My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2199: Chapter 2032: Joyful Times

Who doesn’t wish to live a life that brings them happiness!

”Child, do you know? The most important thing between a husband and wife is loyalty. If loyalty is lost, their marriage is on the verge of breaking. I once forgot what loyalty was, didn’t understand what it meant, and hurt the one who loved me most. This is my greatest regret in life. I kept making decisions, each time hurting those who loved me the most. Why couldn’t I keep those who loved me by my side, while continuously pushing them away, forcing them to leave me? My heart aches so much, sometimes I’m numb. I don’t know what kind of life I want, or what kind of person I want to love. I just know I miss him dearly. Even after years with your father, I still miss him a lot.

Perhaps you feel that as a mother, I’m capricious and not loyal to my husband. But do you know? He loved me so much, sacrificed his entire world for me. I’m not heartless; I feel it. How could I want things to turn out this way?

Everything in this world is fair. Whatever you have done, you’ll receive the corresponding consequences. Cause and effect cycle is inevitable. The mistakes made will come back to haunt you, no matter how big or small. They will come to ruin your life, and there’s no way to turn it around. I have no other regrets but why I made those decisions back then, hurting the person who loved me so much. I lost the entire world. My world collapsed. Even though there was some love with your father, he was never the one I loved the most.

Child, remember, no matter what difficulties or temptations you face, never betray the one who loves you the most.

In both love and marriage, betrayal cannot be tolerated. Once betrayal happens, the marriage will face destruction!

At that time, I spent day and night waiting for his message. I set all his messages as most important, waiting day after day. Every day and night, I watched my phone, hoping he’d reply to my message, even if it was scolding me. But in the end, I got nothing. That’s when I realized I truly lost him, lost my entire world!

I begged him again and again not to delete me, to leave me a final thread of connection, but he ruthlessly severed everything. I was in complete despair, facing a world I couldn’t see. I only knew my mind lost all drive, that my heart felt completely empty. I could only see darkness, that boundary with death!”

Zhang Yichen only heard these heartfelt words from his mother. He was even more incredulous, thinking his parents were so loving, yet it was all just an illusion. His mother had a first love in her early years, a love that gave her everything. He couldn’t believe his mother lived such a seemingly happy life, didn’t expect her life to be like this.

Perhaps, as everyone says, only one can truly understand the consequences each phase of life will bring. Not knowing what ending he’d face, just perhaps such a life would leave him with no way to change it, living such a difficult, exhausting life.

”Mom, did you think he moved too fast, and you couldn’t keep up, always trying to follow in his footsteps, thinking if you followed his angle, you’d always be together? But you didn’t realize that when you gave up all your principles, everything you cared for, lying to your loved ones to be with him, you still lost him. Only after losing did you know he was truly most important. You always hoped to grow old with him, yet fate never considered the pain life would bring. All you wanted was to be peacefully by her side, but fate took away that chance, leaving you with no way throughout life!

Then, you know within that even if you matched his pace back then, he might not be yours. Everything was unknown unless you truly were engaged, entered marriage’s hall, otherwise your love could end. But you didn’t realize you were sinking deeper until you were fully involved, wishing just to see her a bit more, seeing him smile would make you happy, seeing her suffer would hurt you more than anyone else.

Yet you ultimately lost him. Losing him was destiny’s decree, but you can’t forget him because he’s forever imprinted in your mind. The joy he brought, his love, everything he sacrificed for you is branded on your heart. Unless you replace your heart or wait until you’re in the grave, then you could forget, but I guess you don’t want to forget?”

”You’re right, I’ll never forget. I’ll always have his love imprinted in my heart, won’t replace my heart, and when I’m buried, I’ll still carry it with me because he is the one I loved in this life. Perhaps my love was too wild, leading to such chaos. But who would have known each road traveled remains etched in my mind, impossible to forget.

I walked those roads alone, each memory filled with his silhouette, eradicated in no way. Even every action comes from the heart. Who can know such pain? This pain lasts a lifetime, but I’d rather live in pain than forget him!”

Live happily, without letting any unhappy things cause distress!
