Chapter 1133: Chapter 638: Late at Night_2

Wen Yuling let out a particularly loud cry with the slightest movement.

”Ahhh—no, it hurts!”

Zhou Yun saw that Wen Yuling’s eyes were red.

It seemed like she twisted her ankle.

Zhou Yun said to Zheng Xiaojue, ”Xiaoju, quickly go get some people to help.”

Zheng Xiaojue agreed and left.

Zhou Yun supported Wen Yuling; luckily, her usual workouts had paid off, and her upper body strength was decent.

Wen Yuling was completely powerless, leaning entirely on Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun had no choice but to hold her up as best as she could.

Fortunately, Zheng Xiaojue quickly brought people over to help, and they assisted Wen Yuling in sitting down inside.

Then the film crew arranged for someone to take Wen Yuling to the hospital for a check-up. Thankfully, it was just a sprained ankle, and she would recover in a few days.

However, this impacted Wen Yuling’s scenes; she couldn’t stand and could only shoot sitting scenes.

But some scenes required standing, so they had to be postponed.

”It’s quite strange, Director Kang just fell before, and today Wen Yuling fell too. Why is this place so prone to people getting hurt?” Some staff whispered.

Actually, Zhou Yun also found it odd.

If it were icy on the ground, it would be understandable, but there was no ice in the corridor. Wen Yuling suddenly fell, and normally, when someone falls, they wouldn’t easily twist an ankle, but she did. It’s quite unlucky.

In the cold winter, Zhou Yun craved hot pot.

But hot pot is not enjoyable alone, so she dragged along Zheng Xiaojue, Liu Yun, and Cao Jun to eat together, and they thoroughly enjoyed the feast.

Zhou Yun was very satisfied, put down her chopsticks, and said, ”Winter is meant for hot pot.”

Zheng Xiaojue, with a mouth full of red sauce, said, ”I also love hot pot. It’s so satisfying.”

”Don’t eat too much, it’s easy to get a heat rash.” Liu Yun said.

Zheng Xiaojue: ”It’s okay; we always eat the mild hot pot, not too spicy.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Thanks for keeping me company here, in such cold weather.”

”Not at all, not at all.” Zheng Xiaojue shook her head and waved her hand, ”I can’t find a better job than this.”

”Hmm.” Liu Yun nodded in agreement.

Zhou Yun asked, ”Xiaoju, how’s your English learning going?”

”I’ve been working hard on it, but... sigh, communication is still a bit slow.” Zheng Xiaojue looked a little down, ”I’ve even enrolled in an English-speaking class online to practice speaking, but even though I’ve practiced a lot, I still can’t communicate normally in English with foreigners.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Xiaoju, don’t be discouraged. The reason you’re experiencing this is that you don’t have an environment where you regularly speak English. Do you find it hard to understand or to speak?”

Zheng Xiaojue said, ”I just respond slowly. When someone says something, I have to translate it into Chinese in my head first. When I respond, I also have to think in Chinese first, then translate it into English before I speak.”

”That’s because you’re not familiar with it, so the translation process is still long.” Zhou Yun said, ”I suggest you watch some American TV shows, don’t watch with subtitles, listen to the original sound version, and listen repeatedly to what you don’t understand. This way, your familiarity with English will greatly improve, and the translation process in your head will speed up a lot.”

Zheng Xiaojue nodded immediately, saying, ”Okay, I’ll try this method later on.”

The four of them finished eating hot pot and prepared to return to the hotel.

It was snowing outside.

Before they left, the hot pot restaurant’s owner suddenly came over and asked if they could take a group photo together.

Zhou Yun readily nodded in agreement, saying, ”Let’s all take one together.”

By now, Zhou Yun generally avoided taking photos alone with people.

After the group photo, Cao Jun drove the car over.

”Let’s go, time to rest.” Zhou Yun said.

The group stepped outside and was immediately hit by a gust of biting wind that cut their throats.

Zhou Yun and Zheng Xiaojue simultaneously let out shrill screams from the piercing cold.

Liu Yun looked at the two of them with a blank expression, though her face showed an unmistakable sense of disdain about ”What are these two amateurs doing?”.

”...”

Zhou Yun couldn’t hold back and burst into laughter.

Zheng Xiaojue laughed too.

”Why is it so cold?! It’s really a wicked wind!” Zheng Xiaojue said.

Zhou Yun nodded, saying, ”It truly is a wicked wind.”

”Eh—” Zheng Xiaojue suddenly let out a surprised noise, ”Isn’t that Huang Zicheng and Jin Lin?”

Zheng Xiaojue’s voice drew the attention of the others.
