My Alleged Husband

Chapter 111: Chapter 100 Don’t do this_2

Zhang Zhentian, listening to Xia Jing’s words, couldn’t help but reflect: Had he really changed? Zhang Zhentian, what kind of marriage did you want, what kind of family did you desire, did you want a peaceful life or a noisy one?

”Zhentian, I know that saying these things to you today might hurt your feelings, but I just hope you realize that you should never argue with me; instead, you should care for me. The care I want isn’t superficial, it’s genuine, do you understand? Maybe you think Xia Jing is being pretentious, but I’m also a woman, I deserve to be accompanied and cared for by my husband just like any other woman. No matter what you do wrong, I can forgive you, and I don’t forgive you for any other reason than because I truly love you. That’s why I tolerate all the mistakes you make, and I hope you’ll think about it, have you genuinely cared for me for even a single day since you learned I was pregnant? I don’t ask for you to make sacrifices for me, I don’t expect that you would lay down your life for me, I just want you to genuinely care for me, even if it’s just for a few short seconds, that would make me completely satisfied!”

Xia Jing said this and started to cry, looking at Zhang Zhentian, who was silent, she spoke again: ”Zhentian, I know you are tired from work every day, and you say I have changed, I admit I have indeed changed, but do you dare say you haven’t? Don’t you remember how you treated me before we got married? Even if you don’t remember, I do, yet since we got married, you’ve been making trouble for me, and you haven’t said a single heartwarming word to me since. Don’t you realize that acting this way easily chills my heart? Disappointment after disappointment leads to despair, and repeated despair can only result in separation. I don’t want it to come to that day between us!”

”Xia Jing, I was wrong before, I shouldn’t have treated you like that, I did it because I saw a strange man texting you! Can you forgive me, please?” Zhang Zhentian finally spoke, he had realized that no matter what, nothing was more important than his wife who had once risked everything for him.

Xia Jing sighed deeply. Zhang Zhentian was always like this, messing up, hurting the heart of the person who loved him, and then begging for forgiveness!

”I told you, no matter what you do, I will forgive you unconditionally, but this doesn’t mean you can make mistakes without restraint. The day you truly break my heart, I will leave you without hesitation. As for the message, since you saw it, you should have just asked me instead of recklessly tormenting me. How can you be so cruel? If I hadn’t been so tired that I fell asleep, would you have allowed me to lose half my life? Before and after marriage, it’s like you’re two different people, and that’s a fact. Right after we got married, you said those words to me, and I forgave you. Before our marriage, you said so many hurtful things to me, and I forgave you, but I have my limits. I am not a Saint, I cannot endlessly forgive a person’s mistakes... If you regret marrying me, you can tell me, I won’t cling to you, I will leave on my own after giving birth to this child, and I won’t ask you for a dime, you can rest assured!” Xia Jing finished speaking and turned around, taking the quilt and pillow with her. She wanted to sleep in the guest room, she really didn’t want to see Zhang Zhentian right now!

”Xia Jing, can you please not be like this to me?” Zhang Zhentian begged.

”This is how I am, what can you do about it?” Xia Jing flatly refused Zhang Zhentian’s plea! She couldn’t let Zhang Zhentian think she was someone easy to bully!

Zhang Zhentian stood there stunned, Xia Jing was truly heartbroken this time. For so many years, she had never spoken to Zhang Zhentian like this, this was the first and last time, it’s hard to heal a wounded heart!

Zhang Zhentian watched her figure growing more distant, wanting to call out to Xia Jing, but it was as if something was blocking his throat, leaving him speechless. He wished he could walk over and grab Xia Jing’s hand, but his feet were as if rooted to the ground, immobile, he could only watch helplessly as Xia Jing entered the guest room and closed the door, unable to do anything.

Xia Jing closed the door and hid under the covers crying, she really hadn’t expected her long-awaited marriage to turn out like this!
