Chapter 2484: Chapter 2485: Return to Tianyun (51)

Yes, that’s because she has him in her heart.

With this thought, Taoming Ye felt relieved, no longer apologetic, and sincerely said to Madam Huo, ”Xin’er is right, Grandma, you are correct. My health is already like this, whether I worry about it or not, it’s still the same. It’s better to relax and live well with Xin’er, that’s more important than anything.”

Madam Huo nodded, ”It’s good that you can think that way. There’s no need to be depressed about your health all day long. If you really feel that your health doesn’t match up to Xin’er, then just be better to her. I don’t expect you to be as good to her as she is to you. Just be half as good to Xin’er as she is to you and I’ll be very satisfied.”

Su Xing immediately expressed her dissatisfaction, speaking up for her husband, ”Grandma, that’s not fair. My husband treats me so well, even better than I treat him. How can he seem like he’s not even half as good as me in your eyes? That’s just not fair!”

”Oh ho ho, look at that,” Madam Huo laughed heartily, turning to Taoming Ye, ”She’s really protective of you!”

Seeing Taoming Ye nodding with affection for Su Xing, Madam Huo then said to Su Xing, ”Grandma doesn’t watch the two of you every day, how would I know how good he is to you? But now that you’ve said it, I believe you. Your husband is indeed very kind to you!”

With her last words, Madam Huo deliberately mimicked Su Xing’s proud tone, making Su Xing laugh and collapse onto the bed. This old lady... sometimes she’s just so funny...

Truly, having an elderly person at home is a treasure.

After saying another casual remark, Madam Huo stood up and said, ”Míngyè, you just stay lying down like this until you’re comfortable enough to get up, don’t force yourself. I’ll have the servant bring the food, and if you can eat a little more then do so, you’re just too thin.”

”Okay,” Taoming Ye replied softly.

When the servant of the Huo Mansion brought in the food, Su Xing also didn’t let Taoming Ye get up. She took the bowl and chopsticks, feeding Taoming Ye.

Because of his discomfort, Taoming Ye only ate a few bites before stopping. Seeing him stop eating, Su Xing then started eating herself, and didn’t bother to get a separate set of bowl and chopsticks, sharing with Taoming Ye.

Taoming Ye watched her, his gentle gaze growing even more tender. In his past life, he didn’t know what good deed he did to deserve marrying a wife who didn’t mind him one bit.

This time, Taoming Ye only lay in bed for two days before he could get up. As soon as he could, he had Ru Song help him to the training ground, wanting to watch his wife train.

When Taoming Ye reached the training ground, he saw Su Xing on horseback, looking valiant and spirited, hitting the bullseye with every arrow, and he was slightly stunned.

He had heard his wife mention that she was very skilled, but he didn’t expect her to be this good.

After finishing her archery practice, Su Xing started practicing with harder bows. Each bow was more difficult to draw, but Su Xing managed to draw them all, pulling them back completely, looking pretty effortless.

And just as Su Xing pulled the last hard bow, she noticed Taoming Ye standing on one side of the training ground, supported by Ru Song.

Su Xing immediately put down the hard bow, happily running toward Taoming Ye, but her mouth was full of complaints, ”It’s so windy here, why did you come? Hurry back to your room!”

As she spoke, Su Xing took her red cloak from Hong Ye’s hands and draped it over Taoming Ye, fastening it securely.

Taoming Ye looked at the red cloak on him and found it amusing, ”Wearing your cloak, what do I look like?”

Su Xing giggled, ”My husband looks good, looks even better with a red cloak on.”
