Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 406: Chapter 303: The Besieged Treehouse

Xu Xin first came to the coordinates and attempted to connect the coordinates on Li Wenxi’s side.

Purple and black light gathered, the coordinates connected successfully, and the portal appeared.

It’s good that it succeeded, indicating the coordinates weren’t damaged.

The position of the coordinates on that side has been surrounded by mutant creatures, he feared the coordinates would be destroyed, and then he’d have to ride the Silver King there, which would take too much time.

He didn’t step into the portal but returned to the treehouse.

Keke pounced directly: ”Ying!”

Just now, Xu Xin was knocked down by a snow leopard, which really scared it, crying anxiously from above.

”It was really dangerous just now!” Lou Fei’Er also came over, ”I almost shot at that snow leopard!”

”Were you going to hit me as well?” Xu Xin patted Keke’s little head and said to Lou Fei’Er, ”We can’t relax yet, the beast swarm hasn’t been completely dealt with. You stay in the treehouse, I’ll go help Wenxi, she’s about to collapse over there.”

”Help Wenxi? I also...”

”You can’t.” Xu Xin shook his head and placed Keke onto the sofa.

The coordinates on the other side are already surrounded by mutant creatures, although they’re all low-level mutant creatures, if Lou Fei’Er went over, she would collapse on the ground, completely losing combat capability. Even low-level mutants, she can’t handle.

Silver King and Mimi are the same.

Xu Xin sighed, suddenly feeling whether he should set up a few portals inside the treehouse solely for transmission between these explorers.

...But that wouldn’t be suitable, then anyone could come and go from others’ treehouses through the portal without permission.

But in this situation, he can only go alone.

Fortunately, the opponent is all low-level mutant creatures, with his current equipment and abilities, he can completely fight through unharmed among the low-level mutants.

Honestly, he’s starting to feel itchy.

Lou Fei’Er also remembered her problem of fainting and nodded, ”I understand, you go ahead, I’m assured here.”

The current Lou Fei’Er does indeed reassure him a lot more.

”If something happens, directly use my screen to contact your treehouse, my watch can receive communication records.” Xu Xin pointed at the screen and raised his left wrist.

Because communication is still possible between the main treehouse and parasitic treehouses, they can communicate this way.

Seeing Xu Xin lift his left hand, Lou Fei’Er instinctively stepped back a bit.

”No need to be so scared.” Xu Xin was speechless, glancing at the wristband on his left hand, Ma Hongwei and that mutant human were still inside, ”You just held it.”

”I... I still can’t handle it.” Lou Fei’Er shook her head vigorously, ”I understand, you should go help Wenxi.”

”Ying!” Keke also knew Xu Xin was going to fight and didn’t cling to him. Instead, it stood up and waved its paw.

Xu Xin nodded and didn’t waste any more time, directly swinging down from the treehouse.

The portal entrance hasn’t closed yet, and the purple-black vortex continued to swirl.

Xu Xin checked the map again, confirming that on Li Wenxi’s side, around the coordinates, there were indeed only low-level mutant creatures, and he stepped through the portal.

...

On the other side, in Li Wenxi’s treehouse.

”Yajun! Load the ammo! The explosive bolts are almost gone!” Li Wenxi operated the control panel, sweat continuously streaming down her pale cheeks, soaking her leather armor.

”Loading!”

”Yajun, Yajun! I’m almost out too, request reinforcement!” Le Youfang’s voice carried a hint of urgency and fatigue.

He has no control panel and can only manually control a crossbow behind him, specifically in charge of hitting mutant creatures on this side, while Li Wenxi operated the control panel for the other three sides. Li Yajun was responsible for loading ammo between treehouses.

They also tried activating the auto mode since there were so many mutants around, hitting anywhere was hitting.

However, the auto mode’s arrow consumption was extremely fast, often shooting five to ten arrows at one place, hitting many, but causing less harm to the beast swarm.

Although they had a lot of ammo, they didn’t know how long these beast swarms would last and had to use cautiously.

”This is too much...” Li Wenxi felt her hand operating the control panel was sore, watching the mutant creatures’ body parts wildly flying due to explosions, she became numb.

Suddenly, a sharp sound reached her ears, clearing her foggy brain from the intense explosion sound.

”What sound?” Li Wenxi became alert, ”A whistle?”

She then noticed, the blood marks on those low-level mutants that had been intimidated by the electric grid and dared not attack around her treehouse, lit up all of a sudden!

Then they started frantically attacking the electric grid!

Continuous kill notifications sounded in her ears, batches of mutants were electrocuted to death by the grid.

But her face turned grim.

Because the electric grid was already deforming and was about to be breached!

These low-level mutants, enhanced by an unknown whistle, now intended to break through the grid defense with their lives!
