Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 403: Chapter 302: Intense Battle, Beast Horde Retreats!

What worried Xu Xin the most were those three snow leopards.

Mimi, you know, is the largest among the cheetahs, possessing the bloodline of a giant beast. Despite this, each of these three snow leopards is roughly the same size as Mimi.

Of course, there is a species difference here, as snow leopards are inherently much stronger than cheetahs.

Aside from being slower, snow leopards surpass cheetahs in body size, weight, strength, and biting power.

Moreover, cheetahs usually prey on creatures similar or smaller than themselves, but snow leopards can hunt prey three times their own weight.

Snow leopards naturally have the skills to fight and kill prey, while cheetah hunting usually relies on speed, a deadly ambush, with little direct combat.

One is a predatory beast from the leopard subfamily, and the other is a big cat from the feline subfamily. Even on Earth, their weight isn’t vastly different, but if faced head-on, their fighting ability is not on the same level.

Cheetahs, after all, are the oppressed of the savanna; in terms of fighting ability, they are still somewhat lacking. Of course, Mimi, with the giant beast bloodline, naturally transcends this category.

Therefore, Xu Xin is very wary of these three snow leopards. Although their speed is certainly not up to Mimi’s level, in terms of combating ability, they might not be weaker than Mimi, and could very well be stronger!

Standing within the electric grid, Xu Xin has already locked onto the positions of these five mid-tier mutant creatures.

One snow leopard darted out from the pack first, with its sudden burst of speed outpacing the vines.

It swung its leopard paw, fiercely clawing at the electric grid.

”Zzzzap!”

The grid exploded with a burst of electrical light, and the snow leopard clawing it let out a strange scream, recoiling violently backward several meters, then staggered with an unsteady gait.

Xu Xin could see, its terrifying claws strengthened by its mid-tier mutant creature status, already scorched black by the electricity, even steaming in the icy snow.

He could even smell a hint of cooked meat in the air.

Indeed, this electric grid can stop mid-tier mutant creatures!

At this moment, the ground cracked open, and the plant heart lying in wait finally made a move, with three vines piercing out of the ground, directly attacking the snow leopard disabled by the electrical shock.

The snow leopard barely dodged the first and second vine, but the third was driven directly into its body, eliciting a miserable howl, its paw swinging to slice through the vine.

However, countless vines continued attacking the incapacitated and severely injured mutant snow leopard.

The other four dashed out of the beast pack wanting to help, but were too late.

The snow leopard, stiffened all over from the electrical charge, was already pierced from all directions by more than ten vines, one drove straight into its eye socket!

[Killed a contaminated mutant snow leopard, earned 150 points.]

Just now a mutant snow leopard he had been so cautious of was effortlessly slain!

However, the strike from the mutant snow leopard was also exceedingly powerful, leaving the iron wires of the electric grid torn and jagged, with an opening large enough for a person to pass through sideways.

Xu Xin wasn’t concerned, merely squinting his eyes, watching the other four mid-tier mutant creatures outside the electric grid.

They stopped all movements the moment the first snow leopard was slain, their actions highly coordinated, halting uniformly in front of the electric grid.

The ground cracked, vines emerged, and they began to wrestle with the vines. Although the vines could restrain them, they could not overpower them.

Beside him, the coal power generator suddenly roared to life.

Once the battery is fully charged, the coal engine stops generating power. Its auto-start now indicates that the earlier electrical discharge consumed a large amount of power.

Meanwhile, the iron wire mesh which had flipped inward started to gradually revert, with the engine’s roar.

Xu Xin knew, when he had punched and deformed it last time, that this high-voltage grid could repair itself after damage, although the restoration consumes electrical energy.

Seizing the moment of non-attack by the mid-tier mutant creatures, Xu Xin filled the coal into the generator, enhancing its power output to the maximum.

At this moment, a snow leopard dodged a vine’s thrust and lash, kicked with its rear legs, leaping up on the spot, its robust build exceptionally agile, vaulting over the three meters tall high-voltage grid!

In the moment before landing, the ground vines darted out, launching a thrust attack against the snow leopard still in mid-air.

The snow leopard swung its paw instantly to shatter the attacking vine, safely landing on the ground.

As expected, they can leap over!

He knew the mutant creatures like snow leopards wouldn’t be stopped by a three-meter electric grid!

”Mimi, go!”

Already bristling with fury and unable to hold back, Mimi suddenly charged, roaring wildly, claws swinging with a flash of silver towards the snow leopard.

The snow leopard, unyielding, growled back, facing off Mimi head-on.

The battle among the feline predators was about to erupt!

Fortunately, snow wolves and snow foxes do not possess this strong jumping ability.

At this moment, the Snow Wolf King outside suddenly raised its head and howled!

”Awooo—”

Countless snow wolves within the approaching beast pack seemed to hear the call, ignoring the surrounding vines, crazily rushing towards the electric grid.

While many snow wolves perished in the vine attacks as a result, some sacrificed themselves to break through the defensive line, launching an assault on the electric grid!
