Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1104: Chapter 628: The Long Phone Call (3)

For instance, resources, whether in film and television or commercial endorsements, these resources that come to Zhou Yun seem to have nothing to do with Zhou Lan.

But being truly involved in the matter, for Zhou Yun, no one is more suitable than Zhou Lan.

Zhou Lan doesn’t treat Zhou Yun as a cash cow, constantly squeezing her value, nor does she treat Zhou Yun merely as a business partner, flattering and echoing her throughout the process.

Zhou Lan is someone Zhou Yun can trust, which is extremely rare.

How many people in our lives can we truly trust?

Zhou Yun has completely handed over the management of her affairs to Zhou Lan.

Regarding remuneration, she never asks; if Zhou Lan nods, she agrees.

For brand endorsements, even luxury brands, they go to Zhou Lan for negotiation; if Zhou Lan settles things, she agrees.

Regarding cooperation, they go to Zhou Lan, and once communication is finalized, she follows Zhou Lan’s arrangements to do the work.

Zhou Yun is an actor and also a celebrity artist.

Tangible and intangible benefits approach her actively and passively.

Zhou Yun entrusts all of this to Zhou Lan, and Zhou Lan lives up to the trust by forming a team to orderly manage her scripts, commerce, schedule, promotion, PR, and many other tasks.

Since her rise to fame, how many times Zhou Yun has turned a crisis in public opinion into safety under Zhou Lan’s counterattack.

Zhou Yun has filmed so many plays, and not once has she been scammed by a crew or producer. She has always smoothly joined a group, completed filming, and had it broadcasted smoothly.

There’s no such thing as a supporting actress adding scenes to become a lead actress, nor has there been a case where the filming crew ran out of budget halfway through production.

With so many eyes gazing eagerly at her, Zhou Yun has smoothly come this far, thanks to Zhou Lan’s indispensable contributions.

Sometimes, Zhou Lan feels a bit absent-minded.

Whenever she feels her revolutionary friendship with Zhou Yun is incredibly deep, she suddenly realizes that Zhou Yun has merely been in the industry for nearly four years.

Zhou Yun’s rise over the past few years has been so fast that it often leaves her reacting slowly.

”Oh, Xiao Yun, someone from Yuehai Network told me that they want to broadcast ’Deep Sea’ in mid-January.”

”January?” Zhou Yun widened her eyes in surprise, ”So soon? Wasn’t this show just finished filming?”

Zhou Lan said, ”Post-production is already done, mainly because it has fewer episodes, and it’s a modern drama, so the post-production pressure wasn’t that great.”

”Then don’t they have to start promoting it immediately?” Zhou Yun asked curiously.

”They plan to release the trailers in a couple of days, but the broadcast license hasn’t come through yet, they are working on it,” Zhou Lan said, ”They probably want to kick off the first quarter of next year with a good start with this drama. Although ’Linjiang Immortal’ has been airing well recently, other platforms also have small hits, and they haven’t established an absolute advantage. Meanwhile, Chestnut Video is releasing Wei Ru Xue’s ’Flying with Phoenix’ in January and Song Chi’s ’Silent Ark’ in February, both of which are prepared to be annual hits, and at the same time, Sanfan Video has a super IP ’Immortal Feather Decision’ scheduled for broadcast in January and February. Yuehai Network can’t sit still.”

Zhou Yun then understood why Yuehai Network was so eager to release ’Deep Sea’.

She asked, ”Can Yuk Chu still join in the promotions?”

”Yes.” Zhou Lan nodded, ”But broadcasting at this time isn’t advantageous for Yuk Chu, as she is about to give birth. If ’Deep Sea’ airs now and new projects come, she won’t be able to act. By the time she gives birth, gets back in shape, and can film again, at least not until September or October this year, she won’t be able to benefit much from ’Deep Sea’s’ success.”

”Ah.” Zhou Yun sighed, ”There’s nothing we can do.”

”Indeed.”

Both Zhou Yun and Zhou Lan know how hard-working Yuk Chu is.

If Yuk Chu could enter big production producers’ sights during the hot airing of ’Deep Sea’ and snag a lead role, it would greatly benefit her career.

Missing this opportunity, no one knows when the next one will come for Yuk Chu.

”Has the drama Yuk Chu is currently filming wrapped up?”

”Not yet.” Zhou Lan said, ”It will still take some time. I have already instructed the crew to ensure her rest time every day, not making her too tired.”

”That’s good then.” Zhou Yun said, ”She must protect herself now during this special time.”

”Indeed.” Zhou Lan suddenly smiled, ”However, I don’t need to worry about her having no exposure during her pregnancy and childbirth.”

”Hmm?” Zhou Yun asked, ”Why?”

”You don’t even know how many projects she has lined up for broadcast. There are six planned for the first half of next year, four of which she’s the lead actress.”

”...” Zhou Yun recalled that Yuk Chu had shot a dozen dramas for her career; she has plenty in stock.
