Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 866: Chapter 550: Returning Home (2)

Zheng Xiaojue sat in the back and said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, Sister Lan said she’s departing too and will meet us at the airport.”

Zhou Lan is visiting Dickey today, meeting with the higher-ups in charge of film production.

Zhou Yun: ”Let’s get going.”

Zheng Xiaojue responded with a hum and told the driver, ”We can depart now.”

She said this to the driver in English.

It sounded like she was a bit embarrassed to speak.

Song Chi chimed in, ”Xiaoju’s English is pretty good!”

Zheng Xiaojue’s cheeks instantly turned slightly red, she hesitantly said, ”Not really.”

Zhou Yun: ”It’s getting better and better, she’s been studying really hard lately.”

Song Chi said, ”Your assistant is more diligent than mine. I asked him to learn English, and it’s been two years without learning.”

”You have to create opportunities for him to speak,” Zhou Yun said, ”Otherwise, he’ll never use it, so how could he learn?”

Song Chi: ”For these past two years, my work has mainly been in China, so there hasn’t been a chance.”

”Don’t you often have shoots and work overseas? Have him handle the foreign itinerary at those times,” Zhou Yun said, ”All these specific coordination tasks are Xiaoju’s responsibility.”

Song Chi looked at Zheng Xiaojue in surprise and said, ”So capable.”

”She certainly is.” Zhou Yun nodded proudly.

Zheng Xiaojue blushed from the praise and lowered her head shyly.

Arriving at the airport.

Zhou Yun got out of the car, picked up her two suitcases, and waited aside for Song Chi and Zheng Xiaojue.

Suddenly, someone ran up to her, excitedly asking, ”Are you Zhou Yun?”

The person was a girl who looked only fifteen or sixteen.

Zhou Yun smiled gently and nodded at her.

”You’re even prettier in person than on TV!”

Zhou Yun said thank you.

The girl asked, ”Was the person who entered your room caught?”

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”Not yet.”

The girl’s face immediately showed surprise, ”Huh?”

Zhou Yun smiled and said, ”Are you flying alone?”

”No, I’m with my dad.” The girl turned to look back and pointed at a man standing ahead on the phone, saying, ”He’s over there.”

Zhou Yun glanced.

The man was wearing jeans and a shirt, carrying a messenger bag, with a suitcase placed beside him.

”Where are you headed?”

”Back to New York,” the girl said, ”Oh right, I haven’t told you my name yet, I’m Luna.”

”Hello, Luna.” Zhou Yun smiled and called her by name.

Clearly, the girl named Luna was very pleased, and she smiled happily.

”I’ll head in first,” Zhou Yun said to Luna, ”Bye.”

Luna nodded.

”Bye.”

Finished with check-in and security.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi talked about the unpleasantness with Qiao Anshan at the Behind the Scenes screening.

Song Chi listened and said, ”Qiao Anshan is just like that, but there’s no need to bother with him. His development here in Hollywood is just okay. Now he’s looking for opportunities back home, but the era of foreign celebrities being superior has passed. Big productions won’t consider him; everyone has to think about the home market. Someone like him, aiming high for leading roles, will have to do web dramas unless he’s out of luck in Hollywood.”

Zhou Yun asked, ”Do you think Qiao Anshan will act in web dramas?”

”If he’s out of options in Hollywood, he’ll probably act in them. Right now, I guess he thinks web dramas are too low,” Song Chi said.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi were mid-conversation.

Zhou Lan arrived.

She hurriedly came over, her eyes bright like light bulbs, her face filled with the joy and excitement of bringing good news.

Zhou Yun saw her and asked, ”Sister Lan, is there good news you want to share today?”

Zhou Lan said, ”Dickey wants to produce a drama set in ancient China and is secretly casting actors. I spoke with them today, and they hinted at it to me. I know you might not be interested, but they plan to cast a full line-up of newcomers. I’ve given them the profiles of Huang Zicheng and Lu Zhongting, and they’re willing to offer them an audition.”

Zhou Yun was a bit surprised.

”A full newcomer cast? In leading roles?”

Zhou Lan nodded and said, ”Yes, the specific genre and project are still confidential.”

”Why did they decide to tell you?” Zhou Yun asked curiously.

Zhou Lan said proudly, ”Because I visited under the guise of being the artist director of China’s largest actor management company.”
