Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1116: Chapter 632: Holding Back_3

Huang Zicheng chuckled and said, ”My agent told me that before we make a name for ourselves, we have to handle these small matters on our own. We can’t develop a ’prince syndrome’.”

Chen Jing: ”...”

He felt like he was subtly criticized.

Fortunately, he wasn’t the sensitive type, and he just laughed it off.

”Aren’t all the artists who debut given assistants by the company?”

”Yes, our company does as well, but we implement an agent-centered system. All the artists under Sister Lan don’t have assistants or drivers,” said Huang Zicheng. ”We have a team that helps us connect with crews and handle work matters, but we have to take care of our own daily needs. Sister Lan says that at our young age, relying on others for everything makes us lose common sense in life.”

Chen Jing thought, isn’t it because your company wants to save money?

If it’s about learning common sense of life, why doesn’t Zhou Yun need to learn?

Huang Zicheng laughed and said, ”The main reason is they don’t want us to develop bad habits. Sister Lan often says that even someone as famous as Sister Xiao Yun never acts high and mighty, so as newcomers, we can’t develop prince and princess syndrome without achieving anything.”

Chen Jing: ”Alright, your agent is quite strict.”

Huang Zicheng didn’t think it was a bad thing.

Because Sister Lan didn’t let them handle everything alone, in fact, even though he was filming in the crew alone, there was a whole team managing his work behind the scenes.

In the evening, as everyone was getting ready to wrap up, several cars suddenly drove up.

”Hmm?”

The cars seemed quite unfamiliar, not usually seen on set, and many people looked at them, puzzled.

The cars stopped.

Several people got out of the cars.

When everyone recognized who these people were, they were all taken aback.

...

”Chen Minghe from Sanfan Video is here,” Jin Lin said, surprised, as she ran to Cheng Shenlv to share the news she had just heard. ”He brought several people to meet with Director Kang Xin and Sister Xiao Yun, probably to negotiate about the Xie Pinyuan incident.”

Cheng Shenlv nodded unsurprisedly and said, ”I figured. With Director Kang Xin and Sister Xiao Yun throwing such a tantrum, if the boss of Sanfan Video didn’t come to visit personally, this matter could not be easily resolved.”

Jin Lin said, ”But it’s unbelievable, President Chen personally coming to apologize to the director and Sister Xiao Yun?”

”An apology may be too much, but they’ll definitely say some appeasing words,” Cheng Shenlv said lightly, patting Jin Lin’s shoulder. ”Don’t be so surprised; when you reach the level of Sister Xiao Yun, you’ll find that all the bosses will speak to you affectionately and treat you nicely.”

Upon hearing this, Jin Lin couldn’t help but frown.

”Huh? When will that day come?” She shook her head. ”I’ve given up hope on that.”

Cheng Shenlv smiled.

How could one not hope for that?

It’s just that anyone with a bit of rationality knows the possibility is so small that it’s almost negligible.

Not having unrealistic hopes means no disappointment.

Cheng Shenlv was more curious about how this matter would be resolved.

Will Xie Pinyuan return to continue filming, or will they reach an agreement to replace him with another actor?

...

Chen Minghe came from the system and founded Sanfan Video, catching the online video trend and becoming one of the largest video websites within a few years.

He’s a very low-key person, rarely appearing in public or in front of the media.

His development strategy also tends to be low-profile, unlike the affluent Yuehai Network, Sanfan Video follows a more understated and steady path.

Sanfan Video doesn’t invest as costlessly in content production as Yuehai Network, so Sanfan Video’s financial reports have been profitable for the past few years, unlike Yuehai Network, which, despite having a large market share, has been losing money year after year.

Chen Minghe said, ”Director Kang, Xiao Yun, first of all, I apologize on behalf of Sanfan Video for the previous incident. I’m here today to express our stance. Like both of you, I have high hopes for ’Chen Yin’, so I don’t want any adverse factors to affect its quality. Here, I also want to clarify; my subordinates misunderstood my intentions earlier. We did not agree to Xie Pinyuan’s resignation, I wanted to replace him.”

Zhou Yun and Director Kang Xin were both taken aback.

”I watched the previous footage, and Xie Pinyuan’s acting was terrible. Compared with the other actors, he was out of place, as if he wandered into the wrong set,” Chen Minghe said. ”So, even if Xie Pinyuan shamelessly wanted to continue filming, I would replace him. Initially, I wanted him to learn from both of you and gain some experience, but now it seems instead of gaining that experience, he’s holding us back.”
