Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1209: Chapter 1000: Ever-Emerging Enemies

Talos instantly flew into a rage: ”I’ll catch her back!”

Xinbu laughed so hard she was bent over: ”Haha! Hey ho ho~ haha~

The Great Fairy is so decisive, never looking back.

Why don’t you go catch her back? Go on! Aren’t you invincible?

Turn over Agleya’s Sea God Temple, and bring back Olypher!

Tsk tsk, you don’t even dare to say you’ll act when I can enter with my true form... Don’t say I won’t betray the Weave, even if that day came... hehe, Agleya is more suitable, isn’t she?

At least she’s strong enough!”

Edna, who was helping the ’Old Age Striking King’ apply sparkling blue diamond nail polish, glanced at her... Confirming that this lady was just casually using the powerful divine power next door to threaten Talos, and not genuinely considering Agleya as an enemy, she turned her head and went back to work seriously.

Although she appeared nonchalant, in the obvious case that the fixed legacy from the predecessor could not be casually discarded, she still hoped that these chosen ones wouldn’t inexplicably have any hostility towards Hill like Kelben.

How could people from the outside world appear in the Tablets of Fate’s schemes?

Kelben believing that Hill would affect him one day, probably got tricked by Safras... Edna thought that the only one who wouldn’t want another male aide around Midnight was the God of Destiny.

Moreover, even if his scheme was exposed, Midnight couldn’t say anything... If it were that easy to be deceived, why would she bother choosing Kelben?

Isn’t Safras useful?

He’s not fooling Mystra herself... This can only be considered a colleague sparring, the loser can only discreetly step down.

Edna slightly twitched her lips, no matter what kind of person the Archmage of the Black Staff was, at least his intelligence wasn’t as strong as Midnight thought... never mind Azuth, even Safras, who was firmly crushed by Azuth, could fool him!

Killing a Magic Goddess with great divine power and then letting her struggle back to the Divine Throne for such a damnable fate, how could it be settled in a year or two?

Moreover, don’t you need to make ample preparations for sudden events... like the appearance of Agleya and the Undead Tribe.

Edna didn’t believe that AO wouldn’t be troubled when he suddenly found himself entangled with the Undead Tribe.

After all, nobody expected the Undead Tribe, which always behaved like Laila’s child team, to one day be drawn by a red dress to her door.

This time, Talos couldn’t maintain his strong image anymore... If it wasn’t for Olypher’s obvious intention of severing ties with him during this Magicplague, why would he be in a hurry to catch a new Lesser God?

Unless, when everything was over, others would see Mystra high upon the Divine Throne, look back and find out the Fury Camp suddenly went from four to three?

Moreover, both of the moderately divine powers that could at least save his face were gone... Ambori, that useless one, didn’t fall to weak just cause it’s only been a short time!

Wait for a few decades, she’ll definitely be replaced by the newly appeared Sea God!

Toril actually has many hidden demigods; they just can’t find a chance to ascend... But the people of Toril even gave up on Ambori for that Agleya’s unresponsive approach, letting them find the easiest way to become deities!

After all, Agleya is a foreign god without an interest in expanding her divine power in Toril.

Before that, Talos had to find a somewhat useful Lesser God for himself... When Olypher leaves, he’ll only be left with Marla and Ambori... but who cares where they stand?

Deities even the Transcendent can chase away.

Talos glanced at the maniacally laughing Storm Queen, still a bit unwilling... If Xinbu were under his control, he’d not only have a subordinate who could hold the scene, but also extend his hand into the Magic Goddess’s Divine Realm!

The last failure only got him a combined beating from Mystra and Azuth, and he even lost Visaron, but at least he gained some insights.

While Mystra still had a few years before returning... this was his best opportunity!

Talos thought about it, painfully extracting some divine power from the divine network again... If he kept using it, even his remaining skeleton would be gone!

If he couldn’t catch Xinbu, this time he’d really lose everything!

Talos couldn’t help but turn his head to look north... he could see that Floating Castle clearly even from such a distance!

He wished he could throw two storms over there!

Smash that pesky elf who brought a Sea Goddess to Toril!

Talos truly felt that descendant of Coron came to Toril to give him trouble!

But... thinking about who resides there regularly as the Storm God, his only eye fiercely glared at the Floating Castle, while the wind-fire vortex rising beneath his feet honestly surged towards those three Magic Electors on the ground.

Xinbu waved her hands with a smile, causing a blizzard mixed with hail to fall down the entire hall.

Edna helplessly twitched her mouth... the temperature suddenly dropped to freezing point, and the dress she wore was a bit thin.

Between adding a temperature control field and wearing another layer, Edna chose to pull out a white fur-edged cloak, which tied at the chest, from her bracelet... of course, what actually kept her warm was the high-level resistance to elemental damage (ice) and warming array on it.

The ’Old Age Striking King’ looked at Edna’s outfit and nodded in satisfaction: ”The embroidery on this cloak really suits brown hair.”

Edna’s face was full of joyous smile: she had long learned from her dear Sanda King Sister how to be a delicate girl: changing clothes and whether or not to use temperature and cleaning magic had nothing to do with each other, even if a piece of clothing had all sorts of functions, it’s best to change according to the scenery of the place.

Unless you have clothing that can change at will... Edna remembered Hill had one, the ’Old Age Striking King’ had always been envious of it.

She tilted her head and thought that she should be able to do it in the future.

At that time, she definitely wants to send a Crystal Flower Robe to the Sanda King Sister... It’s not like she can’t follow the design, she just can’t design.

Hill, admired by Mystra for the Crystal Flower Robe, was looking confusedly at Celene: ”Lady of Silvermoon, did Olypher... leave the Fury Camp?”

He was genuinely worried, what on earth did that Great Fairy want to do?

Hill absolutely would not let Agleya be trapped in this damned place called Toril for anyone or anything!

”Ah...” Celene said casually, ”It wasn’t just a day or two ago that Olypher wanted to escape from Talos, but she’s worried that Tampas’s barbarian son would cause trouble for her, so she didn’t dare.”

But now things are different!

Who doesn’t know about Tampas’s personality? At such a sensitive time, how could he let Usga get involved?

After all, so many people are already targeting him.

The hatred between Usga and the Winter Maiden hasn’t reached the point of a life-and-death battle!

After all, compared to Olypher, Usga probably hates Heim and Tyr more; the barbarians secretly worship them quite a bit!

If she didn’t think she had an opportunity to switch allegiances, why would the Winter Maiden stop the evil sacrificial rituals in the North?

The Winter Temple outside Luskan hasn’t been cleaned up, but do you see the priests there holding those deadly infiltration parades anymore?

Olypher was inclined towards Neutral Evil, so at least turning to Order was no problem.

Hehe, in the Fury Camp, she was the only one who would still accept followers from the Kind Alignment... ridiculous.

You know, those priests acting as messengers dared to kill chicken and ducks and bring them back directly for cooking now?”

Hill laughed helplessly: ”But after leaving Talos, isn’t she afraid anymore? I thought she would definitely find a protector first!”

”She’s planning to leave Talos quickly before Amanata becomes powerful,” Shaer said lightly, ”Of all Talos’s enemies, Amanata is the one he hates the most. With that Sun God around, what is Olypher?”

Celene laughed joyfully: ”Originally, there wasn’t much connection between Olypher and Talos, as the faith region between them was occupied by Amanata.

If it hadn’t been for the disaster in Naish that created a void of faith here in the North, and Tampas and Karagos had fought fiercely, Olypher wouldn’t have panicked and chosen the seemingly bold Talos.

After all, from the information she received, Talos was a powerful deity capable of fighting Amanata, and she, the Winter Maiden, had once been against Amanata for many years... and had been bullied terribly.

Who could imagine... Amanata just chose the weakest strong divine power as his enemy?

He just wanted to appear impressive for the sake of appearances.

Otherwise, at least he should have declared Shaer as an enemy like Lansendel.

Hehe~

Using the words from the Undead Tribe, Talos and he... are worlds apart.

Everyone knows he looks down on Talos!

Talos cares a lot about his face and is bound to hate Amanata a lot!

If not, that foolish black dragon wouldn’t have chosen Talos as a protector.

Anyone who lived through that era in Toril knows that Amanata’s biggest enemy in his quest to regain strong divine power is Shaer, but the most proactive enemy is definitely Talos.

Hehe, Shaer is often lazy when it comes to Dawn, but will never miss a chance against the Sun.

In the future, Amanata will surely have a lot of fun, although it’s probably not going to be like this.”

Shaer turned her head and stared at her sister, her always expressionless face was mixed with a complex mix of emotions: ”You always manage to break my logic.”

Lansendel spun on the ground without hesitation, looking at the giant screen and said to Hill: ”Ah! It looks like Kelben plus Laila are going to lose too!

Are those Red Robes so strong?

They shouldn’t be!

Even if Bane gave all his divine power left in Toril to that Sazzastan... it shouldn’t be this strong, right?

If Bane personally acted, Laila combined with Kelben wouldn’t lose this quickly.

Ah!

Elaströ charged out!

Looking at her expression, it seems even she finds it incredible!

Hmm?

Who is she charging towards?”
