Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1204: Chapter 995

Shaer looked at Hill and said calmly, “The reason Agleya can accommodate our presence is that, while she is on Toril, she is quite disconnected from other places. After all, the true master of divine power, Agleya, does not belong to Toril.

So the city built on her power is like a closed space full of isolation walls. Even if more Toril deities come, there won’t be any divine power conflicts.

Otherwise, how could I stay in the same place with these two guys for so long without it blowing up?

Sometimes, even if we want to coexist peacefully temporarily, it’s just not possible.”

Hill was stunned for a moment: “But… weren’t you and Celene always together before?”

“Haha~” Celene laughed, “It’s not the same~ Little Hill. Back then, we were the purest primordial darkness and primordial light, and our divine powers were nearly identical.

It’s impossible now~ No matter how you look at it, we can’t recover such a consistent strength.

Not to mention all the different divine duties we carry.

Now, only a direct confrontation between us can form a Chaos Crystal. It used to take just our two hands opposite each other to generate a whole bunch~”

Is that a good thing? Chaos Crystals can directly replenish divine power! To think their almost inexhaustible power back then now has to be conserved even by them!

Shaer stared at her sister, deeply puzzled by how she could say such things with so much pride right in front of Shaer herself.

Even though she tried her best to understand Celene’s mindset and thick skin, Shaer, who has little regard for righteousness or morality and yet a rather high self-esteem, is still sometimes shocked by the Maiden of the Moon.

Fortunately, the Floating Castle hadn’t fallen into silence… Lansendel didn’t care about the conversation here, even if AO had stopped him from impulsively wanting to buff a certain lady on the battlefield, he was still cheering heartily for Dove and Xinbu.

He was almost hoarse from shouting.

Hill thought for a moment and then asked Shaer with a smile, “Lady of the Dark Night, why does Lansendel dislike Talos so much? Even though the Storm God declares the Lord of Dawn as his enemy, he hasn’t really done anything, has he?

Isn’t it just a slogan issued by a god of destruction against deities representing new life, a kind that entails just talk and no action?”

“Lansendel would rather he act.” Shaer couldn’t help but laugh, “Then he could give Talos a good beating to vent out his anger.

As it is now, it makes him even more uncomfortable. After all, without a reason to take action, no matter how Lansendel might fool around, he’s still a deity of the kind alignment and won’t easily trigger a God War.”

“Lansendel is simply adept at turning minor issues into major chaos.” Celene giggled while adding, “But if there’s no issue at all, and just a few muttering remarks, he can hardly take the opportunity to make a fuss!

But the more it is like this, the more it pisses you off, doesn’t it?

That’s why it’s no surprise at all that he took an immediate liking to Agleya.

After all, you directly dealt with Ambori and Marla, and incidentally, made Olypher feel emboldened to break away from Talos.”

Hearing his name, Lansendel couldn’t keep pretending any longer, and tilted his head to shout loudly, “What can you do with a guy like Talos?

In this area, that guy is even nastier than Ambori! That seaweed head at least has the guts to challenge a stronger opponent occasionally!

Look at how much the frenzied faction of Talos has weakened just because of Hill’s Agleya!

But did he ever make a move? Instead, he took the opportunity to grab some of Ambori’s divine power domain, and tsk tsk, who knows what that seaweed head is feeling now.

Tsk~ Now Talos has even reached Deepwater City, and hasn’t even thought about coming here to stir up trouble… tsk, he’s really useless.”

The Great Peacock’s tone was filled with regret. He genuinely hoped Talos would throw a few storms at Agleya!

Hill couldn’t help but turn his head away from him… this was the most terrifying aspect of Lansendel.

Does he not realize that when Talos does unleash a big storm, it will affect those small villages located between the two places or the ordinary people on the edges of the two cities?

He knows, but he doesn’t think about it.

Clearly not an indifferent or ruthless deity, yet it just doesn’t occur to him.

Lansendel has no concerns and always looks into the distance. Even his incarnation is a peacock that looks up at the sun, so he never lowers his head to see the ants… and to a god endowed with great divine power, how different are humans without power from ants?

Anyway, for the current Lord of Dawn, it would be a great thing if Talos went insane and threw a few big storms at the place where everyone knows he, Lansendel, is hanging out at, Agleya… AO might not let him meddle, but won’t stop him from fighting back, right?

Hill silently reminded himself: Don’t ever think that because of the friendly demeanor shown by these three deities of great divine power, Toril’s deities are nice.

Once shaken, it’s he himself who will suffer losses… make sure to keep an eye on Tyr’s temple whether there’s anything going on or not.

If Hill hadn’t brought the Undead Tribe, the silent God of Justice, who’s probably packing now, might have already fought Heim over a pretty Cyric… although that would just be an excuse for him and Heim to fight tooth and nail.

But that excuse became utterly ridiculous because of that beauty who turned into Cyric, how absurd… It took both Tyr and Heim a long time to accept the signal of the resurrection of a follower.

Since then, neither of them seems willing to descend in person, preferring to lend their power to their Chosen ones.

Hill raised his chin slightly… Although it’s impossible for Tyr to know what could have happened, he would be deeply grateful to his life-saving and fame-saving benefactor, Hill, but Hill himself felt quite proud~ hehe~ Social death can sometimes be scarier than actual death, especially for these powerful deities.

“Damn it! Aren’t you going to do something?” Talos suddenly roared in anger, “Can’t you see that dead dragon is about to escape?

If you really dare to let me down… heh~ then make sure your minions don’t approach the Deep Sea in the future!”

His roar confirmed that at least one of the three sitting over there could participate in this battle, at worst, against the Primordial Black Dragon.

And it’s evident that Manks wouldn’t make any significant moves; Mystra’s soul shard isn’t something easily obtained, and wasting it to deal with a Xinbu is impossible.

Anyway, as long as her soul indeed has that thing, the Goddess of Magic’s Chosen ones would never attack her… On the previous Goddess of Magic’s path of destiny, AO actually made two preparations.

Midnight’s soul contained just such a shard, otherwise, when Mystra fell, AO wouldn’t have found her so directly.

Originally, Midnight might become Mystra’s Chosen; this was a pretty good ending for her slightly willful personality… Compared to the seven distinctive sisters like Elaströ, Midnight really is a little sister.

Unfortunately, who let Black Eye make a fool of himself and stumble upon a maddened Heim!

Hill widened his eyes, closely watching the three over there… Could Cyric really have come?

Hearing Talos’s shout, Edna also craned her neck, the amplified Chain Lightning flickering in her hand… If that high-level follower of Cyric really made a move, she had to try to see if she could directly zap Cyric!

A chance as rare as this, even if trouble ensued, she couldn’t care less!

Anyway… hmm, regarding Cyric, never mind she has an Azuth descendant identity providing full justification to act, even if not, seeing the Dark Sun, nobody would find her attacking strange.

Among Edna’s companions, whether it’s Lansendel’s Chosen, Gendilarei, or Leonard, even Nasir, all cautiously prepared their defenses and attack means.

Even Devis and Luca, knowing their attacks were useless, layered several protective magics on themselves.

After all, Cyric’s appearance must be impressive… causing an entire room attack is just a small scene.

And his high-level followers also always learn that Main God’s fear of being ignored, either making no move, or when moving, it must be dazzling, capturing everyone’s attention.

Just like how a clown’s entrance always begins with three big laughs… that’s how the Dark Sun Circus gets its name.

However, Edna was still disappointed… The one standing up was that agile and well-built female warrior.

“Who is that?” Nasir released his grip on the magic wand, asked with a strange face.

“Who do you mean?” Leonard sincerely asked.

However, they were quickly stunned… the already tall female warrior grew taller with each step… the seemingly feminine features also directly disappeared.

She, no, should say he, transformed into a five-meter-half giant, robust-looking, scarred, waving four scimitars and two longswords on six arms.

“My heavens! Is the world ending?” Nasir whispered in confusion, “Is this… Karagos?”

Edna was shocked looking at the former War God defeated by Tampas, although there had long been rumors he resurrected as a demigod in Toril, but… she truly didn’t expect to see a Karagos transformed into a female warrior!

The former cruel, blood-thirsty, simple-minded War God, who had suffered which temptations, encountered what kind of setbacks, to willingly turn into a woman, standing by a little girl’s side.

“凸(艹皿艹)!” A sharp curse roused all the shocked onlookers… including those three silver-haired beauties.

It was the unfortunate Jai.

Yet, the Lady Silverhand and the others didn’t know what Bane’s follower was up to, but Edna’s group knew well… although Jai didn’t fall for it, just thinking back to that tempting finger brushing past his shoulder, realizing it was the giant war god Karagos himself, was enough to destroy his calm image like water.

“Karagos might want to drag Jai into a room and bash him with a hammer?” Leonard, realizing what he saw, asked in bewilderment.
