Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1134: Chapter 638: So Late at Night_3

Zhou Yun looked over, and it was indeed Huang Zicheng and Jin Lin on the opposite side of the street.

The streetlights were dim, the lighting wasn’t very bright.

Huang Zicheng and Jin Lin both displayed surprised expressions, somewhat flustered, looking back at them across the road.

Both sides stared at each other for a while, and it was Zhou Yun who first broke the awkward silence.

She waved her hand at the two across the street as a gesture of greeting, then got into the car with her companions.

Huang Zicheng and Jin Lin both breathed a sigh of relief simultaneously.

This situation was really awkward.

If Zhou Yun had come over to greet them, they wouldn’t know how to explain why they were together at this time.

Especially Jin Lin, who had invited Huang Zicheng out for dinner tonight and probed if he had a girlfriend after the meal.

Huang Zicheng said he was single, but was not planning to date now.

This answer made Jin Lin very happy.

No worries.

Not wanting to date now, but there will be a time you want to date in the future.

As long as there’s hope, that’s enough.

After dinner, Jin Lin said she wanted to take a walk to help digest, and that’s how they ran into Zhou Yun.

Jin Lin panicked immediately, saying, ”Oh no, what should I do? Sister Xiao Yun saw us walking together this late, she’ll definitely overthink. She won’t misunderstand, right?”

Huang Zicheng looked puzzled and asked, ”Misunderstand what?”

Jin Lin hesitated and didn’t say anything for a while.

Huang Zicheng finally realized and said, ”I should go back and explain to Sister Xiao Yun later.”

He also didn’t want Sister Xiao Yun to misunderstand that he was dating now.

His career was just starting, yet to really develop, and Huang Zicheng was not a young man who sought enjoyment and fun.

...

Many talent agencies do not allow their artists to date, especially those with idol attributes. Strict ones like Yuehai’s contracted actors, even if they are young actors, cannot date.

Chengqian Entertainment was a bit better in this aspect; dating was allowed, but they had to report it. They couldn’t hide it from the company.

In this era, unless it’s like Yuehai which inherently has a wealth of full-chain resources, it’s difficult for a talent agency to maintain control over its actors for a long term.

Artists who aren’t famous, that’s fine, but once they’re famous, you have to worry about other companies poaching them, care for their mood to prevent them from having a breakdown, or acting arrogant, ruining their reputation.

Zhou Yun and Zhou Lan didn’t care much about whether people dated.

It might be because Zhou Yun’s relationship was particularly hassle-free, Zhou Lan always supported people dating positively.

But other than Zhou Yun and the pregnant Yuk Chu, the other artists Zhou Lan managed were currently focused on their careers and not planning to date anytime soon.

Seeing Huang Zicheng and Jin Lin together today, Zhou Yun didn’t think much about it; either they were dating, or they were together for another reason, it didn’t matter.

But Zhou Yun didn’t expect Huang Zicheng would specially come to explain.

”Alright, I got it.” Zhou Yun patiently listened to Huang Zicheng’s explanation, then smiled and said, ”This is actually your personal matter, you don’t need to explain it to me this much.”

Of course, Zhou Yun understood Huang Zicheng’s thoughts.

Maybe in Huang Zicheng and Lu Zhongting’s eyes, her attitude toward them decided many things, Huang Zicheng didn’t want her to misunderstand him.

Therefore, Zhou Yun specially said that, hoping Huang Zicheng could relax.

Huang Zicheng scratched his head and said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, I’ll be off then.”

”Hmm.” Zhou Yun nodded, smiling as she watched Huang Zicheng leave.

She waited until Huang Zicheng walked quite a few steps away before she closed the door again.

Zhou Yun thought for a moment, picked up her phone, and advised Zheng Xiaojue: Don’t mention tonight’s incident to anyone, also let Xiaoyun and Brother Jun know.

Zheng Xiaojue replied: What about Sister Lan?

Zhou Yun said: Tell Sister Lan if she asks, Huang Zicheng just came to explain to me, they only had dinner together, nothing else.

Zheng Xiaojue said: Oh, but Sister Xiao Yun, just a heads-up, a single man and woman having dinner together at night is inherently ”something else.”

Zhou Yun recalled the scene she noticed earlier.

From Jin Lin’s gaze towards Huang Zicheng, Jin Lin indeed seemed to have some feelings for Huang Zicheng.

So, was it just Jin Lin having one-sided feelings for Huang Zicheng?

With this doubt in mind, Zhou Yun washed up, lay in bed, and prepared to sleep.

”Buzz buzz.”

The phone suddenly rang; someone had sent a message.
