Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 421: Chapter 309 Lou Fei’Er’s Strange State Nap_3

Of course, Li Wenxi herself had no intention of leaving. After contacting Li Yajun and Le Youfang to confirm there was nothing unusual with her tree house, she pushed Xu Xin into the bathroom to take a bath while she helped Xu Xin tidy up the tree house.

Although the blood stains on the walls and floor seemed to have been automatically cleaned by the tree house, the furniture was still somewhat stained.

When Xu Xin came out after her bath, Li Wenxi had already made the interior of the tree house look brand new again, even cleaner than it was before the bloodstains.

Even though the idea of bloodstains made her uncomfortable, most of Xu Xin’s furniture was blue-grade, and replacing it would be too wasteful. Li Wenxi kept the blue-grade furniture and replaced all the green-grade ones.

After all, she had an excess of green-grade materials, so much so that if she had more, her tree house might be crushed under the weight.

If it were Ji Chaoyang, he might replace everything in the tree house, including the blue-grade ones, since that guy couldn’t tolerate such things.

”Whew, finally done cleaning!” Li Wenxi sat on the newly changed sofa, stretched lazily, picked up Keke who was lying on the sofa, and laid on Xu Xin’s lap who had just sat beside her, ”Xu Xin, when do you think we can live without the threat of death?”

”All we can do is keep strengthening ourselves.” Xu Xin pinched Li Wenxi’s cheek, ”Don’t lie down; I have something I want to ask you.”

”What is it? Can’t you ask like this?” Li Wenxi had no intention of getting up; she continued to lie on her side, with her soft cheek resting on Xu Xin’s leg, even rubbing it a bit.

Xu Xin twitched his eyelids, resisting the urge to lift her up and punish her right there. He told Li Wenxi what had happened earlier in this position.

After listening, Li Wenxi suddenly sat up, looked at Keke pretending to sleep in her arms, widened her eyes, and said, ”You mean, just now I fell asleep suddenly because of Keke?”

Keke twisted its head, looking at the two of them.

”Keke, was it you who just made me fall asleep?” Li Wenxi held Keke up to her face and stared at it.

”Ying?” Keke let out a confused sound, tilting its head, not knowing what Li Wenxi was talking about.

Xu Xin took Keke over, stroked its head, and softly asked, ”Keke, do you know what your abilities are?”

”Ying...?” Keke blankly looked at Xu Xin, then buried its head in Xu Xin’s arms, murmuring, ”Ying...”

Does Keke apparently not know its abilities?

Was it just a coincidence that happened earlier?

Sitting next to them, Li Wenxi looked at Keke, pondering something, and her eyes grew wider. Finally, she exclaimed, ”That’s right, it was definitely Keke who influenced me just now!”

”Oh?” Xu Xin looked at her, ”You could feel it?”

”Yes!” Li Wenxi nodded vigorously, ”After lunch, I was holding Keke and smoothing its fur. At that time, I felt like today, Keke was a bit different. Holding it, the entire atmosphere was so... relaxing and comforting! Right, that’s how I felt, I was curious when I put it down, and that feeling disappeared!”

...So, Keke’s sudden ability is subtly influencing the surroundings?

”Well... but hugging it now, I don’t feel that way anymore.” Li Wenxi hugged Keke into her arms and rubbed it forcefully, ”Now Keke is just an ordinary Keke!”

”Ying~” Keke called softly, enjoying Li Wenxi’s rubbing.

So, does Keke in sleep induce everyone around into sleep?

But Keke sleeps next to his pillow every night and often in his arms or on his shoulders. How come he never felt a thing?

Could it be a new ability Keke just acquired?

An ability gained from sleeping too much recently?

”Today, there shouldn’t be any more disasters, right? The others haven’t restored communication, which means their crisis isn’t over yet.” Li Wenxi lay back on Xu Xin’s lap, ”Before their disaster ends, we should be safe, right? Let’s take a nap. We haven’t taken a nap for a long time!”

Xu Xin indeed hadn’t taken a nap for a long time.

Before coming to this world, he belonged to the kind who would collapse if he didn’t nap at noon; it was a daily necessity.

But after coming to this world, there was no time for naps, and he had those blue-grade oranges that restore spiritual power, making naps such a luxury activity he hadn’t indulged in for a long time.

Keke was already nestling asleep in Li Wenxi’s arms.

Xu Xin began to sense something amiss.

”Hmm... just this feeling, so comfortable...” Li Wenxi was mumbling while resting on Xu Xin’s leg.

Xu Xin also felt a hint of leisure and comfort, his body and mind gradually relaxing.

”Is this...” he looked at Keke in Li Wenxi’s arms, ”Keke’s ability?”

”Sleep...”

Li Wenxi held back her sleepiness, propped herself up, reached out, and pushed Xu Xin onto the sofa, then snuggled into his arms.

The two of them squeezed onto the not-so-large sofa, with a small panda resting on them.

Xu Xin looked at her face nearby, at the almond eyes that couldn’t stay open and her slightly puckered lips, and softly said, ”...I really want to carry you to bed right now...”

Under Keke’s influence, he too began to feel drowsy, his body losing strength.

Li Wenxi was already half-asleep, beginning to talk nonsense: ”Heh... come on... don’t know if tomorrow or accidents will come first... why not just marry you...”

Saying this, she leaned forward and gently kissed Xu Xin’s lips, then laid her face against his, closed her eyes fully, and breathed softly.

She fell asleep. But that sentence just now was probably her true thoughts.

Hearing this, Xu Xin really wanted to carry her to the bedroom, but he was also powerless then.

Just before losing consciousness, he took another look at Keke.

This little guy is surprisingly terrifying...
