Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1232: Chapter 1023: It’s Always Those Few Who Scheme

”This... give it to me!” Celene said with great interest, ”I’m very curious to see what that egg will eventually hatch.”

Hill looked at the Maiden of the Moon in surprise.

Although Celene seemed indifferent to everything, if she was truly interested in something... the final result would surely be what she wanted.

Neither AO nor Shaer could stop her steps.

Hill didn’t think Tiamat could take anything away from Celene.

And that child... Hill never thought she was innocent in being drawn into all that chaos.

Dragons are such creatures that they know what’s happening outside while still in the dragon egg... Felunryel’s many misdeeds make it clear that this young dragon is not without responsibility.

He nodded briskly and tossed the life force-emitting jade sphere to Celene.

As for the other item, Hill silently picked up the thin, toy-like little sword... As soon as he picked it up, it transformed into a radiant long sword: the blade shone with a silvery brilliance, like polished silver, with blue and silver flames flowing along the blade, crossguard, and hilt.

”War Sword.” Hill couldn’t help but read the Elven Script on the hilt... The peculiar flames immediately leaped onto his arm.

”That long sword which only those with chaotic good Elven bloodline can draw?” Celene asked cheerfully while playing with the jade sphere in her hand.

She smiled and let the little sphere float beside her... with Shaer floating the Night Magic Orb on the other side, there seemed to be a strangely resonant feeling.

Despite having different hair colors and distinctly different looks and auras, even with the sphere’s color and aura contrasting... there was a seemingly close connection between them.

Shaer didn’t mind the Maiden of the Moon’s subtle thoughts, only asking thoughtfully, ”Rose?

This long sword was delivered to the Rose Temple by the Zholar, right?

What’s that big spider planning to do?”

”Icewind Valley, is the easiest place for good-aligned Zholar to settle.” Lansendel replied with a smile, ”But Zholar, even if naturally good, have a personality prone to disputes.

Isn’t it normal to resort to force when encountering problems?

Only, previously there was Elisui to help them stabilize their often chaotic and conflict-prone tempers... But... if it weren’t for Rose sending the sibling here for that chair, Elisui’s divinity might have already been impersonated by Rose?

If she directs all prayers to Elisui towards her and toys with them recklessly... this War Sword, in some way, would indeed spark a war.

Hehe... guess who the barbarians would blame after the fight?

If even barbarian-dominated areas don’t accept these Zholar, which Zholar would choose to return to the surface to embrace the sunlight in the future?”

”Zholar are very prone to corruption.” Celene couldn’t help but frown and said, ”They need to constantly battle with the darkness within themselves to ensure they remain in the kind alignment.

Elisui’s Power of the Silvermoon is precious to them.

There’s just no way, sometimes, for a Zholar, a single curse might cause them to lose their rationality... Otherwise, why else would many big cities accept Zholar publicly, and even semi-Zuoer face discrimination?

Kui Lu being so stable, many places still openly express unwelcoming sentiments towards her.

Just like this time... besides Hillen, who can’t leave Shadow Valley, wasn’t it only Kui Lu who didn’t show up?”

”Isn’t Kui Lu nearby?

She just didn’t participate in the battles at Deepwater City and Icewind Valley, and she indeed had no reason to go to Deepwater City to deal with glares.” Lansendel said with a peculiar tone, ”She has been keeping watch around Agleya.”

”That should be for Elisui, right?” Celene said with a chuckle, ”Isn’t it normal! After all, she is also a Chosen of Elisui, and Elisui was originally her best friend.

Plus her relationship with Villon... it’s actually good enough to have a conversation before starting a fight again.”

Such a bizarre conclusion is truly befitting a Chaotic Faction... Hill couldn’t help but glance at the crystal ball that shimmered in the cat’s paw, guessing only they understood what they were up to.

Then he observed the several items at hand with a slightly confused expression... No wonder AO didn’t care at all, weren’t all these, ah, no, it should be the Undead Tribe’s trouble... failed victims?

The three items have all lost their significance!

Ah, not really, the War Sword still holds some significance. If it were to be exposed in Icewind Valley, it would definitely be crazily scrambled for by that group of Zholar... After all, it was a divine artifact openly mentioned by Rose, known to any Zholar who uses swords as the weapon only usable by the strongest Martial Skills Leader in the Komanso Empire.

For macho Zholar, the significance of the divine artifact might not surpass the meaning of the word ’first’.

And Elisui will certainly be unable to respond to the call of her followers for decades.

It would be a feat if she could barely manifest a humanoid form.

This time’s battle with her brother Villon had already drained all her power, making it impossible to invoke the Power of the Silvermoon again to help her followers maintain calm.

But... neither could Rose use this War Longsword to trap and destroy the Zholar in Icewind Valley, nor the barbarian tribes and towns that harbor these Zholar.

Hill sighed, looking at this sword that could halve the aging speed of its bearer... What does this thing have to do with him? Even those attached spells to him were merely a flick of the wrist!

Alas! Although he doesn’t know which side his growth is aligned with... he had long confirmed, he is not human.

The only hope is being an Elf, being the same as a pureblood Elf is a good thing.

If it’s according to the Earth Bear’s growth cycle... then ten thousand years is not long, no matter what you say, it’s useless.

So... better to immerse himself honestly in the world of spells and focus on his various studies!

Hill touched the hilt of the sword, in the end, he gave up the impulse to draw the sword.

He actually wanted to try, really wanted to know if the various usage conditions these Elves set were restricted for Coron’s descendants.

But on second thought, forget it... even if he could use it, would he actually carry it around?

Hill thought his Crystal Longsword was not any worse than this thing, and he had more of them!

This... really is a bit useless!

He couldn’t possibly give this longsword to other deities... even Shaer, who seemed slightly interested, did not speak up like Celene did before.

After all, Hill, as a descendant of Coron, even if not bothered with the Elves’ affairs, couldn’t simply throw the Elf Divine Artifact he got as junk.

Moreover, from his standpoint, as long as it’s something belonging to Rose, whatever it is, it’s fine to take it without any grounds for criticism.

But leaving this ’War Longsword’ in Agleya doesn’t have much meaning!

Ah, wait a minute.

Hill looked towards the North with some thought... Leonard and Lynn’s father, which Elf Empire does he come from?

But no matter which one, he would certainly have the bloodline of the Komanso Empire known for its War Swords... Regardless of disputes among the Elf Empires, bloodlines are often born among the Royal Families.

After all... no matter how complicated Elf affairs are, they can’t resist having frequent romances and quickly changing partners.

If they only look within their own country... with the way Elf Nobles overlook everything, they’d soon be stuck eating their words.

So, even just after a fight, or having mourned each other’s loss of spouse, it can’t stop them from whimsically rolling in the hay... excuse me, usually, they prefer a comfortable lawn.

Can Leonard draw this sword?

Though most people don’t know, Lynn, this younger brother, has already been drawn into the Path of Destiny and can’t retreat... he can’t miss out on the benefits!

As for giving this sword to Lynn, it’s a bit troublesome, after all, he has pledged to Miliel, this Human God, and those picky Elves will certainly make a fuss over it endlessly.

Even if Lynn still worships Coron or say, the eldest daughter of Coron, for Elves... being ’pure’ is important.

Moreover, knowing his friend, even though Lynn prefers to stand back with instruments, giving others Buffs, even if forced to fight with a longsword... he probably wouldn’t want to face Rose directly for a Divine Artifact.

Back then it didn’t matter, Lynn wasn’t afraid of facing evil.

But now... Lynn is someone who has a bit of a clean freak nature, he was that type of observer who vomited from start to finish on that day.

Sometimes, retreating appropriately is to prevent one’s future from stinking, right?

Hill didn’t need to ask, his friend would surely be willing to offer his dear brother as sacrifice.

As for whether Leonard might give this longsword to someone else in the future, Hill wouldn’t care.

All he needs is a reasonable person to pass the responsibility onto.

Moreover, he could conveniently give Edna the ’Reflection Booklet’ of that God of Prophecy... all related to the Municipal Officer of his subordinate territory, he couldn’t favor one over another, could he?

It’s just that he must tell them, this kind of thing related to the Wishing Spell, unless seeing the wishing process with one’s own eyes, it cannot be used arbitrarily.

But if forced, facing a life crisis... even if there are some side effects, it must be used.

Although Edna probably already knows this fact under Black Eye’s guidance, and has no need to use it... does the Weave’s little demand for Intelligence really affect her?

What she needs are Mana Orbs, like those Ein Stones that enable her to cast spells beyond her level and store mana.

But... Hill can pretend to know nothing!

As long as Edna understands in her heart what’s going on.

Hill cheerfully wrapped the ’War Sword’ in a large Water Ball with purification capabilities... giving something related to Rose to someone, it’s best to give it a wash.

Then he picked up that stack of Nyscrolls, and with a smile, started flipping through them.

He figured it out, regardless of what schemes they carried, knowledge in itself isn’t wrong.
