Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1246: Chapter 1037: Update to the List of Enemies

Hill looked sternly at the tiger person speaking eloquently on the giant screen... It seemed that the time when Teraxil was discovered and acted upon by the beastmen was not as late as he had thought!

If these high-intelligence Magical Beasts truly originated from the Beast Kin of the Beastmen race... then Gewoosh’s concern for Teraxil was not as indifferent as initially assumed...

After all, Coron, who always remained vigilant against the Orcish Pantheon, had no awareness of the origins of Teraxil’s Magical Beasts!

No, not entirely, at least the two brothers of the Silvermoon Wolf God are not... but the battle of the wolf brother in the Abyss might not have been as simple as he previously thought.

There were other shadows besides the Spring Water and the Abyssal Lord.

Hill touched the Ring of Winter on his hand, a faint murderous aura appearing on his calm face.

Outside the hotel, Soma said with a face full of regret, ”Although I thus received the blessing of no longer having such offspring... unless someone does something stupid to anger the Chief Orc God, his descendants wouldn’t have problems.

Yet... the clan leader of that time wasn’t really willing to get this result... The tiger taken away was his companion since childhood, willingly becoming his mount.

But no one dared to defy Gewoosh’s will, so he merely used the unique power of Hell back then to brand his milk tooth mark on the neck of his brother.

Because the ones summoned to Hell were the souls of beastmen... so this Soul Mark would flow down the bloodline forever.

I used to think that what my family once said, that our ancestor was that invincible Tiger Clan Leader was... just overthinking.

After all, in our family, there haven’t been any beastman warriors for a long time, even the tents are at the tribe’s edge, otherwise, my parents wouldn’t have been the first to encounter those slave traders and lost their lives.

Back then, although my brother and I ran in different directions, we...

I was lucky, saved by my father before being sent to the Arena, but my brother, I have no idea if he’s still alive.”

He looked at Tyson, first sighed, then opened his mouth and laughed: ”So, you were sent to the Otherworld?

That’s good... still alive.”

But Tyson couldn’t feel happy, he glanced at the fox, a face of confusion: ”I have no inheritance memory about this.”

”Inheritance memory?” Soma gaped, blankly saying, ”Isn’t that a Giant Dragon’s talent?

Did Gewoosh’s experiment possibly succeed? Really... a so-called perfect beastman appeared?

Will you... in the future, be able to transform into human form like Giant Dragons?

But normally still able to fight in beast form, just like Giant Dragons, the longer you live, the stronger you become?”

Tyson said coldly, ”What are you thinking?

We these Magical Beasts require incredibly good opportunities and very strong Force of Nature to awaken.

Otherwise, we’re just ordinary animals, lacking even intelligence... the kind that mortals can slaughter with a knife.

Before Hill appeared, most Magical Beasts were just worthless lives struggling out of the mud!

What perfect beastman... dreaming?”

Soma looked sympathetically at the tiger of the same bloodline as himself: ”Gewoosh has always been experimenting on beastmen, those of us here in Toril considered ourselves fortunate!

Alas... you must have had an incredibly tragic past, which is why you don’t remember anything.

To gain a lineage stronger than Giant Dragons, Gewoosh seemed to have sought out many Archmages... even Devils specializing in manipulating souls.

You should not resent those tribe members who submitted the Beast Kin.

If not for the whole tribe being dragged into Hell, initially, very few races were willing to hand over their Beast Kin... even if it would not prevent such unfortunate events in the future, it was better than brothers being put onto the experiment table!

Unfortunately, even if we wanted to resist, under the iron fortress, no one dared speak up.”

Tyson gently shook his head, speaking to the ’Perfect Bald’: ”I want to go back to rest for a while.”

Baldy immediately nodded vigorously, waved to send his tiger friend back to the companion space.

Soma puzzledly watched their actions, suddenly realizing that the tiger wasn’t quite willing to hear the news he brought.

”Soma...” Devis looked helplessly at ’Snow Cloud Peak’ standing on one side, and the cold gaze of the fox behind him staring at the tiger, trying to remain calm as he said, ”Were all races’ Beast Kin taken away?”

Soma didn’t understand why the atmosphere had turned so weird... for beastmen, survival was the only goal, things like pride were utterly unnecessary... for ones like him, raised by humans, knowing a bit about family and friendship among beastmen was rarity as rare as phoenix feathers.

But he always listened to Devis, honestly recounting everything he knew: ”Yes, when the clan leader came back, it was heard, not only the Beast Kin of Werewolves and Lionfolk were taken, even the Rabbit Folk and Pigmen’s weren’t left behind!

You must know, Rabbit Folk and Pigmen are particularly fertile races, generally, an average tribe would have thousands of Beast Kin. But they were all taken away.

However, tribes like ours that received Gewoosh’s blessing, only producing a Beast Kin every few hundred years, are few.

The others were taken away by messengers sent by Gewoosh.

There were still some tribes closely associated with Yinafu, and only later did the news come out that those Beast Kin were taken away for experiments.

For those of us rewarded tribes, the Beast Kin were surely the last batch to be sent to the experimental platform.

Those... weaker tribes probably find it hard for their Beast Kin to survive...”

The Undead Tribe listening in all turned their gaze to Black Rose... the renowned leader of the Boar Knights, the ’King of Wild Boars’... ’Hard Wind’.

’Hard Wind’ twitched the corners of his mouth slightly and waved his right hand, ”Are rabbits the most numerous?”

No one could deny this point.

Many Undead Tribe’s animal companions did not want to explore the Otherworld with them and even dissolved their contracts!

Only rabbits truly follow eternally, just that unless necessary, they absolutely do not leave their companion space.

In Agleya City, they dared to jump out, but here in the small town, they resolutely stay in their nests gnawing on carrots.

Fortunately, compared to the number of the Undead Tribe, there are still relatively fewer large rabbits in Teraxil currently.

However, since Hill left, the birth rate of rabbits in that valley has slowed down... Moreover, most are those giant rabbits without intelligence.

The Temple Priests in Teraxil all said that previously it was due to Hill’s overwhelming Force of Nature representing life, and now it’s a normal situation.

If it weren’t for Hill’s valley, being able to give birth to one intelligent rabbit a year in Teraxil would be a surprise!

The only difference on the wild boar side is that, because of ’Hard Wind’ and ’Cunlü’s’ pampering, their young have been eating food containing Elemental Power from the start.

As the Wild Boar Legion gradually expanded, the Black Rose Family had become accustomed to giving these boars the best pet food... actually the best kind from the Space-Time Shop’s common offerings.

So, the descendants of the Duke and Duchess, basically all, even if a bit dull, have still reached the minimum standard for signing a contract.

The Undead Tribe standing to the side exchanged a few glances, ’Perfect Bald’ said with a gloomy expression, ”If Teraxil’s Magical Beasts don’t have enough Elemental Energy, they can’t awaken intelligence.

******** Huh? Can’t say this?”

Baldy looked puzzled and changed his words: ”So, Teraxil’s Magical Beasts are all failed products?

Waste utilization?

Huh? Can I say this?”

”Don’t talk too much about matters related to Teraxil.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ quickly responded, ”Over here in Toril, there are too many bad people.”

Edna raised her chin, just about to defend her world with a few words, then glanced at the black-haired woman at the table inside the inn who was curiously looking over, slightly curled her lips, and decided to keep silent... let the undeniable spit take its course.

Edna glanced at the Undead Tribe, whose expressions were actually not too good... Many people were swiping their tablets, probably telling friends about this matter, of course, they might also be scolding on social platforms.

The Undead Tribe has always cherished their animal companions... they could definitely not tolerate having their friends be merely thrown-away experimental subjects... being able to survive is already a blessing.

Edna looked up at the Floating Castle, plus, Gewoosh certainly wouldn’t casually discard his experimental subjects... just like the indestructible half-orcs on the World’s Ridge mountains.

Those once endless half-orcs that made the Elves suffer.

Isn’t there a real Elf in Teraxil too?

How could Gewoosh possibly let them go?

In the Orcs’ language, there is no word for ”peace,” only a guttural curse word meaning ”temporary cease conflict.”

Edna tried hard to search her memory, related to Gewoosh, she only remembered one priest expression that was the least vulgar: If Gewoosh wants equality between women and men, then he would give them bigger muscles.

Compared to that Chief Orc God... Cyric could be considered a person!

The fox that had been quietly listening now suddenly asked, ”Do you know which tribes were rewarded by Gewoosh?”

”Know a little.” Soma tilted her head, ”From Toril, it’s only us and the Snow Werewolf Clan on the Great Ice Mountain.

But at that time, rewarded with us, there were the Phantom Leopard Clan and the White Lion Clan from other worlds.”

”Really... not too surprising an answer.” The fox murmured a few words, turned to ’Snow Cloud Peak’, ”Remember to send the video to William for today’s events.

I’m going back to my space, ah... I need to think carefully about what the hell is this?”

Seeing the rare, melancholic expression of his partner... the fox’s face previously only ever with a sly and deceptive smile... ’Snow Cloud Peak’ also turned serious, nodded and received the fox into the companion space, looked up at the Floating Castle behind.

”It seems... Teraxil’s revenge is only half complete.” he said thoughtfully, ”which is... understandable.”
