Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1219: Chapter 1010: Bizarre Battle Scene

Standing on the land of Toril, the Black Robe now appeared as a courteous and normal Archmage. Although his shocking entrance did not garner much attention, he calmly waited for those in the round hall to regain their senses.

“Mr. Halaster, long time no see,” Dove was the first to snap back to reality… Even though she held resentment towards the Black Staff, he was, after all, her former brother-in-law, so she wasn’t too deeply regretful.

“You… blew things up too cleanly, didn’t you? Black Robe?” Xinbu looked around… Now, only the ground of the round hall remained.

The outside situation surprised even the Storm Queen.

She had seen the devastation wrought by earthquakes many times… but the current state of Deepwater City almost rivaled the incinerated Neverwinter City.

Of course, the Temple atop Neverwinter City was also burned down… After all, it was Abyssal fire, and without a Chosen presiding over it, naturally, the Temple couldn’t withstand it.

Most of the Temples in Deepwater City remained… but that only proved Halaster’s skills were exceptional. Xinbu reviewed in her mind and found that the Temples in the dwarf and gnome districts, which previously clashed with the Black Robe, had collapsed.

As for the Elf District… the elves remaining in Deepwater City had some issues, either aligning with the Evil Faction or being followers of Rose.

Otherwise, as long as there was any possibility, these creatures, who valued tradition, would have chosen to live in Agleya or Mulan.

So Xinbu wasn’t at all surprised to see the Elf District leveled to the ground.

Halaster, as expected, never forgave any grievances.

What surprised the Storm Queen was, “Your information is quite well-informed! You even understand the current condition of Deepwater City so well!”

“Right above my head,” Halaster’s voice was gentle, but the sensitive could still detect a hint of eerie nerves, “There are many delightful little guys in my garden who were originally well-behaved at home, but who could have predicted… someone so shameless would destroy their beautiful home?

In order to find those culprits, they’ve tirelessly tracked everywhere.

As their master, of course, the little ones would tell me everything that happened here.”

Those who heard this couldn’t help but frown: The cute little guys in the Black Robe’s mouth were actually Shadow Charms and Ghosts.

The Black Robe scanned the hall, taking a look at Talos.

Although concerned his electric and imposing gaze might provoke this guy, the Storm God still stood firm without bowing or retreating… Tsk, madmen are troublesome.

Talos hates battles that provide no benefit, feeling that even a failed plan must allow him to take something back.

Halaster frowned slightly, giving up on this fool leader of the four gods… What kind of Berserker is he, with only idiots and madmen as subordinates, boasting divine power counts for nothing.

Even Karagos was more worth fighting.

Under his black robes, his slender fingers trembled… although his main goal was to leave Kelben a better Deepwater City, Halaster felt he would be happier if a fight occurred.

His agreement with the Tablets of Fate was simple: as long as he could incite a strong battle in this round hall that included everyone.

The Black Robe cast a glance at Manks, who stood aside warily… He had met Midnight, whose eyes held ambition, alongside romance and sincerity, mixed with stubbornness and, tsk, dullness.

So, that new Mistrala orchestrated such a massive spectacle, the Black Robe wasn’t surprised at all, he just hadn’t expected Kelben suddenly playing dumb.

Humph!

Wasn’t it just thinking that even if you lose the fight, at least you could leave your son with a Deepwater City?

Even in ruins, the foundation of the City of Radiance was enough to let that child become a Great Lord with ease.

Halaster’s lips curled into a line filled with contempt… Now, Kelben’s son could start learning the work of a builder.

Not knowing where this ambitious and cunning girl came from, the Black Robe never cared whether he was the enemy of the world, so he also ignored those Mistrala Electorates attempting to communicate with him, raising both hands directly.

Black mist rose outside the blue Mist of Mistral, endless Ghosts and Shadow Charms charged at everyone inside the round hall from all directions.

“Fuck!” ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ roared sorrowfully behind them, “I fucking hate ghosts.”

“The Old Dog is a bit scared of ghosts,” the ‘Old Age Striking King’ said helplessly, the Jade Holy Scripture in his hands instantly burst into radiant light, annihilating and repelling most of the ghosts rushing towards them.

“Wait a minute!” Nasir said anxiously, “There are Shadow Charms inside! Those things can’t be killed, and if they are smashed into pieces, those pieces become new Shadow Charms.

“Even the Light of Dawn is useless?” the ‘Old Age Striking King’ asked, puzzled.

“Um…” Nasir smiled awkwardly, “The main god of the Shadow Charms is my lord, Shaer.”

“Shadow beings created by Shaer to mimic the Shadow Wraiths,” Gendilarei said flatly, “As long as shadows exist, they will never truly die.

These before our eyes have been modified by Halaster. As long as the black mist exists, they won’t perish.

Otherwise, why can the Black Robe lurk under Deepwater City for so many years?

Last time, if it weren’t for confirming his absence, how would the Zholar dare to make a move against him… oh right, did those Zholar all die in Agleya that time?

No wonder the Black Robe is heading straight for Deepwater City.

So… the only way is to either take out the Black Robe or send him to a different dimension.”

If it were really that easy to take him out, those demigod electors and even deity avatars wouldn’t be handling those ghosts and the shadow charms stretching their claws among them with such a collapsed look.

The Undead Tribe has already raised shields around the pink clouds, but these ghostly creatures that can drill through anywhere are still quite troublesome for them.

“Quickly place the giant screen onto Icewind Valley!” Edna turned her head, speaking rapidly, “Once the Black Robe knows he can see the situation there, he will definitely deal with us last!”

‘Old Age Striking King’ swiftly flicked his fingers, directly displaying the scenery of Icewind Valley on the giant screen standing silently in the center of the round hall.

The dead magic zone created by the purple-robed Dragon Lich has already exceeded 60 meters, forcing Elaströ, Laila, and Kelben to stand in the same line.

Laila and Elaströ are still throwing magic wands, but Kelben chose the bow and arrow… that guy is from the Elf Nobility Public School, so he actually knows everything he should.

People watching in the round hall couldn’t help but let out sounds of disdain.

The synchronized ‘tsk’ was so consistent and loud that even Halaster, who was furiously swinging his scepter at Karagos, couldn’t help but look back… This guy is a typical kind of monster mage who boosts his power and constitution with the Wishing Spell, adding more than ten layers of buffs, he can actually compete in weapons with Karagos, who is a giant.

Those few electors who weren’t directly targeted gathered together… Although they can cast spells infinitely within the Mist of Mistral, but… the Black Robe is facing Karagos!

They were a bit at a loss on what to do, so they simply gathered together and established a small defensive circle with Silverfire, silently observing.

Then… a loud voice rang out: “Halaster! No matter what you’re trying to do, ease up a bit, leave me some space for amusement, okay?”

That High-level Follower of Heim certainly has extensive connections.

Halaster turned his head to glance: “Olasco? Why haven’t you left yet? Heim doesn’t have the mission to guard Deepwater City, technically speaking, shouldn’t you be the first to flee?”

“No one asked you to say so much! I just want to see what’s wrong with Kelben’s fate?” Olasco said, burning with anger, “With how capable you are, why is the Black Staff Tower still standing?”

“Magic Tower… if it were so easy to topple, who would waste so much money to build one.” Halaster said leisurely.

“Then why don’t you build one?” Olasco retorted, “Otherwise, how come even the maze got torn down?”

“Hehe.” Halaster gave a fake smile, “Maybe it’s because… I’ve always been the one causing trouble for others, so it never occurred to me that there would be a day when someone would strike first!”

“So… are you leaving some space or not?” Olasco brought the topic back.

The Black Robe scanned the round hall… Although some people looked a bit leisurely, indeed all had ghosts and shadow charms attacking them.

Can’t this be considered as barely completing the task of the Tablets of Fate?

He raised an eyebrow… it should be enough, is it necessary for him to wholeheartedly work for that lousy slate?

Then he waved his hand, and the shadow charms near the Heim follower quickly disappeared, while the ghosts… if even the ghosts could make Olasco scramble, Heim would probably directly expel him.

Then the Black Robe tried to change direction, wanting Karagos to face away from the screen.

But… the originally intended troublemaker for Tampas, Karagos, how could he agree to that?

He also wants to watch okay?

Stubborn Karagos, even manifested several berserk wolves with divine power to assist in keeping his direction unchanged.

But in the end, the two of them reached an agreement… standing sideways in front of the giant screen.

It’s fine for the Black Robe, but when Karagos’ huge body stood there, the electors were not having it… Especially Dove, Xinbu, and Storm, they didn’t care so much about what happened to Kelben’s demise, but their sisters were also there!

Clearly, Elaströ and Laila are the main forces now!

Furious, they threw a heap of spells forward… The Mist of Mistral is still in place! Do they really dare underestimate these electors?

The Black Robe isn’t afraid of these few, but after all, the Tablets of Fate didn’t specify that he must take anyone down, right?

If by mistake one dies, he, a passerby on the Path of Destiny, wouldn’t he turn into an opposing faction of Mistrala?
