Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 419: Chapter 309 Lou Fei’Er’s Strange State Takes a Nap

Everyone in the treehouse fell silent for two seconds, unable to believe what had just happened before their eyes.

Qi Xuefei was drenched in blood. As a doctor, her tolerance for such situations was much stronger, so she didn’t feel too disgusted.

But witnessing a person’s head explode right in front of her still gave her quite a scare, and being covered in blood was indeed very unpleasant.

Luckily, Xu Xin had a water heater and pump here, allowing them to take a shower immediately, and Li Wenxi promptly took Qi Xuefei to shower.

”The direction in which he escaped is directly towards my treehouse.” Ji Chaoyang, standing by the window, glanced outside again, his gaze serious, ”Xu Xin, let me down, I need to return to the treehouse, perhaps I can find its trail there.”

”...It can’t be seen on my map anymore; it might not be nearby. Are you sure you want to go after it?”

Chasing from his treehouse was certainly out of the question, the red dot outside was too fast, and when it was about a kilometer from Xu Xin’s treehouse, it suddenly disappeared.

He remembered the location where the red dot vanished.

There are only three possibilities why the red dot suddenly disappeared from the map.

The first is that the creature represented by the red dot has died; the second is that the creature has gone underground, rendering his map abilities incapable of tracking.

The third is that it was transported to another location through a purple-black whirlpool.

Given the previous circumstances, Xu Xin felt the third possibility was most likely. So even if they went searching now, it would probably be a waste of time.

”I am sure. The scene I foresaw might be related to this. I must go and see.”

”Alright, then I’ll let you down. By the way...” Xu Xin informed him of the location where the mutant human had vanished, ”You can take a look.”

Xu Xin didn’t ask Ji Chaoyang what he saw in his prediction.

If he wants to say it, he naturally will, and given his character, he wouldn’t hide anything.

After seeing off Ji Chaoyang, Xu Xin squatted in front of the dead mutant human.

”Eeh...” Keke jumped down from the dining table, shook her body, and walked over to Xu Xin’s side.

Mimi Silver King also gathered around.

The state of this person’s death was simply too tragic.

He forced himself to tolerate the discomfort, scrutinizing the mutant human’s face and wounds, hoping to find any useful clues.

Ultimately, he found nothing.

This person’s body certainly held some secrets, but unfortunately, before they could interrogate him properly, the other side silenced him by murder.

Xu Xin stood up helplessly and, turning his head, noticed Lou Fei’Er standing nearby in a somewhat bizarre state.

Lou Fei’Er stared wide-eyed at the corpse on the ground, her breathing growing slightly rapid as two blood streaks quietly crawled up her cheeks.

Xu Xin could feel her power continuously surging, seeming to enter an explosive mode at any moment.

It’s that situation again!

Xu Xin immediately looked around at the few beasts; none of them exhibited anything like Lou Fei’Er.

”Lou Fei’Er, wake up!” Xu Xin shouted immediately.

But it had no effect, she seemed as if she couldn’t hear, even sticking out her tongue to lick the blood splattered on her lips, and the red glint in her eyes intensified!

Seeing the situation, Xu Xin directly slapped her on the back of her head, causing her to plunge into the sofa.

”Ah!” Lou Fei’Er screamed, her whole body even bounced up from the sofa.

”What’s wrong?” Li Wenxi and Qi Xuefei’s voices echoed from the bathroom.

”It’s nothing, don’t worry.” Xu Xin responded, walking over to Lou Fei’Er who was propping herself up from the sofa, grabbing her collar and lifting her.

If she continued like this, Xu Xin would have to put her into the wristband to calm her down.

Lou Fei’Er turned her head and immediately figured out Xu Xin’s intent, hastily waving her hand in a panic, ”No! No! I’m back to normal now!”

Xu Xin’s expression slightly relaxed, he observed Lou Fei’Er’s panicked and bewildered face for a moment, then sat down on the sofa with Keke, ”Tell me, what did you feel just now.”

Her situation this time was similar to when they first discovered this person, almost entering an explosive mode.

This mutant human, unable to even move, continued to affect Lou Fei’Er even in death—what kind of magic power did he possess?

Lou Fei’Er took several deep breaths to regain her composure.

”This person’s blood and flesh hold an intense temptation for me.” She stood before Xu Xin and began narrating her feelings, ”I can’t describe it, but if I must compare, I guess it was like... a starving zombie seeing fresh human meat?”

”Oh?” Xu Xin glanced at her, ”Was that your feeling from the start?”

”...Before he exploded, it was just a slight sensation, not very apparent, but now...” Lou Fei’Er glanced at the person on the ground again, her pupils starting to tremble, then turned to plead with Xu Xin, ”Can you put it away, please? I feel like I’m going insane...”

Xu Xin casually found a green-level backpack to store the mutant’s corpse.

Although the contents within the backpack do not interfere with one another, the corpse was too eerie, and with the other items, especially food, in the backpack, Xu Xin found it completely unacceptable.

However, he was amazed to discover that the bloodstains where the corpse fell, and those originally splattered on the treehouse walls and ceiling, had completely vanished.
