fame, she had never suffered such humiliation!

Isn’t it just because she is not on the A-list anymore?

A bunch of people who worship the high and step on the low.

...

After the gala ended, Zhou Yun had to rush back to the crew overnight.

She needed to catch the nearest high-speed train.

Yu Sitian and Chen Jing were going to take the same train with her.

Song Chi drove her to the high-speed train station.

”After ’Chen Yin’ wraps up, are you heading to the United States again?” Song Chi asked.

”Yes.” Zhou Yun said, ”Before going to the United States, I’ll attend the opening ceremony of the Venice International Film Festival. Lizhou Cruise is sponsoring this year’s festival, and I need to attend a brand event. Afterwards, I’ll go directly from Venice to the United States.”

Song Chi asked, ”When will you be back?”

”I’ll return after attending the Independent Film Festival.” Zhou Yun said, ”Your ’Jiangyun Platform’ will be shooting until March?”

”Yes.”

”By then, I also need to join the crew for ’Female Assassin’.” Zhou Yun said with a helpless smile, ”We really can never seem to be together at the same time.”

Song Chi replied, ”It’s alright, being able to meet from time to time like this is also nice.”

Zhou Yun looked at the slowly extending night outside the car window, the streetlights turning into a stream of lines from the speed of the car.

”This winter seems unusually cold.”

”Yes.” Song Chi said, ”The filming conditions there are quite poor, make sure to keep warm yourself. Don’t mind wearing more even if it’s inconvenient, it’s no good catching a cold later.”

”Yes, I know.” Zhou Yun said, ”I eat a slice of ginger every morning now to fend off the cold.”

Song Chi escorted Zhou Yun into the station, with Zheng Xiaojue and Cao Jun following right behind them.

At this time, there were no fans at the high-speed train station.

No one expected Zhou Yun to rush back to the crew overnight.

They also ran into Yu Sitian and Chen Jing.

When Yu Sitian saw Song Chi, her expression changed slightly, but she didn’t greet him and went straight to the other side.

Chen Jing walked up and called, ”Brother Chi, Sister Xiao Yun.”

Song Chi smiled at Chen Jing and asked, ”Has the ’Chen Yin’ shoot been smooth?”

”Quite smooth, Sister Xiao Yun has also been taking care of me.” Chen Jing said, ”Brother Chi, are you going over with Sister Xiao Yun too?”

”I’m not going, I’m just here to drop Xiao Yun off.” Song Chi said, ”You can head back to the hotel together later.”

”Okay.” Chen Jing nodded.

Zhou Yun told Song Chi, ”You should head back first, it’ll take a while to get back, and you have to wake up early tomorrow, don’t stay up too late.”

”I’ll go back early, but I can’t sleep until that time anyway.” Song Chi pulled Zhou Yun to sit down, ”I’ll keep you company for a while.”

Zhou Yun smiled, leaned her head on Song Chi’s shoulder, and said, ”The way we’re dating, it’s as if we’re living in different places.”

”It’s alright, being busy now means less busy in the future.” Song Chi said, ”We have decades still to spend together.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Yes, we still have to have children in the future.”

”Yes.”

”Do you want a boy or a girl?”

”I want both.”

”Me too.”

”The boy will resemble me, and the girl will resemble you.”

”Then this household will be quite lively.”

”It’s fine, let them be lively.” Song Chi held Zhou Yun’s hand, ”Xiao Yun, I think we can actually start considering marriage slowly.”

”Hmm?” Zhou Yun looked at Song Chi with some surprise, widening her eyes, ”Why are you suddenly saying this? Didn’t you say before to talk about it later?”

Song Chi said, ”I suddenly thought about something today. In the future, the network of interests surrounding us will only grow larger. Marrying at that point might be more troublesome, so I thought it’s better to determine this sooner and face fewer unnecessary complications in the future.”

Zhou Yun had heard of an incident where a big boss wanted to get married, but his shareholders didn’t want him to unless he signed a prenuptial agreement stipulating that his assets after marriage would be irrelevant to his wife and wouldn’t affect profit distribution.

Indeed, as Song Chi said, as their careers expand further, the stakeholders involved also increase, and their marriage might no longer be just their personal affair.

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”Okay, shall we find a time to just get the certificate first?”
