Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1114: Chapter 632: Dragging Down the Team

Zhou Yun’s reputation with the brands has always been very high.

Every brand is willing to collaborate with her because her fanbase is enormous, and her commercial value seems to have no weaknesses, from personal to public to fashion image.

News pops up from time to time, but everyone loves her.

The executives at Sanfan Video certainly can’t afford to easily upset Zhou Yun.

Even Yuehai Network is trying all means to mend the relationship with Zhou Yun due to advertisers’ inclinations, let alone Sanfan Video, which is slightly weaker in its development compared to Yuehai Network.

However, Xie Pinyuan is an actor strongly supported by an executive at Sanfan Video, and he has acted in several Sanfan Video productions.

If he is punished according to the contract, this matter definitely can’t be resolved peacefully, and such an action will inevitably affect Xie Pinyuan’s image.

The key issue for Sanfan Video is that they don’t want Xie Pinyuan’s reputation to impact the reputation of other shows he stars in developed by Sanfan Video.

In simple terms, Xie Pinyuan as an individual is a small matter, but the larger interests he involves are a big deal.

The crux of the matter still lies in Sanfan Video not anticipating that their handling of this issue would cause such strong opinions from Kang Xin and Zhou Yun.

The executives immediately organized a meeting to discuss how to resolve this matter moving forward.

Xie Pinyuan cannot continue filming this drama. If there is a change of actors and reshoot, it will inevitably extend the shooting period.

This is not something that can be completed with a few days of rushed work.

In fact, if the crew members cooperate, extending the shooting period is quite normal.

However, Zhou Yun has already stated that she will only film within the timeframe given in the contract, not a day more. This means that if this happens, either the script must be shortened, or this drama can’t proceed.

Because Zhou Yun’s scenes can’t be completed.

”Is there a possibility to approach Zhou Yun’s company and discuss it? She has such strong opinions herself, can we have her company work it out with her?”

”Don’t you know? Zhou Yun has already changed her contract with Chengqian Entertainment. She is now in a studio affiliation cooperation model with Chengqian Entertainment, which basically has no constraints on her.”

”Ah, a big celebrity is indeed a big celebrity, with such a big temper.”

”You can’t blame her for this. When you all agreed to Xie Pinyuan’s resignation from the role, I already said it was inappropriate. He has been filming for so many days, how can he just resign? Which crew would agree?”

”This drama is one of our own investments by Sanfan. We made the decision, what right do they have to criticize?”

”Simply because they are Kang Xin and Zhou Yun,” another person said angrily to the one who spoke arrogantly before, ”In China, can you find a more top-tier combination than them?”

No one spoke again.

The platform may be vast and powerful, and can certainly disregard ordinary celebrities, but cannot underestimate or be arrogant with top-tier celebrities who can carry a drama.

Even a giant like Marvel has to lower its capitalistic arrogance when dealing with the top-tier celebrity actors.

One who can make money is indeed the master.

”Let’s not forget how much we’ve invested in this drama. ’Chen Yin’ is our top-tier drama for next year. The sponsorship hasn’t even started, but just by putting out casting information, seven or eight brands have come to us to discuss advertising cooperation. Who do you think they are drawn to?”

The room grew even quieter.

”If you ask me, either revise the script and cut Xie Pinyuan’s character, handle it with some editing, so there’s not much to reshoot, and it can be completed within the prescribed time, or we sincerely apologize to Kang Xin and Zhou Yun and ask for their understanding, or we simply send Xie Pinyuan back. Even if he performs woodenly, he should honestly go back to the set and finish the drama!”

...

The filming atmosphere of ’Chen Yin’ hasn’t been good in the past two days.

Due to Xie Pinyuan’s incident, Kang Xin and Zhou Yun haven’t smiled much on set.

Especially in the presence of Liu Jun.

The attitude of Zhou Yun and Kang Xin last time apparently intimidated Liu Jun. Although he has been staying on set these past two days, he hasn’t spoken much, just acting as a quiet, transparent person.

Previously, Liu Jun would often tell everyone various things on site.
