Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1137: Chapter 639: Slander_3

Zhou Yun immediately understood Zhou Lan’s concerns.

She asked, ”So what do you plan to do?”

Zhou Lan said, ”I just sent a message to the director who was previously in charge of liaising with us. I think this matter shouldn’t be explained by us; it would be better if the director team came forward to clarify the facts. No matter what we say on our side, some people will always doubt us, and if we explain it ourselves, it might seem like we’re just boasting. Don’t you think?”

”Hmm.” Zhou Yun knew Zhou Lan was right, ”Do you need me to do anything on my side?”

”Wait for the director team’s statement to come out, and then share it.” Zhou Lan said, ”For now, don’t do anything; the more you say, the more mistakes you can make. However, Liu Yuqian and a few others have spoken up for you online, and it’s having a very positive effect. It’s rare for them to speak for you and take this risk without hesitation; don’t forget to thank them.”

”Okay.”

After hanging up the phone, Zhou Yun refreshed her Weibo and saw that Mr. You Jiang had just tweeted two minutes ago: Xiao Yun has always treated me and Lili, the veteran actors, with respect in the crew, and looked after me well while promoting in the United States. There is absolutely no truth in the rumors that she disrespected her seniors!

Zhou Yun was surprised to see You Jiang’s tweet, feeling a mix of gratitude and guilt.

Events like these forced her friends to risk being attacked by haters to speak up for her, and they did so proactively without her even knowing how to express her thanks.

But the voices speaking out for her were also very encouraging.

So many people believed in and supported her.

This gave her a sense that everything she had done was not in vain.

You Jiang, Liu Yuqian, and Jiang Yuzhen all took turns making the trending list.

All were widely noticed because they spoke up for her.

One of Zhou Yun’s big fans said: Since the haters started spreading rumors that Xiao Yun disrespected her seniors and acted like a diva, Mr. You Jiang, Jiang Yuzhen, Liu Yuqian, Li Yu, and other actors who have worked with Xiao Yun have spoken up to clarify her true character. Clearly, Xiao Yun is a certain type of person in the crew, and we ask the haters to stop spreading rumors. Those who have worked with her are the most qualified to speak about what kind of person Xiao Yun is. We still don’t know exactly what happened between Xiao Yun and Yao Xing, but since neither party has spoken up, please don’t use an anonymous account’s claims to smear someone’s reputation.

Zhou Yun’s fans liked and shared this tweet, allowing more people to see it.

The haters persistently questioned below:

1. Did Zhou Yun only work with these few actors? What about the others? Why haven’t they said anything?

2. So many actors have spoken up, what about her boyfriend Song Chi? Why hasn’t Song Chi appeared for all this time—does he know best what Zhou Yun is like in private and dare not speak for her?

3. Zhou Yun hasn’t come forward to clarify this matter, so where do you get the nerve to say Zhou Yun is innocent?

These questions were deeply unsettling.

Any sensible person could see that the haters were deliberately picking faults.

Only Song Chi’s fans saw their idol being dragged into it and jumped in to lash out:

1. We didn’t want to get involved, but our Brother Chi is on set filming, and unlike you who do nothing but hold your phones looking for attention every day?

2. Do you think you, devils, can disrupt the relationship between Brother Chi and Zhou Yun?

3. If you want to smear Zhou Yun, go ahead, but why drag our Brother Chi into it? Did Brother Chi act like a diva to you? Zhou Yun’s matter isn’t even clarified yet, and you’re already spreading rumors about Brother Chi? If Brother Chi wants to respond, he will; if he doesn’t want to, he won’t. What’s the point of your moral high ground here?

4. Exactly.

...

In conclusion, due to the sudden exposé in the morning, the internet was abuzz all day.

Of course, for Weibo, this was a good thing.

Through-the-roof popularity, such a high traffic volume was highly profitable.

As a result, Weibo promptly promoted any new information related to this matter, increasing its exposure.

Gradually, Gu Huaichun, Cheng Shenlv, Wang Jing, Yuk Chu, Yin Zhou, Zhou Jianfeng, and others expressed their support for Zhou Yun under the Zhou Yun’s studio official Weibo’s clarification post.

Until evening, after finishing filming in the deep mountains and returning to the hotel, Song Chi finally saw the news and learned what had happened that day.

Song Chi didn’t even call Zhou Yun and directly tweeted: That night’s events, many people were present and know what happened, what kind of person Xiao Yun is doesn’t need me to say more, many good friends have already said it—she is someone worth trusting.

After tweeting, Song Chi finally rushed to call Zhou Yun.
