Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2474: Chapter 2475: Return to Tianyun (41)

Taoming Ye was sitting on the couch in the room drinking tea, and as soon as Ru Song came back, he relayed all that Su Xing said.

After listening, the corners of Taoming Ye’s mouth slightly lifted, his eyes unfathomable, slowly rotating the teacup in his hand. After some time, he asked, ”What do you think of your young mistress?”

Ru Song immediately flattered, ”Good!”

Taoming Ye grabbed a handful of peanuts and laughingly threw them at Ru Song.

Ru Song didn’t dodge, and instead still had a face full of smiles: ”Master, in the future, just throw them at me as well, young mistress will bring back lots of silver, you throw a handful at me so I can share in the happiness.”

”You wish!” Taoming Ye cursed with a laugh, but wasn’t angry at all. His wife was truly great. No matter how he thought about it, she was wonderful. What Taoming Hai didn’t want, he originally thought was terrible, but unexpectedly, she was a treasure. Since he had this treasure, then this treasure was his, and no one else should even think about taking her!

Two hours later, Su Xing came back, not carrying heavy silver, just three thousand six hundred taels of silver notes.

Su Xing handed the silver notes to Taoming Ye, sat on the couch, and laughed as she fell into Taoming Ye’s arms, ”You didn’t see her expression, her face was almost twisted with anger, hahaha...”

Hong Ye and Ru Song discreetly retreated out, closing the door from the outside.

Taoming Ye indulgently hugged Su Xing gently and gave the silver notes back to Su Xing, ”Whether it’s Silver Coin, or objects, or even this big living person here, it all belongs to you from now on. I told you last time, yet you are giving it back to me?”

As Su Xing took the silver notes, she laughed, ”I just wanted to show it to you.”

Taoming Ye was amused and then his expression changed.

Su Xing was first a bit puzzled at why his expression changed, and it wasn’t that he looked pale, but soon realized he was reacting, and Su Xing blushed deeply.

”You are unwell, yet you!”

Taoming Ye couldn’t help but laugh and cry, ”It’s not something I can control...” Clearly, she’s moving in his arms, twisting here and there, therefore he...

”Well, what should we do then?”

Taoming Ye said nothing, but lowered his head and kissed her especially tenderly, gently pressing her on the couch.

Afterwards.

Looking at the man whose face was as white as a sheet yet still insisted on holding her while sleeping, Su Xing found it funny, ”Luckily you are unwell, if you were in good health, I would surely be worn out by you.”

Taoming Ye lowered his head and kissed Su Xing’s little mouth, ”If that day ever comes, I will eat together with you.”

Su Xing’s face instantly turned crimson.

...

Five days later, Taoming Ye’s half-brothers and sisters all gathered together to visit Taoming Ye, and even brought some gifts.

”Why did you all come together?” Su Xing asked with a smile as soon as she saw them coming.

Taoming Ye had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, the third half-brother was named Tao Mingsheng; the fourth half-sister was named Tao Mingxiang; the fifth half-brother was named Tao Mingqing; the sixth half-sister was named Tao Mingfang.

Seeing that the brothers and sisters didn’t speak and just looked at the maids in the room, Su Xing immediately understood and asked all the maids to leave, with Hong Ye cleverly closing the door from the outside.

Only then did Tao Mingsheng and the others smile and say, ”If it weren’t for elder sister-in-law’s help before, our rent would’ve been swallowed up, and our mother returned all the swallowed rent to us to save face. This is our small gesture, and we hope elder sister-in-law will accept it.” Saying this, they pushed all the gifts from the table towards Su Xing and Taoming Ye.

Su Xing smiled, ”You guys coming is enough, why bring gifts too. I’ve heard from Míngyè, before I married in, you often visited him to keep him company and talk with him; your kindness is far more precious than any gifts.”
