Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1136: Chapter 639: Slander_2

Zhou Lan: Just this little joy from a hotpot, if this gets out, they might think I mistreated you somehow.

Zhou Yun sent over a smiley face.

No one expected that the next day, reports about Zhou Yun disrespecting her seniors would be all over the internet.

The incident was related to the movie event Zhou Yun attended earlier.

A small account exposed that in the poetry reading segment initially planned with Yao Xing, she withdrew angrily after pointing out the director group’s unfair distribution of parts, where Zhou Yun was given the most despite many seniors’ involvement. During the whole thing, Zhou Yun mocked Yao Xing for being out of the spotlight, and then recapped Zhou Yun’s previous conflict with Fan Zhu, insinuating that there was a precedent for Zhou Yun’s disrespect towards industry seniors. Meanwhile, many celebrity artists anonymously revealed that Zhou Yun is a very arrogant person in private, known for looking down on others.

Such accusations against Zhou Yun were not the first time.

Some believed it, some did not, arguing endlessly.

The matter had room to ferment, mainly because Yao Xing indeed did not appear in the poetry reading segment.

But Yao Xing’s name was on the program list before the live broadcast.

When reporters asked Yao Xing’s agent, the agent replied that they could not comment on the matter.

Yet ”no comment” itself signaled a stance, many people made a fuss over those six words.

First, if the small account’s revelations were baseless, Yao Xing could simply deny them, why be evasive?

Second, what was the reason for the inability to comment? Was it out of concern that Zhou Yun is the hottest movie star right now, not wanting to face attacks from Zhou Yun’s fans, or was it due to Zhou Yun’s backing forces, given that they are in the film circle, Yao Xing cannot offend those film industry big shots?

Third, Zhou Yun typically responds quickly to news related to her, why no response this morning at all? Could she be guilty?

...

Guilty?!

After filming all morning, Zhou Yun could finally take a breath. She learned about the situation from Zheng Xiaojue, picked up her phone and looked, furious.

She had diligently filmed for several hours all morning, didn’t even take a toilet break, yet now accused of feeling guilty?

Luckily, Zhou Lan had already responded first using the studio account: Zhou Yun is on set filming, to avoid disrupting her mood for filming, we haven’t contacted her yet, but as her agent, I can assure everyone that Xiao Yun is not someone who disrespects her seniors, over her years in the industry, she is the most polite and humble actress I have ever seen. Once this matter is clarified, we will give everyone a further response.

The comments section of this Weibo post was attacked by black fans.

All were questioning their guilty conscience and avoidance of direct response.

Zhou Yun was just filming on set, not lost in the deep mountains without signal, what is this excuse of avoiding disruption?

Wait a minute.

But what surprised Zhou Yun pleasantly was the appearance of several familiar IDs in the comments section.

Liu Yuqian commented: I worked with Xiao Yun on a film, she is the kind of actress I admire most, strong in skills, both to veteran and young actors, famous or not, she’s always approachable with absolutely no diva attitude.

Jiang Yuzhen commented: Rumors stop at the wise [thumbs up] [thumbs up].

Li Yu commented: Sister Xiao Yun isn’t the type to disrespect seniors.

What Zhou Yun didn’t expect was that under Li Yu’s comment, many people were asking: Who are you?

Li Yu was an actress who previously filmed ”Eighth Heartbeat” with Zhou Yun, at that time she was just a sophomore student.

Despite the online attacks against her, so many people immediately stood up for her, saying she wasn’t touched would be a lie.

Zhou Yun called Zhou Lan.

”Sister Lan, have you found out who’s behind pushing this scandal?”

Zhou Lan said: ”Apple Entertainment, I’m negotiating with them, but they refuse to admit.”

Zhou Yun said: ”If they won’t admit it, forget it. Just send a lawyer’s letter to that small account, I’ll post a statement on Weibo.”

”Don’t post anything yet, we’re not sure how to explain this matter,” Zhou Lan said. ”It is true that Yao Xing was removed from the poetry segment, but if we expose this, and the director group denies it, we’ll be in a very bad position.”
