Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 888: Chapter 561: Compatibility or Not

After Wang Jing left the stage, he didn’t return to the audience seats directly but went to the backstage media room to accept an interview.

Zhou Yun’s excitement slightly calmed down.

Song Chi smiled and said, ”You’re even more excited than the person involved.”

Zhou Yun said, ”That’s quite normal.”

”Later when they announce the Best Actress award, you’ll definitely be more nervous than I am,” Zhou Yun said to Song Chi.

Song Chi smiled.

People are probably like this, sometimes caring more about things concerning someone they care about than their own matters.

Afraid of issues, afraid of disappointment, afraid of wanting but not getting.

Zhou Yun said, ”But, to be honest, maybe my feelings will change when the award is announced, but right now I truly don’t yearn for this award that much. I also find it strange; thinking like this is actually not normal, right?”

She showed Song Chi a helpless smile.

”I even feel that winning the award would be a burden now.”

Song Chi didn’t say anything to show he didn’t understand.

”I know, you’re too tired now.”

”Yeah.”

”Everyone around is looking at you with the Movie Queen’s gaze, and when they talk to you, their tone and manner are different from usual. Yes, you are the Movie Queen, you are destined to be different from others, you have to be better than others.” Song Chi said softly, ”They don’t feel there’s anything wrong with doing so. In fact, objectively, there’s indeed nothing wrong; however, when everyone’s attitude changes like this, an invisible pressure looms over you, surrounding you from all sides of life and work, and you feel there’s nowhere to escape.”

Zhou Yun looked at Song Chi in surprise.

She hadn’t expected that he understood.

Song Chi said, ”If I say I’ve been through what you’re experiencing now, would I sound pretentious?”

Zhou Yun shook her head, ”You having similar experiences makes me feel a bit better.”

”Is it sympathy for similar struggles?”

”No, it’s feeling relieved that my feelings aren’t uniquely mine,” Zhou Yun said. ”So when you say you’ve also had similar experiences, I feel comforted, I’m not alone.”

Song Chi kept his smile, glanced at Zhou Yun, lowered his gaze, and reached over to hold Zhou Yun’s hand.

”If later there’s no one you can share these feelings with, feel free to find me,” Song Chi said, ”No matter what, we’re in the same profession, and many situations that others can’t understand, you can talk to me about.”

”Yeah.”

”I’ve always felt that we’re both so busy, and I worry if under situations where we have more separation than togetherness, we’ll slowly head towards breaking up,” Song Chi said, ”But up to now, fortunately, the situations I’ve worried about haven’t occurred.”

”I have full confidence in you.”

”I love you.”

The two exchanged a glance and simultaneously smiled with pursed lips.

Wen Bing was sitting beside them; although he didn’t want to listen (of course, it’s impossible not to), he heard their entire conversation.

He suddenly felt Zhou Yun and Song Chi were indeed suitable for each other.

He thought of himself and Windsor.

Two people together, dating, always starts sweet, but it’s hard to end with the same sweetness.

After being with Windsor for a long time, he discovered that Windsor was completely different from when he first met her.

When they first met, she was gentle, understanding, had her little temper, and never relied on him.

He liked her that way.

But ever since Windsor left the law firm and joined his filming team to handle some coordination work, she gradually changed.

Several people subtly hinted to him in conversation that Windsor’s personality is prone to being extreme, she also has a somewhat superior attitude, hard to cooperate with, and would challenge others if there’s a disagreement, questioning if they looked down on her.

Wen Bing initially felt it was because Windsor was sensitive due to her thin face and strong self-esteem, trying something unfamiliar.

But this situation didn’t lessen as Windsor became more familiar with her work; on the contrary, it intensified. Windsor became more dissatisfied with the things she managed, reaching out to a broader scope that wasn’t hers. Because she was related to him, other leaders found it hard to directly oppose her, but conflicts grew larger and more numerous.

In recent times, due to these issues, Wen Bing and Windsor already had several major arguments, and this relationship brought him increasing pain.

Wen Bing started to regret why he let her leave the law firm to come work beside him.

Initially, it was to let her engage in work with more upward potential, but unexpectedly, it caused him so much trouble.

Therefore, Song Chi and Zhou Yun’s conversation touched him profoundly.

Compatible people have conversations that align, and their spirits move towards mutual care.

Incompatible people find that sweet feelings only lead to messy life, even feeling weary from arguing.

Wen Bing felt somewhat envious of them.
