Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 404: Chapter 302 Fierce Battle, The Beast Tide Subsides!_2

These snow wolves, pressed forward one after another, attacking the side of the electric grid farther from Xu Xin!

In the flashes of electricity, the leading snow wolves howled and fell, and the ones behind leaped forward to attack the same spot where the earlier snow wolves had.

They intended to concentrate their attack on a single point to destroy this part of the grid!

”Silver King, go defend that spot!”

”Awooo—” the Silver King let out a howl and dashed towards the section of the grid that was on the verge of breaking.

At the sound of the Silver King’s howl, the shapes of countless snow wolves paused, momentarily affected.

After all, the Silver King was once a Wolf King, a mid-level mutated creature, very similar to their king.

The army of mutated creatures had mostly entered the plant heart’s area. Xu Xin immediately shouted to Afu who was flapping its wings in the air, ”Afu, it’s your turn to attack!”

Afu, upon hearing this, immediately flew ten meters into the air, flapping its wings, emitting a scream more piercing than ever before, echoing throughout the entire mutated creature horde!

Even though Afu was still a low-level mutated creature, it was only a step away from becoming a mid-level one. Under its soundwave attack, the low-level mutated creatures froze, dazed for half a second.

And it was in this half-second that the plant heart began a mighty slaughter!

Within the horde of mutated creatures, blood splattered everywhere, and the battle line retreated twenty to thirty meters backward.

Having launched a soundwave attack, Afu wobbled in the air, looking as though it might fall at any moment.

It seemed that Afu had exerted all its strength to create a barrier for this group of low-level mutated creatures before it.

”Afu, go back and rest.”

With permission granted, Afu flapped its wings, dodging the explosive arrows shot continuously in its direction, zigzagging back towards the treehouse.

At this time, another snow leopard leapt in, and Xu Xin, without a second thought, swung the spear at it.

The snow leopard had to dodge the vines that suddenly pierced from the ground to attack it while simultaneously facing Xu Xin’s spear, becoming immediately flustered.

In midair, it twisted its body, reaching with its sharp claws towards the steel blade of the spear!

However, the mutant weapon of a mid-level mutated creature, even as the strongest of the blue grade, was up against Xu Xin’s steel spear, a weapon of the purple grade, and the strongest of that grade!

”Crack!”

With the sound of the claws breaking and the snow leopard’s shrill cry, the snow leopard met with failure. Before landing, Xu Xin had already disabled one of its claws!

Upon landing, it rolled on the ground, continuing to dodge the attacks from the vines, its hind legs pushing off with force, pouncing towards Xu Xin!

So fast!

Everything happened in a flash of lightning, the snow leopard’s burst of speed too quick, Xu Xin had no time to react before being taken down to the ground!

The speed difference was simply too vast! Indeed, feline creatures were top-tier among all creatures of the same mutated level, and if facing that Snow Wolf King, he wouldn’t be in such a sorry state!

In close quarters combat, the spear was ineffective, facing the ferocious mouth, Xu Xin hesitated only briefly before regaining his composure, landing a heavy punch on the blood-marked face of the snow leopard.

The snow leopard intended to bite off Xu Xin’s head in one go, but was struck powerfully, its head swerving, and it bit into his shoulder instead!

”Crack!”

”Hiss—”

The sharp teeth met the purple-grade steel armor, Xu Xin felt searing pain in his shoulder instantly and hammered the side of the snow leopard’s head quickly.

Just as it was about to bite down, the snow leopard loosened its mouth, let out a wailing cry, blood dripping from its mouth as it staggered backward, shaking its head.

By this time, Mimi leapt viciously into the fray beside them, beginning its attack on the snow leopard!

Xu Xin glanced at the snow leopard he had just fought; it was now pierced through by vines, drawing more breath than releasing.

One-on-one, Mimi might have taken a long time or even struggled against it, but with the plant heart’s help, the snow leopard was subdued on the spot.

And the snow leopard that had lost a claw due to Xu Xin was naturally no match for the berserk Mimi and was pinned directly down by it.

A notification of the snow leopard’s defeat sounded in Xu Xin’s ears, and he relaxed.

Thus, two of the three most troublesome snow leopards were dead, with the remaining one being beaten down by Mimi.

On the other side, the wolf pack tactics had begun to show results, as even though the low-level mutant wolves were affected by Afu’s attack and many were slaughtered by the plant heart, another wave rushed in recklessly.

One section of the electric grid had been dismantled, the Snow Wolf King had already crossed through it, entering the area within the electric grid, entangled with the Silver King.

Meanwhile, the mid-level mutated snow fox took this opportunity to slip in, avoiding vine attacks while leaving mark after mark on the Silver King who was being entangled by the Snow Wolf King.

Xu Xin picked up his spear and leaped forward with a strong kick.

He leapt into the air, spearhead aiming fiercely at the wolf pack continuously squeezing through the broken opening!

”Crack!”

The purple-grade spear pierced directly through a wolf’s skull. Xu Xin didn’t stop, swinging across to sweep away the majority of the wolves at the opening, their blood and severed limbs scattering around!

After several continuous thrusts, the wolf pack couldn’t withstand Xu Xin’s attacks. The wolves at the break of the electric grid were completely slaughtered. Meanwhile, Xu Xin absorbed a vast amount of life energy, and the bite wound on his shoulder from the snow leopard healed completely.
