Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 401: Chapter 301: Bombing the Army of Mutant Creatures!_2

Now, this group of mutant creatures really has the feel of an army!

Looking at the orderly beast army outside, the smile on Xu Xin’s lips grew wider.

If only the plant heart was defending his treehouse, such an attack might truly leave him scrambling.

But he also had the treehouse’s ballista and electric net, especially the explosive bolts, the denser they were deployed, the greater the damage they caused!

A peculiar and piercing sound rang out, it was that whistle again!

The mutant creature army moved upon hearing it, the neatly packed ranks all sprang up, rushing towards Xu Xin’s treehouse!

”Attack!” Xu Xin shouted.

Lou Fei’Er immediately went into action, controlling the ballista around the treehouse to launch an attack!

The two treehouse ballistae that could target the northwest slightly lifted, continuously launching explosive bolts in that direction!

Countless bolts followed a parabolic path towards the mutant creature army a hundred meters away, creating a sky-darkening scene with just two ballistae!

The mutant creatures were very agile, despite the overwhelming rain of bolts, they still maintained high-speed movement, most of them slightly tilting their bodies to dodge the bolts.

But they didn’t know these were not ordinary bolts, but explosive bolts with a blast range!

Continuous fire ignited among the beast horde!

”Boom! Boom! Boom!”

Thunderous explosions echoed, accompanied by the tragic screams of countless mutant creatures, smoke filled the forest, and a rain of blood dyed the scant white snow red!

The once orderly mutant creature army was thrown into chaos by the explosive bolts before they advanced into the hundred-meter area of the plant heart, their formation disrupted.

The sound of earning points echoed in Xu Xin’s ear.

He glanced at Lou Fei’Er, who was continuously operating, and asked, ”Did you receive a point notification?”

Lou Fei’Er was taken aback, looked up at Xu Xin, then shook her head, ”No, since you contracted me, I haven’t gotten any notifications. Points I should have earned probably all belong to you now.”

Lou Fei’Er didn’t mind, she continued manipulating the control panel, a smile of excitement appearing as her hands swiftly moved: ”I bang, I bang! I’ll blast you all!”

As a captive, she was now resigned, feeling it was normal for her points to be confiscated by her master. Besides, in her opinion, the points store didn’t have anything worthwhile, so points didn’t matter much to her.

Even if there were new good things in the future, as long as she behaved and didn’t cause trouble, she wasn’t afraid Xu Xin wouldn’t give them to her.

Of course, the only drawback was without the notification sound, she couldn’t know if she had killed her target, relying only on her instinct.

Xu Xin was very satisfied with this mechanism too.

With Silver King Mimi as a contracted beast, points from them killing mutant creatures all belonged to Xu Xin, so it was only natural for Lou Fei’Er, a contracted human, to be the same.

Moreover, his points store offered the lowest 30% discount for all survivors, allowing points to have their greatest effect with him.

Suddenly, the sharp whistle sounded again, and the batch of mutant creatures at the frontline, blasted to bits by the explosive bolts, charged out of the smoke.

Most of the frontline mutant creatures had died under the onslaught of the explosive bolts, only a few managed to break through, albeit covered in scars and blood, looking utterly miserable.

Yet, even so, their speed did not slow as they charged into the hundred-meter realm of the plant heart.

Instantly, the ground cracked open again, vines emerged, directly impaling the first batch of incoming mutant creatures, easily resolving them.

However, the unharmed batch of mutant creatures behind suddenly erupted, launching a fierce attack on the vines that were now absorbing the first batch.

The first batch was bait, the second batch attacked, a decent strategy.

”Why did you stop? Keep blasting them!” Seeing Lou Fei’Er’s hands had stopped, Xu Xin scolded.

”But... they are mixed in with the vines now, aren’t these vines our allies, I...” Lou Fei’Er was a bit at a loss on what to do.

Although she didn’t know why these vines were protecting their treehouse, since they cooperated in attacking the mutant beasts, they were allies, right? They can’t attack their own side, can they?

”Who told you to hit the area within a hundred meters?” Xu Xin almost wanted to smack her head, ”Blast those at the back! Cripple them before they get within a hundred meters, that will make it easier for the vines to attack!”

”Oh oh oh!” Lou Fei’Er immediately resumed operation, then sheepishly said, ”I was just, focusing on those vines! Uh, can you tell me what they are all about later?”

”Focus on attacking, I’ll tell you once this crisis is over.”

”Understood, sir!”

Xu Xin’s attention was always on the side of the mutant creature army, particularly on those intermediate mutant creatures.

On the map, their red dots were much brighter than those of other mutant creatures.

They were still in no hurry to charge in, watching these lower-level guys being wiped out in waves, unfazed.

Xu Xin felt that the plant heart might not be able to handle them while dealing with the mutant creature army.

These guys needed to be dealt with using other means.
