Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 898: Chapter 563: New Blueprint for Her Career (Part 3)

As soon as they stepped out, they were bombarded by paparazzi waiting at the door.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi felt a bit helpless.

Zhou Lan and others helped fend off the paparazzi, escorting Zhou Yun and Song Chi into the car.

Zhou Lan said, ”Xiao Yun, don’t forget, we have to go to the company together tomorrow to meet with He Yong.”

Zhou Yun nodded, agreeing.

The next steps for continued collaboration, He Yong’s side finally had new developments.

If it drags on any longer, it would push up against Zhou Yun’s contract expiration with Chengqian Entertainment.

Of course, He Yong wouldn’t want this situation to occur.

Song Chi had to return to the set to shoot a film, and early the next morning, he hurriedly departed.

Zhou Yun accompanied him for breakfast, then took another short nap, got up at nine, tidied herself briefly, and went downstairs.

She drove herself to Chengqian Entertainment, took the internal elevator, and arrived at the floor where He Yong’s office was located.

He Yong’s secretary saw her coming, immediately stood up with a charming smile, and said, ”Miss Zhou, you’re here, President He and Director Zhou are waiting for you inside.”

Director Zhou, Zhou Lan.

In the past two years, Zhou Lan had continuously been promoted within the company.

Zhou Yun smiled at the person, thanked them, and walked into the office.

Once she was inside and the door was closed, He Yong’s secretary let out a small scream.

She exchanged a look with the second secretary nearby.

”So beautiful.”

The second secretary said, ”Don’t you think she’s even more beautiful now? There’s a saying that success nurtures beauty, and it’s really true for Zhou Yun. You can’t even imagine that three years ago she was an unknown nobody.”

”You better stop saying that.”

The two of them shared a few laughs.

About two hours later, Zhou Yun and Zhou Lan came out of He Yong’s office with satisfied smiles.

He Yong came out with them.

”Let’s have lunch together,” He Yong said, ”I’ve already booked a table.”

Today’s negotiation went very smoothly, so Zhou Yun and Zhou Lan were happy to oblige He Yong.

In today’s negotiation, both parties reached a preliminary consensus. After Zhou Yun’s contract expires, she and Zhou Lan will establish a studio, with Chengqian Entertainment continuing the collaboration by investing in shares. Of course, the collaboration isn’t just that straightforward. Chengqian Entertainment will continue to provide Zhou Yun with PR, promotions, business liaisons, and various services. Zhou Yun, in return, needs to lead Chengqian Entertainment’s signed actors in one supporting role project each year or two second-tier supporting role projects.

This was nothing for Zhou Yun, as Yuk Chu, Lu Zhongting, and Huang Zicheng were still under contract with Chengqian Entertainment. Chengqian Entertainment didn’t specify which actor Zhou Yun needed to work with; it was entirely up to Zhou Yun.

Besides this, Zhou Yun will also receive shares from Chengqian Entertainment—not for free, of course, but for Zhou Yun, it was quite a lucrative deal. Chengqian Group showed a lot of sincerity in keeping Zhou Yun in the fold. Once Zhou Yun holds shares, her status will undergo a significant transformation; she will no longer be a contracted artist, but a partner. In other words, in the eyes of others, she’s the boss now. Similarly, the better Chengqian Entertainment performs, the more profits Zhou Yun will earn.

Chengqian Entertainment hopes to bring more resources back to them through this opportunity with Zhou Yun.

The three of them sat down in the restaurant.

He Yong smiled and said, ”If another actress had taken the Lingjun Award for Best Actress yesterday and was sitting here today, they couldn’t contain their excitement and happiness. But you seem as if you didn’t win the Lingjun Award yesterday and simply had a skewer on the roadside. I’ve often wondered, Xiao Yun, are you like someone from those time-travel novels, did you come from the past? Otherwise, how do you have such maturity at your age, and your choice of projects is always spot on, both critically acclaimed and popular.”

Zhou Yun asked, ”President He, are you serious? Me, time traveling?”

”Ha ha.” He Yong waved his hand, ”Just joking, but your choices are just so accurate. Do you know how many people ask me about your upcoming projects? Any project you’re involved in, people take a second look at. Everyone almost 100% believes in your judgment. Productions you choose, those backed by platforms, or eagerly awaited by cinemas, turn into hits in no time. You managed to sell artsy films like ’Life’ and ’Behind the Scenes’ for billions at the box office, making you a legend in the eyes of many in the industry.”
