Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2456: Chapter 2457: Return to Tianyun (23)

Su Xing immediately breathed a big sigh of relief, and then, with a tender smile, said, ”In the future, if I do anything, I’ll inform you beforehand. Earlier, seeing your reaction, I thought I had hurt you, making me anxious, but I couldn’t explain to you right away. I felt worse than you did.”

Taoming Ye looked at her gently, ”Marrying me is a big grievance for you. I am not only a commons son, but also in poor health, no better than a useless person. You are a general’s daughter and so beautiful.”

Su Xing immediately got angry: ”You just said you knew that wasn’t my true feelings, so what do you mean by saying these things now? Are you deliberately trying to upset me? Besides, I don’t care about your health, we are married now, and we should live well together. If you keep talking like this, not only will I be mad, but I won’t even talk to you!”

Taoming Ye quickly comforted her, ”I’m not trying to upset you, it’s just the truth. From now on, I won’t belittle myself, we’ll live well, alright?”

Su Xing finally smiled happily and nodded heavily, ”Okay!” After a pause, she continued, ”By the way, what do you usually do?”

Taoming Ye said, ”My parents don’t let me do anything. I am just always recuperating. When I feel better, I read books or play chess; when I’m not feeling well, I just rest in bed.”

Su Xing immediately asked, ”Are you feeling better now, or is it one of the bad times? Do you need to rest in bed?”

”A bit tired.”

”Then hurry to bed and rest.” She pushed him towards the bed.

Taoming Ye took off his outer clothes and then lay on the bed.

Su Xing pulled the blanket over him, covered him well, and instructed, ”If you’re tired in the future, hurry and rest, don’t worry about me. I’m too energetic, even healthy people find it hard to keep up with me.”

”But I want to be with you.” His voice was gentle, and his gaze toward her even softer.

Su Xing blushed slightly, ”You can still be with me lying in bed. I’m not going anywhere; look, I’m standing right here now.”

Taoming Ye lightly patted the edge of the bed.

Su Xing understood and immediately sat down on the edge of the bed with a smile, ”Looks like you can’t sleep?”

”I just woke up not long ago, so I can’t sleep. Just resting.”

”Then you rest well, I’ll stay with you.” Su Xing helped tuck in the corners of the blanket again to prevent him from catching cold.

It’s only January, and the weather is still quite cold. Given his poor health, attention needs to be paid all the time; otherwise, catching a cold would add illness upon illness, making his health worse.

”Alright.” Taoming Ye responded gently, and held onto the hand that was tucking in the blanket but was about to withdraw.

Su Xing’s heart fluttered, and her face turned a bit red again. Since last night when he touched her, every time he touches her now, she feels a bit shy.

His hand was gentle but lacked warmth. Though Su Xing quite liked him holding her hand, she still said, ”Put your hand back under the blanket, or you’ll catch cold. You know your own health, you should be mindful, don’t make me remind you all the time.”

He didn’t let go of her hand but smiled gently at her and softly said, ”I want to hold it.”

He was quite persistent, so Su Xing didn’t insist that he release her hand but instead tucked both their intertwined hands under the blanket together.

She wasn’t cold, but she was worried about him catching cold.
