Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 424: Chapter 311: Lou Fei’Er, Promoted to Intermediate Level!

This heart, there will definitely be opportunities to obtain it in the future, so let’s give this one to Lou Fei’Er first and let her try it out.

She is currently troubled by the influence on her consciousness. Indeed, she is the one who most needs to control her consciousness right now, having lost control countless times before.

Moreover, the task Xu Xin wants to entrust to her is to go outside and bring other survivors back to their territory. If her consciousness remains unstable, he won’t dare to entrust this task to her.

After all, it concerns the lives of survivors and the future development of their team.

”Okay, I’ll head over right away.” Lou Fei’Er agreed obediently without asking what was going on.

Her current state of mind is very unstable.

She is still very worried about her future situation. Additionally, having signed a contract with Xu Xin, whenever she is away from him, a sense of anxiety and uneasiness creeps in, intensifying her distress.

In these few hours, she truly couldn’t get anything done.

She wanted to return to find Xu Xin, but knowing Li Wenxi was still inside Xu Xin’s treehouse, the two of them alone, it didn’t feel appropriate to go there, and without a reason, she could only give up.

So, when Xu Xin asked her to come over, she immediately agreed without asking about the situation.

Soon, Lou Fei’Er arrived at Xu Xin’s treehouse, standing in front of him.

Looking at the contract owner sitting on the sofa, her originally restless heart gradually calmed down.

Indeed, being by his side helps her calm down.

No wonder the Silver King Mimi and others always stay with Xu Xin, even if they can’t freely enter and exit the treehouse, they’ve never shown any complaints.

Xu Xin handed her the snow leopard’s heart: ”This is a resource I just decomposed. Take a look yourself.”

Lou Fei’Er took the heart and, upon seeing the introduction, her eyes immediately widened in surprise.

Her lips trembled slightly: ”This... This...!”

This item seems to perfectly resolve her current problems!

Putting aside the matter of enhancing her strength, the ability to completely control her own consciousness is the one she needs most right now!

Her main concern now is her brain, which can turn into a muddle at any time!

Without a calm mind, she can’t even showcase her most prized acting skills!

Lou Fei’Er, not minding the dirt, tightly hugged the heart, her eyes wide as she looked at Xu Xin: ”Is this for me? It’s for me, right!”

Xu Xin glanced at her, intending to tease her a bit, and smiled: ”This is a purple-level resource, I never said I’d give it to you, just showed it to you. How is it, does this item help with your current situation?”

Lou Fei’Er’s eyes flickered, and her face immediately showed a very disappointed expression. She glanced at the heart in her arms and nodded with difficulty: ”It really helps me a lot...”

”Well then...”

Xu Xin planned to stop teasing her, but just as he was about to tell her the item was indeed for her, Lou Fei’Er suddenly bent her knees and knelt down.

Yes, she suddenly kneeled before him, leaving Xu Xin momentarily stunned.

This woman had never knelt even when threatened with death before.

Lou Fei’Er, holding the heart, knelt in front of Xu Xin, her voice trembling: ”Master, please give me this heart, it’s really important to me, I’m about to be driven insane. I promise, I’ll definitely bring you much more rewards than this heart in the future! Please give it to me!”

Lou Fei’Er’s eyes were misty, and she looked at Xu Xin with a pleading gaze, her hands clinging tightly to the heart.

”...Just get up.”

A beautiful woman kneeling before him, Xu Xin’s heart couldn’t handle it. He immediately stood up, wanting to help Lou Fei’Er up.

But Lou Fei’Er remained kneeling stubbornly, clutching the heart and looking at him.

”Alright, alright, it’s yours.” Xu Xin said, speechless.

This item was meant for her all along; he just teased her, and she ended up kneeling.

”Really?” Tears filled Lou Fei’Er’s eyes as she looked at him.

”Really, go ahead and stand up.”

”You won’t go back on your word?” Lou Fei’Er continued to ask.

”I won’t go back on my word... hmm?” Xu Xin suddenly looked at Lou Fei’Er suspiciously; could it be...

Lou Fei’Er’s expression changed instantly, the pitiful look vanished, replaced by immense excitement.

She jumped up from the ground, heart in her left hand, making a victory gesture with her right, excitedly shouting: ”Yay, this heart is mine! Yay!”

Xu Xin instantly felt his head pound with disbelief: ”...”

Goodness gracious, this girl has behaved so well that he almost forgot her somewhat troublesome personality.

Is this another instance of her tricking him with her acting skills?

Seeing Xu Xin’s expression, Lou Fei’Er shivered, stepped back holding the heart, and cautiously said: ”You just said you wouldn’t go back on your word; you can’t go back on it.”

Being fooled by her acting again made Xu Xin slightly annoyed; he raised his left hand: ”You can have the item, but you tricked me, so I plan to punish you by confining you to the bracelet.”

Lou Fei’Er’s body trembled, showing a look of genuine terror. This time she was truly scared.

But for the heart, she gritted her teeth and closed her eyes tightly: ”Do it! As long as you give me the heart, even being confined for a few days, I...”

As she continued, her voice trembled, as she imagined the maddening scenes inside the bracelet, her body weakened, and she knelt down, eyes still tightly closed, waiting for Xu Xin to confine her.

Xu Xin shook his head helplessly: ”Alright, this won’t happen again, stand up.”

As soon as Lou Fei’Er heard Xu Xin say this, she immediately stood up quickly, her eyes gleaming: ”Did you really give it to me!”

Xu Xin glanced at her and scoffed: ”This heart was meant for you in the first place; before I finished speaking, you knelt without hesitation. Well, your attitude of submission was quite good, I’ll forgive you. Remember in the future, when communicating with me, maintain this attitude; kneeling down seems to improve the manner significantly.”

Lou Fei’Er was immediately dumbfounded: ”Huh? It was originally for me?”

”What do you think? Did I call you here just to let you take a look? Am I that idle?”

”This...” Lou Fei’Er’s cheeks instantly flushed red.

Thinking of how she had just kneeled and begged so humbly, then realizing the heart was originally meant for her, and she could have gotten it without kneeling, she now just wanted to find a hole to crawl into.

She also remembered when she first met Xu Xin, how she acted like a clown playing the role of the weak and was seen through, making her feel even more ashamed.

In front of this guy, her acting skills seem to have never succeeded.

So embarrassing!

However, it’s quite normal for a slave to kneel to their master, so it’s not too embarrassing, right? Besides, this is a purple-class ingredient, kneeling to get it is totally worth it!

Luckily, there were no other people around...

No, although there were no people, there were beasts!

She turned her head to see Keke, Silver King, Mimi, Afu, and the Snow Wolf all watching her, and her face turned another shade of red.

The Silver King and the others had focused entirely on the heart the moment Xu Xin took it out.

As described in the introduction of the heart, it holds deadly allure for both ordinary beasts and mutant creatures, and Silver King Mimi was no exception.

”Alright,” Xu Xin lifted his chin and pointed at the kitchen, ”go cook it yourself and then eat it, I still need to see the effects on you after eating... Forget it, go to your treehouse.”

He saw that the few beasts around were already watching them intently and decided not to let Lou Fei’Er cook in the treehouse.

Otherwise, the aroma would drift out, and they might not be able to resist.

Arriving at Lou Fei’Er’s treehouse, she quickly and simply cooked the heart.

”Um, can I eat it now?” Lou Fei’Er stared at the heart dish in front of her, her eyes glazed over.

She could also feel the extreme allure of the heart; once cooked, the flavor became even more irresistible. She just couldn’t stand it, waiting for Xu Xin to give the word to indulge.

Not to mention her, even the aroma made Xu Xin swallow involuntarily.

However, he couldn’t eat it, as to him, it was poison.

”Eat.”

As soon as Xu Xin spoke, Lou Fei’Er started devouring it like a stray cat that hadn’t eaten for a long time, without a care for her image.

”Mmm... so delicious... I’ve never... mm... eaten anything this good in my life!”

She even tossed her chopsticks halfway through and started eating with her hands.

Soon, the whole heart was devoured into her belly.

She leaned back in her chair, touching her belly, a blissful smile on her face: ”Indeed, in any world, being full is the greatest happiness...”

Xu Xin crossed his arms over his chest and asked, ”How do you feel now?”

”Hmm...” Lou Fei’Er tilted her head, ”My body feels hot, a warm current is flowing inside me...”

Under Xu Xin’s gaze, her eyes were very clear, but sweat had already started to appear on her forehead.

”So hot...” She reached to unfasten the buckle on her chest, revealing half of a round shape, but it wasn’t pure white, it was covered with blood patterns, which were gradually lighting up.

Blood patterns also began to climb onto her face.

Xu Xin squinted at her: ”How do you feel now? Is your consciousness still clear?”

Lou Fei’Er was so hot she wanted to take off her clothes but stopped her actions thinking Xu Xin was still in front of her.

She had already been half-naked when she first met Xu Xin, so she didn’t care whether Xu Xin saw her or not, she was already his, and it didn’t matter if he did anything.

But thinking Li Wenxi would care, it felt inappropriate, so she stopped.

”Still very clear-minded, although my body is extremely hot,” Lou Fei’Er’s voice was calm, contrary to her sweaty face and flushed cheeks.

It seems that having complete control over one’s consciousness is indeed a good ability.

Xu Xin didn’t leave, intending to witness the whole process.

The blood patterns on Lou Fei’Er’s face and chest continued to glow red, similar to what happened when Silver King Mimi evolved before.

However, this time, the red light didn’t give Xu Xin the sense of something trying to burst out from under his scalp, probably because Lou Fei’Er’s clothes blocked most of it and his spiritual power was much stronger now, so he wasn’t as affected.

This scene didn’t last long, probably about ten minutes, during which Lou Fei’Er sat in the chair, though frowning and clenching her fists, covered in fragrant sweat, and her leather armor completely soaked, she still controlled herself to sit still in the chair.

Suddenly, the red glow on her body intensified, her eyes flashed with a scarlet brilliance, and she let out a low moan involuntarily, then the red glow quickly dissipated, and everything returned to calm.

Lou Fei’Er sat in the chair panting heavily, sweat still dripping down her cheeks.

”Is it over?” Xu Xin asked.

On the map, Lou Fei’Er’s green light point was almost on par with Silver King Mimi’s, she was now a solid mid-level mutant creature.

If she enters burst mode, her strength...

Lou Fei’Er nodded, raised her face, her blood patterns had receded, returning to normal: ”Yes, I feel full of power now, and... my mind is very clear! Since the mutation, I’ve never been this clear!”

A look of joy appeared on her face.

Finally, finally rid of the defect of losing control at any moment!

She even felt she had never been this clear-minded even before the mutation!
