Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1245: Chapter 1036: Soma and Tyson’s Reunion

Terry quietly waited for Marsha’s reply. There were certain things he didn’t prefer either, but what could he do with troublesome parents?

Although he chose to keep a distance from these Mistrala Electors due to being in Agleya, Elaströ was different... after all, that was someone who had helped his parents.

Moreover, his parents’ territory was part of the Silvermoon Alliance.

When it came to his own survival, Terry was convinced that whether his dad or mom, they’d choose to preserve themselves... the selfishness of a Giant Dragon was unquestionable, not even a lifesaver was worth risking everything for.

But, if Elaströ truly intended to drag someone down... Terry didn’t trust his parents’ capabilities and wits.

Marsha appeared lightly beside the growling and dazed Little Golden Dragon, delivering Hill’s response: ’They’re all insignificant people, feel free to act accordingly.’

Terry thought for a moment and decided to call upon an acquaintance from the Undead Tribe, asking him to send a message to Elaströ in Icewind Valley. Advising those women still confronting the Prince of the Shadow Souls to return and assess the situation. Before things escalated further, Mystra hadn’t appeared, and these Electors were about to become a big joke!

The Little Golden Dragon was slightly worried; although the Path of Destiny had already sacrificed an Elector, the longer things dragged on, the bigger the issue. Who knew if the life of one Kelben would suffice?

Actually, if it’s not enough it doesn’t matter, but Elaströ better be fine... Lynn is a very responsible Government Official, always meticulously discussing any changes in external relations with him and those Elf captains.

Therefore, compared to those in the Silvermoon Alliance, his father who was so enchanted by Elaströ to become the woman’s stand-in, and his mother who, although slightly more clear-headed, was willing to work for the Supreme Lady due to gratitude for saving their lives, Terry was more aware of Elaströ’s danger.

Who knew with such a fierce disposition, able to easily abandon even her own daughter, if when faced with life and death she’d drag everyone down with her!

Terry sighed softly... Clearly he was a newly matured Little Golden Dragon, his daily life ought to be collecting tolls, hunting for mineral veins, and capturing Gnolls for mining stones... So why ponder such complex matters?

He turned to glance at the Floating Castle; telling Elaströ about this as a minor task, Hill wouldn’t mind.

After all, it’s no secret; the merchant convoys and adventurers heading that way are endless, within a few days, they’d talk it over and it would reach Icewind Valley.

His friend was quite broad-minded; since Kelben was finished, then Elaströ as Laila’s sister, even if unwelcome, Agleya wouldn’t consider her an enemy anymore, perhaps just avoid any alliance relations with Silvermoon City, but not as a foe.

Nonetheless, Hill is unimpressed with Elaströ’s style; even though Hill never speaks ill, Lynn’s tongue is quick and sharp... Half-Elves, although competent, complain whenever unexpected tasks arise.

It’s just... Terry looked bewilderedly at that group of strangely shaped women... To the Little Golden Dragon, dealing with the Undead Tribe for so many years aside from monetary gains, the greatest benefit was losing certain idle interests in human beauties before coming of age.

Perhaps in the future, he’d make a loyal husband... Male Dragons generally forming families with Female Dragons for whatever reason are quite honest.

Unless both partners reached a consensus on certain freedoms.

Terry looked angrily at those troublesome women forcing him to squat here for overtime, inwardly grumbling: If Mystra were truly shattered into so many pieces, how many years would Toril take to unseal?

While money-making days were enjoyable, Terry missed his ball-playing friends.

Suspected by others as unpatchable shards was this person; sitting atop the beautiful Cloud House slowly descending.

At this moment, even if the lawn were softer, atop the house...

Watching the welcoming scene earlier was Edna, whose expression remained blank, yet inwardly was agitated like a storm.

Flying beside her, Elvia couldn’t help but slow down, surveyed the surroundings, then decisively landed atop the hotel... that newly matured Golden Dragon always liked standing here to watch the six directions, so the rooftop must be stable.

Elvia cautiously maintained her balance, diligently stretching her neck downward to observe, while frantically soothing Edna’s emotions within the Mental Sea.

She had many beautiful dreams to fulfill... Before having to enter Josse Garden, she must strive to gather Gold and Silver Jewelry along the Path of Destiny, digging up treasures if possible... must avoid accidentally exposing Edna’s identity.

However, as Edna fiercely led people down from the Cloud House, a quick little figure running towards the Tiger People interrupted her brewing feelings of sorrow and indignation.

’The Perfect Baldy’ resting a hand on his chin, turning around the twin-ponytail head intently scrutinizing Soma: ”Oh wow, they say... can’t say identical, but utterly indistinguishable?”

After contemplating several times, Devis finally understood the riddle spoken by the Undead Tribe.

A bit puzzled, he asked: ”Are you saying someone resembles Soma? Beastmen are sometimes difficult to differentiate, but actually the differences between fur are substantial.

Soma isn’t the only Tiger Person here; some, if unfamiliar, indeed might be mistaken... but to Beastmen the fur structure varies: three strands of yellow, two strands of white, and two strands of white, two strands of yellow, are distinct.”

This proof alone shows they come from different clans.”

The Quel Senta Mage couldn’t help but laugh... No wonder the Undead Tribe was so accustomed to observing Soma. Turns out they had a Tiger People friend in the past who looked a lot like Soma!

But most humans can’t actually distinguish the various odd differences among the Tiger People... He only knew because when he was small, he was held by Soma while watching gladiator fights. The Tiger People were unwilling to watch their own kind fighting to the death for survival, and didn’t want to openly let their kin see him as a lucky one, so they always chatted in the corner.

’Perfect Bald’ turned to look at Devis and waved his hand to summon his family’s tiger: ”Tyson! Come take a look at your twin brother from another father and mother, even from a different world race!”

A giant tiger responded, but its roar was only half-completed before Tyson froze.

This tiger, that stood as tall as two people, slowly circled around Soma, its nose slightly twitching.

Soma was also dazed, not even noticing the somewhat panicked Devis, who was observing back and forth between him and the large tiger.

”Hehe, didn’t I say they’re identical?” ’Perfect Bald’ said proudly, ”We Undead Tribe, checked even down to each hair strand!

If I hadn’t been busy at home coaxing the kids, I would have long brought Tyson to find your Tiger Tribe!”

”Listen to the nonsense you’re spouting...” ’Old Age Striking King’ had a look of exasperation, ”Did you go stir-crazy from being cooped up?”

Soma didn’t pay attention to the chaos the Undead Tribe had caused around him.

The Undead Tribe actually wasn’t wrong... If only looking at the head, Soma even thought he had a Beast Kin brother out there somewhere!

But that was impossible... Though he was caught by slave traders when he was very young, Beastmen have memories even in the womb. He did have a brother, but he was a Beastman too!

His parents died resisting the slave traders, and he didn’t know where his brother ended up... Soma was sure his parents never had offspring with animal bodies!

Moreover... Teraxil’s past interactions with Toril were only on high-level aspects, right?

What is going on?

Soma had been in contact with the Undead Tribe for a fair amount of time, and always liked Teraxil’s Magical Beasts, feeling they were strong and intelligent, even better than some Beastmen.

Honestly, in a way, they compensated for some of the Beastmen’s flaws... Very much like the kind of perfect offspring their Chief Orc God Gewoosh desired, similar to the Dragon Race, but unfortunately can’t transform into human form.

Perfect... offspring?

Soma tightly shut his eyes, as if recalling something, his tiger eyes widened in an instant and he lunged at Tyson, parting the fur on his neck!

Tyson tensed up, let out a low growl, and suddenly stood on two legs, but the usually temperamental him didn’t choose to shake off the Tiger Person who dared grab his neck fur. Instead, under ’Perfect Bald’s’ shout of ’Tyson! Don’t use force!’ he slowly lowered back down.

”Soma? What are you doing?” Devis couldn’t help but yell.

The quarreling Undead Tribe and the onlookers, including Edna, were all surprised and gathered around.

”It really exists!” Soma’s furry face was filled with panic, ”I thought it was just a legend!”

”Tell us... your story.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ frowned as he stepped forward, with his fox beside him for once... Normally, the fox feared sticking around Old Dog, worried that those who disliked Old Dog might just kill him on a whim...

Old Dog would at most cry, but he could lose his life!

’Perfect Bald’ quietly moved a small chair beside his tiger’s paw, pressing down on its restless, claw-twitching paw with one hand.

Soma was a bit dazed... Even when pulled aside by the Undead Tribe and seated on a long bench, he seemed oblivious.

He began reminiscing: ”It’s an ancient legend we’ve heard since before we were born. It’s the eternal glory of our Idiya Tribe, a radiant piece of history that none of us can forget, even if we forget our own parents:

Our Tiger Tribe was once summoned to Hell to participate in the eternal war between Gewoosh and Magnubiyeh, securing a glorious victory for him at that time.

Thus we were awarded by Gewoosh, allowed to take all Beast Kin born in animal form!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Hill atop the Floating Castle suddenly lifted his head. How is this possible? Could it be...
