Chapter 895: Chapter 562: The Final Award (7)

Zhou Yun said thank you.

Windsor, holding Zhou Yun’s hand, said, ”You have no idea, when I was watching the award ceremony live, I was so nervous, my heart was racing. Even though I knew you would definitely win the award, I was still anxious and excited for you!”

Zhou Yun thought to herself, I don’t even know for sure that I’d win the award, you’re exaggerating.

”But, this time the jury is really something, they actually gave out a tie. Let me tell you, Yin Lin really can’t compare with you.”

Zhou Yun quickly denied, ”Don’t, don’t say that, Sister Lin acted very well, she deserved the award.”

She wanted to quickly get away from Windsor, afraid he might say something more shocking.

But Windsor kept holding Zhou Yun’s hand, chatting nonstop.

Zhou Yun couldn’t just push him away; after all, he was Wen Bing’s boyfriend.

Zhou Yun didn’t want unnecessary troubles.

If a fallout with Windsor affected her later collaboration with Wen Bing, Zhou Yun felt it would be too costly.

Not worth it.

Luckily, Yao Yuanfeng soon arrived.

He still exaggeratedly congratulated Zhou Yun, loudly saying, ”When did our Movie Queen arrive? Why didn’t anyone tell me? Congratulations, congratulations, remarkable! You snagged the Aoki, the Lingjun, and the last Feijing Award is within reach this year!”

Zhou Yun smiled and said, ”Then let’s hope ’Female Assassin’ can bring me a Feijing Award.”

”Haha, I’ll try my best,” Yao Yuanfeng said.

He suddenly whispered in Zhou Yun’s ear, ”I heard you’re negotiating a Hollywood film?”

Zhou Yun thought he meant the Chinese Warrior.

”Oh no, I’ve long denied it, I won’t be starring in that Chinese Warrior themed movie,” Zhou Yun replied.

Yao Yuanfeng gave Zhou Yun a look, ”Still keeping it from me? I’ve heard whispers, you’re in talks with Mélando for a new film, right?”

Zhou Yun was taken aback.

She hadn’t expected Yao Yuanfeng to hear about this.

Understandably, she had kept this news confidential to prevent any information leaks before the contract was signed.

Just fearing someone might catch wind and interfere.

How did Yao Yuanfeng know?

Yao Yuanfeng chuckled and said, ”I’d had previous collaborations with Mélando, even invested in their movies. It’s not surprising I caught wind of this, but you’re really tight-lipped. If it weren’t for my close cooperation and planned investment in this film, I wouldn’t have heard a thing.”

”It was only recently that we began discussions,” Zhou Yun said.

”No need to explain, I know why you’re keeping it secret,” Yao Yuanfeng said, ”But once your participation is confirmed, I can confidently invest.”

”Don’t invest just because I’m starring, this is my first collaboration with them. Who knows how it’ll turn out; Hollywood makes its share of bad films too.”

”You’re the lead, the main lead, I know,” Yao Yuanfeng said, ”For this alone, I must support it. Having a Chinese as the lead in a Hollywood A-list film, not with an Asian background either, carries historical significance.”

Zhou Yun hadn’t expected a businessman like Yao Yuanfeng to say such things.

”I’ll help you keep this secret too.”

Yao Yuanfeng winked at her.

Zhou Yun was really hungry.

She left Yao Yuanfeng, wanting to find something to eat, but kept getting stopped by people.

At this point, Song Chi came over with a plate of snacks, handing it to her, and said, ”You must be hungry, right? Have some, fill your stomach, and later when we get home, I’ll make some congee for you.”

Zhou Yun laughed and asked, ”How did you know I was hungry? We’re so in sync.”

Song Chi: ”If I didn’t know, what kind of boyfriend am I?”
