Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 437: Chapter 317: Snow Wolves Walking on Snow

Back at the treehouse, Xu Xin called Lou Fei’Er out, and had her bring the Snow Wolf King Axue as well.

Probably because both had signed contracts with Xu Xin, Axue and Lou Fei’Er didn’t need any time to bond; they were already very close.

”You mean Axue can walk on snow?” Lou Fei’Er was a bit surprised, ”Is that possible? Such a big beast?”

”Awoo!” Lou Fei’Er’s doubt made Axue a bit displeased, it tugged her sleeve with its mouth and then ran towards the area covered by snow.

At this moment, the snow was falling heavier and heavier, under the bright moonlight and a sky full of stars, countless snowflakes were tilting and slowly drifting down in the breeze, covering the once messy ground with a thin layer of white snow, making it neat and clean.

Xu Xin was amazed to find that even stepping on the thin snow, the snow wolf left no footprints.

Walking on snow without a trace!

Then, Lou Fei’Er suddenly came over, looking up slightly at him, ”Master... look, the points exchange store has new items available now, um, can I, like...”

Her slightly red cheeks from the cold wind, along with her bashful expression and tone, exuded a youthful charm.

Xu Xin glanced at her: ”Speak properly.”

Lou Fei’Er stuck out her tongue, immediately returned to her original demeanor, straightened her posture: ”My master, can you give me some points now? There are so many new items in the points store, but all my points are with you, I’m penniless and can’t buy anything! Have pity on me please...”

She originally felt like, whatever, the items in the points store weren’t significant, no points then no points. But this time, there’s ski gear, new clothes, and it made her really envious.

But looking at her own pitiful, single-digit points left before being captured, she realized she couldn’t earn any more points now, and it truly made her feel miserable.

However, just now Li Wenxi mentioned something in [Explorer], that points could be directly exchanged between the parasitic treehouse and the main treehouse, and she immediately felt hopeful again.

Though the financial power wasn’t in her hands, she could ask for money!

”...What do you want? If it’s not a limited item, I’ll buy it for you. I get a 30% discount.”

”Ah...” Lou Fei’Er raised her eyebrows, ”You’ll buy things like underwear for me too? If Wenxi doesn’t mind, I don’t care either. And don’t underestimate me, I also have a 20% discount.”

Xu Xin gave her a look: ”Does the treehouse here also have a 20% discount?”

Lou Fei’Er nodded: ”Yes, this 20% off points store reward seems to follow the survivor themselves, unlike the watch which is bound to the treehouse.”

At a 20% discount, it is acceptable.

”I’ll transfer 2000 points to you when we get back.”

Buying a few pieces of clothing won’t cost much; every time Lou Fei’Er wants to buy something, she can’t keep coming to him. That’s too troublesome, better give her some points.

”Yay!” Lou Fei’Er clenched her fists, then looked at Xu Xin, pointing at the scarf around his neck, ”Where did you get that scarf? I just browsed the store, but didn’t see it. It’s so pretty, I want to buy one too.”

Pretty...

Yes, pure white, like snow, the fluffy fur really looks nice, and it’s soft and comfortable.

”This is a blue-grade scarf made from snow fox tails, it’s cold-resistant, speaking of which...” Xu Xin turned to look at Lou Fei’Er, she was still wearing her thin leather armor set, walking in the cold wind and snowflakes, ”Aren’t you cold?”

”Not cold at all.” Lou Fei’Er shook her head very casually, ”Uh... a little cold, but it’s like when the air conditioning is set low? It’s okay. If it’s cold-resistant gear, then I don’t want it, give it to someone else.”

Now the temperature has dropped to below minus twenty degrees, at this temperature, Lou Fei’Er wearing her blue-grade leather armor didn’t seem to have any issues.

Last time she went out, she said the colder it gets, the calmer she becomes, and the better she can exert her strength.

The mutated creature that died in his house was also like this, despite being buried in snow, with a ferocious expression, its body showed no signs of being frozen.

...Apparently, the physique of mutated creatures and humans really is different.

However, now she feels a slight chill, so surely she can’t withstand minus fifty degrees temperatures, but the snow fox scarf can.

He hasn’t dissected those bodies yet, though they’re just some low-level mutated creature bodies, there’s strength in numbers, and there are many snow foxes among them, certainly some blue-grade snow fox tails can be obtained.

Might as well give her one too, Xu Xin is counting on her to go out and bring survivors back.

Soon, the two humans and beast reached the edge of the snow layer.

”Awoo!” The snow wolf shouted at Lou Fei’Er, then lay down, signaling her to mount.

Lou Fei’Er very smoothly climbed onto the wolf’s back.

Once she was seated firmly, the snow wolf stood up, then with a nimble leap, stood effortlessly on the snow layer which had gotten even thicker.

”It really doesn’t sink in!” Lou Fei’Er said in surprise, ”You’re amazing, Axue!”

”Ao!” Axue lifted its wolf head, kicked off with its feet, and carried Lou Fei’Er into the forest.

”Wow, slow down, slow down Axue, watch out for the trees! Won’t you slip?!?” Lou Fei’Er’s slightly panicked voice called out from the forest covered in thick snow.
