My Alleged Husband

Chapter 121: Chapter 106: Where’s the Big Gift?_1

Even though Li Jiayuan felt that what Xiao Wei said made a lot of sense, she still felt it was a bit unfair to Xiao Wei. She didn’t want anyone she cared about to suffer any grievance, not even a tiny bit.

”Xiao Wei, I’ve wronged you. I won’t let you suffer any more grievances in the future. Thank you for today, for saying so much to me, which prevented me from hurting my father who loves me.”

Xiao Wei was momentarily stunned. He hadn’t expected Li Jiayuan to suddenly thank him, and even more so, to bow while saying it, which left Xiao Wei feeling unexpectedly flattered.

”Jiayuan, don’t be like this. We’re a couple, aren’t couples supposed to help each other? Why are you being so formal with me?” Xiao Wei quickly regained his composure and took Li Jiayuan’s hand, speaking to her.

...

While the two of them were engrossed in their conversation in the VIP room, Xia Jing and Zhang Zhentian pushed the door open and came in.

”What are you two doing? The wedding ceremony hasn’t even started yet, and you two are already being all lovey-dovey here, is that appropriate?” Zhang Zhentian had walked in just in time to see Xiao Wei kissing Li Jiayuan and he immediately spoke up.

Li Jiayuan was embarrassed. When had Zhang Zhentian come in? It was so mortifying...

”Brother-in-law, don’t you knock before entering?” Xiao Wei was also startled by Zhang Zhentian’s sudden outburst, but then again, a person caught ”in the act” would surely be scared half to death if someone suddenly pushed the door open.

Zhang Zhentian rolled his eyes at Xiao Wei and said to Li Jiayuan and Xiao Wei, ”Please, we did knock before entering. It’s just that you two were so engrossed in your naughtiness that you didn’t hear it. I knocked for a while and didn’t hear a response; I thought you weren’t in. So I pushed the door open myself, but how was I supposed to know that the moment I did, I’d see you two kissing!”

The more Zhang Zhentian spoke, the hotter Li Jiayuan’s face felt.

Xia Jing, standing outside the door, watched the situation inside the room. She just couldn’t help herself; she found Li Jiayuan and Xiao Wei’s predicament hilarious.

”Oh, is Jiayuan feeling shy?” Xia Jing walked in from outside and said to Li Jiayuan.

Seeing Xia Jing, Li Jiayuan felt like she’d seen a savior and immediately rushed towards her. However, before she could reach Xia Jing, Zhang Zhentian stopped her.

”What’s the matter, I can’t hug my sister?” Li Jiayuan yelled at Zhang Zhentian. She was almost driven to embarrassment by Zhang Zhentian. Why wouldn’t he let her hug her own sister?

”Of course, you can. I didn’t say you couldn’t,” Zhang Zhentian turned and looked at Li Jiayuan.

”If it’s okay, then why are you blocking me?” Li Jiayuan didn’t understand why Zhang Zhentian would stop her if he said it was okay.

”You certainly can hug my wife, but you can’t just charge at her like that. She’s pregnant now and can’t withstand the impact of your ’enormous’ body,” Zhang Zhentian was indeed sharp-tongued, not considering whether Li Jiayuan, a girl, could bear such comments!

”Sister, look at how brother-in-law is talking about me. I’m a girl, doesn’t brother-in-law know that weight is a girl’s secret? Even if he doesn’t know, he shouldn’t talk about me like that!”

Li Jiayuan was truly upset by Zhang Zhentian’s words. She weighed less than ninety pounds, yet Zhang Zhentian described her as ”enormous,” which really made her feel uncomfortable. She shook off Zhang Zhentian’s hand and walked over to link arms with Xia Jing.

”Brother-in-law, aren’t you being too vicious with your words? She’s my wife; how can you talk about her like that? You only dare to say such things to Jiayuan, do you also dare to say them to Elder Sister Xia?” Xiao Wei started to set a trap for Zhang Zhentian. If Zhang Zhentian was smart, he wouldn’t fall into the snare Xiao Wei had laid, but Zhang Zhentian foolishly jumped right in.

”Who says I don’t dare? Just watch me!” Zhang Zhentian turned to face Xia Jing and shouted, ”Xia Jing, you’re just a fat pig in my heart...”

Not only was Xia Jing stunned, but Li Jiayuan and Xiao Wei were too!

Xiao Wei had not expected Zhang Zhentian to be so bold. He had simply tried to use reverse psychology, but Zhang Zhentian actually went ahead and said such an unpleasant thing to Xia Jing.
