Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1212: Chapter 1003: The White Dragon Queen Weeping in Secret

”How did that thing end up in Bane’s hands?” Celene shouted angrily... the Toril Deities thrown out by that broken scepter generally ended up on her moon.

This made the Maiden of the Moon particularly displeased... especially since annoying figures like Amanata and Mask might also appear.

Just the thought of it made Celene feel like her moon was sullied.

”Why is your focus always so odd?” Shaer stared intently at the scepter, ”As Toril Deities, whoever holds this scepter is the public enemy!

No wonder these guys were certain that Tampas would emerge.

That guy’s luck... out of the six times the Sorcerer’s Royal Scepter was used, he accounted for two.”

Lansendel blinked: ”But... this scepter targets those deities with a Divine Kingdom, right?

We all moved to the Outer Realm, didn’t we? Besides, when it comes to luck... Bane is probably number one, isn’t he? Not to mention Tampas! Let him build that Playground for the Gods!

How amusing, got himself into trouble, didn’t he?

Anyway, it won’t be my misfortune, I actually quite like this thing.”

”It wasn’t an issue before, but now... the moment that thing appears, Benshasha and Tymora will ’bless’ you, won’t they?” Celene pointed out sharply.

”Their antics are futile.” Lansendel quietly lay on the ground, ”Before Tai Ji disappeared, she gave me an eternal blessing.

That’s a blessing from the river of fate, and unless Tymora and Benshasha want to die, they can’t change this reality.

They... at best can cause minor misfortune to my followers, but it won’t affect my Chosen.

If they dare to meddle with luck and misfortune, I have my own backing, and... why wouldn’t they wish to become one?

As it is now, one has the face, and the other has the personality, both have flaws.”

The golden Great Peacock’s feathers seemed a bit dull.

Hill silently looked at Lansendel... he had existed for so long, having seen many deities unable to continue surviving, willingly becoming a more powerful being, so he didn’t think the weak had the right to preserve their identity.

But for fortune and misfortune, there will always be believers... even if they are weak, they wouldn’t fall to the point where survival itself is hard!

How could they be willing to lose themselves?

The triune Elf Goddesses... that’s an exception, isn’t it?

Forming the trio of Elf Goddesses behind her, no one wanted to become the main consciousness of this Goddess, so it was perfectly balanced, with no conflict.

Lansendel never thought that besides bearing children with Coron, and attending major gatherings of the Elven Divine Kingdom, those three would never see each other.

Despite the Goddess Queen’s high status, no one wanted that dreadful position.

Yet if the Goddess of Fate could truly reappear, both Tymora and Benshasha coexisting would be strange... whether a new consciousness arises or one ultimately prevails, one between fortune and misfortune has to die.

Though both Goddesses have some imperfections in their personalities, neither is foolish, they certainly wouldn’t willingly cooperate with Lansendel over some powerful force, isn’t living well?

”You still can’t forget Tai Ji?” Celene asked curiously, ”I thought... Shantia’s pursuit had moved you!”

”There’s nothing about being moved or not.” Lansendel said gloomily, ”If I felt lonely, maybe I’d choose to be with her, but before that, I still don’t want to.

After all, her purpose is to birth an offspring from Dawn and Earth.

It’s not that she has deep feelings for me.

I’m healthy, in a decent mood, and don’t need warmth or solace at the moment.

Besides, after Amanata’s resurrection, the Power of the Sun is probably the most fitting for creating her envisioned offspring, right?

If I don’t respond to her advances, Shantia is likely to choose Amanata.

After all, what she wants... isn’t Amanata’s love.

Previously, the Sun God was so proud he wouldn’t bother with anyone, but now it’s different.

Being able to exchange a child for the alliance with the Earth Mother Goddess, he’d certainly be eager.

When I think about all this... those so-called warmth means nothing to me.”

In response to Lansendel’s words, the Lady of the Night and the Maiden of the Moon both smiled slightly.

Lansendel may have many faults, but in this regard, he aligns quite well with the twins who have a bit of an emotional cleanliness.

This is also one of the reasons why they could tolerate him... Of course, the most important reason is that Lansendel, himself knowing the right timing, did not continue to fight with Shaer.

”Isn’t the Scepter useless for you two?” Lansendel turned over and asked somewhat depressingly.

”Ah...” Celene blinked, ”How could AO allow the appearance of a divine artifact that directly affects the Primordial Power?

Back then, it was because all gods were made Saints before descending to Toril; someone like you was an exceptionally favorable god, that’s why such a divine artifact was allowed to appear.

At least let these Toril deities understand, even mortals who are pushed to the limit can inflict harm on them.

It’s just...”

Hill couldn’t help but take a sip from his wine glass. Although the twins and Lansendel were unaffected by the Years of Turmoil, he better not show a gloating attitude.

Even Celene sighed a mere ”just...” Hill knew what she swallowed back afterward, only that Toril deities seeing their unlucky colleagues lost all alertness and left with laughter filling the skies.

Those few deities that were sent out did not care at all that their priests were panicking due to the sudden unusability of Divine Arts, causing great trouble.

During that time, sorcerers indeed stirred up quite a few significant events.

Otherwise, how did that Lalock acquire so many uniquely functional divine artifacts? They were all created by Naish’s previous magic profession practitioners to deal with deities... AO gave them a lot of help.

But in the end, the God Above Gods found that these deities didn’t even care about the safety of their believers.

Even Shaer would protect her unlucky believers a little... Though it’s because the numbers are too few thus seem precious, yet some deities would watch their believers walk into the devil’s trap with open eyes.

Ah, Tampas is an exception, he treats his priests quite well, but because... before the Three Gods of Death, while sharing the War God’s Divinity with Karagos, Tampas is almost the epitome of misfortune.

Luckily, he has a daughter who can represent his will.

Tampas likes his daughter Red Knight so much precisely because when he was first banished from Toril... At that time, Usga and Red Knight were still mortal demigods... Usga thought Dady was gone, chose to inherit the War God’s power, but Red Knight let the panicked War God priest use her divine power to continue worshipping Tampas... After all, all the Temples of War God have only her small temple.

This is also why later, the priests of Tampas often throw out Red Knight’s exclusive divine arts.

Thus, naturally biased Tampas loves his dear little cotton-padded jacket more... Sons, whatever, discard them.

Shaer looked thoughtfully at the giant screen and said, ”That White Dragon seems to have discovered Edna’s identity! Does she have the bloodline of other Chromatic Dragons? She’s a bit too clever, even those few mages didn’t react.”

”Elvia is originally known for her intelligence, besides she and Edna have a mental connection, even if that little girl shows no expression, there would be reactions in the Mental Sea.” Celene combed her long silver hair to her chest and said with a smile, ”However, it might also be related to using a Wishing Spell to increase intelligence.

Her former mage master wished to extend his life using a Wishing Spell before dying, but unfortunately, bad luck struck and he died right before the spell took effect.

When the Wishing Spell took effect, only Elvia was left on the scene.

That White Dragon was relatively smart and very obsessed with spells, so she directly wished for intelligence.

However, it’s also due to the oldest White Dragons not being much worse than other Chromatic Dragons, having inherited these traits in her bloodline, her wish succeeded.

If it were true... for an intellectually inferior race, a Wishing Spell could only make her intelligence similar to a mortal’s.”

”No wonder that White Dragon inherited an Archmage’s legacy yet is so poor, not having even a higher-level strange object by her side, her scant fortune was accumulated through robbery later.” Lansendel commented casually, ”The cost of a Wishing Spell could bankrupt an Extraordinary Mage!”

Hill smiled helplessly, among White Dragons, probably only Alausato, who teamed up with other dragons to plunder the Lich Magic Tower in Luskan could make the Lord of Dawn consider her somewhat wealthy... After all, White Dragons only have a ’right to plunder’ when they reach the Ancient Dragon stage.

Elvia lay sorrowfully on the pink clouds, not wanting to move at all... Why did she bother to be so diligent?

She wouldn’t need to consider where to plunder Magic Books anymore, nor actively learn new spells from Edna... She’s likely to soon enter Toril’s largest magic library, what can’t she see there!

As long as it’s a spell recognized by the Weave, there are backups there, right...

Elvia doesn’t know whether to be happy or sad, as she’s probably the only White Dragon in the multiverse who could sign such close soul contracts with mighty divine power.

But whenever she recalls squatting in Alausato’s cave, making all those dragon life plans, she has an urge to cry.

Moreover, in Elvia’s mind now, Edna’s words from a few days ago echo, ’Do you want to make new future plans with Alausato?’

Back then, Alausato was willing to wait for her to finish work beside the Old Mage before coming to find him, sometimes even directly running to their ice mountain floating island to find her.

But what about later?

That’s Josse Garden!

Alausato surely can’t come, not to mention whether she could go out!

Boo hoo... Does she not have a partner in the future?

Does Alausato wish to sign a soul contract too?
