Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 420: Chapter 309 Lou Fei’Er’s Strange State Nap_2

The treehouse still has a self-cleaning function?

Or does the treehouse absorb this blood?

Xu Xin put away the corpse, and Lou Fei’Er finally breathed a sigh of relief, then collapsed and sat on the ground.

”What on earth have I turned into...” Her mood was low, and she was slightly out of control, ”To actually feel that way about human flesh, I must be crazy...”

”Do you feel this way about Ma Hongwei as well?” Xu Xin pondered for a moment and asked.

Lou Fei’Er shook her head and said, ”This person indeed gives me the same kind of feeling as Ma Hongwei, but Ma Hongwei doesn’t have this allure.”

Xu Xin slowly nodded.

”Whimper...” Keke walked over to Lou Fei’Er and gently nudged her.

Seeing Keke like this, Lou Fei’Er felt much better for some reason, and her previous gloom was swept away.

She patted Keke’s little head, then stood up and said to Xu Xin, ”Regarding this, I actually have a theory, would you like to hear it? I think it makes sense.”

”Go ahead.”

Lou Fei’Er prepared her words, then spoke.

”That person is indeed of the same kind as me, but perhaps he ate something, or injected something into his body, allowing him to remain in a state of eruption all the time, and it’s also this thing that’s frequently affecting me, nearly causing me to mutate.”

Lou Fei’Er pointed to her own face.

Now her face has returned to its flawless state, and the blood patterns that crawled up her cheeks have completely disappeared.

”This also explains why I feel that way about his body, because in his body, there is a substance that can keep me in an explosive state! It’s that substance that’s alluring, not his flesh!”

Lou Fei’Er said firmly, also trying to cheer herself up; she didn’t want to become a freak interested in human flesh!

Xu Xin then fell into thought.

What she said was also what Xu Xin had just been considering.

This mutated human reacted immediately upon hearing the whistle and died instantly, indicating there must be something in his body that’s affected by the whistle.

And this thing is very likely the work of those fuzzy whistle creatures.

Xu Xin thought of Wen Guixin’s mental toxins.

Perhaps, the nature is similar to mental toxins. Controlling this mutated human’s body, it can also lead to his death.

Could it be that other mutated creatures are also controlled by this method, this substance?

”Do you feel this way about other creatures’ corpses?” Xu Xin asked again.

Lou Fei’Er shook her head and said, ”No, only him, only he makes me feel this way.”

It seems it shouldn’t be.

Xu Xin nodded, which was somewhat reassuring.

”Alright, relax, it might have really just been due to what you said, a certain substance erupting, and you were just affected, no major issue.” Xu Xin shook his head, ”But everything happened so suddenly, I didn’t even have time to tell them to bring you into the explorers.”

”...Let’s not do that for now.” Lou Fei’Er hesitated herself, she sighed, ”I don’t even know what state I’m in right now, best to follow you for now, if...”

She bit her lip, ”If I truly go mad, then... just kill me, I don’t want to turn into a zombie, completely losing my own will!”

”You’re really thinking far ahead.” Xu Xin was somewhat helpless, perhaps affected by some influence, this person’s emotions started becoming unstable again, ”If you really go crazy, I’ll lock you in a wristband, see if you can recover.”

”...” Lou Fei’Er’s eye twitched, her expression bitter, she glanced at Xu Xin with some resentment, ”Then you might as well kill me, my master...”

At this time, Qi Xuefei and Li Wenxi, having finished showering, came out of the bathroom, both wearing a new set of leather armor.

”What are you talking about? Just now Fei’Er suddenly screamed.” Li Wenxi walked up, wanting to sit next to Xu Xin, but seeing the blood on the sofa and remembering she just showered, didn’t sit down, ”Quickly clean up the room, it’s all blood, so uncomfortable! Fei’Er, won’t you go shower?”

”No, I’ll just return to my own treehouse.” Lou Fei’Er pointed towards her parasitic treehouse, she didn’t want others to know about her current state.

”How is the situation?” Qi Xuefei asked.

She had just been slightly startled, but now she was long recovered.

”Ji Chaoyang went to chase it, but it’s uncertain if he can catch up. No clues found from the mutated human’s corpse.”

”...How about giving me the corpse, I can dissect it a bit.” Qi Xuefei hesitated and said, ”But I can’t guarantee I’ll find any information.”

Although she’s studied dissection, she’s not a forensic expert, it’s not her field, and might not find any anomalies.

”That works.” Xu Xin directly handed her the backpack containing the corpse, ”The corpse is inside, just the head is a bit... um... the other parts are intact.”

Qi Xuefei took the backpack, checked inside, then nodded, ”Alright, I’ll head back then.”

Xu Xin escorted Lou Fei’Er and Qi Xuefei to the treehouse.

Li Wenxi was left behind, he still wanted to inquire slightly about what happened during Li Wenxi’s sleep.
