Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 891: Chapter 562: The Final Award (Part 3)

If she were the winner, Song Chi shouldn’t have shown such a surprised expression.

Who would it be?

Is it Cheng Rina or Yin Lin?

Song Chi opened his mouth: ”The winner of this Lingjun Award for Best Actress is Yin Lin, ’Bad Woman’!”

Sounds of congratulations came from those around Yin Lin’s seated area.

Thunderous applause erupted.

Zhou Yun turned and joined everyone in looking at Yin Lin, sincerely applauding for her.

”And—” Song Chi’s voice suddenly rang out again.

Everyone was taken aback, even Yin Lin, who was already filled with excitement, looked back at Song Chi standing on stage.

Song Chi smiled and said, ”Zhou Yun, ’Behind the Scenes’.”

The entire venue instantly burst into cheers!

Wen Bing was the first to stand up, smiling incredulously at Zhou Yun, saying, ”Tonight it’s a double win! Congratulations!”

Zhou Yun was stunned, somewhat at a loss and looked bewildered at Wen Bing.

Those around her turned to offer their congratulations.

These voices buzzed in her ears.

Wen Bing waved her hand in front of Zhou Yun and said, ”Wake up, you’ve won!”

Zhou Yun snapped back to reality, opened her mouth in amazement, and joy shot out from her eyes.

”Really?”

Joy, like ocean waves, surged from Zhou Yun’s heart.

An eruption.

Zhou Yun looked up at Song Chi.

Song Chi smiled at her, waved the envelope in his hand, as if saying he confirmed it, he wasn’t seeing things, there were indeed two winners written on it.

At that moment, Zhou Yun couldn’t help but cover her face with both hands.

Wen Bing stood beside her, smiling and applauding.

Yin Lin had already risen from her seat and was walking over.

From several meters away, she smiled and reached out her hand, making a gesture to hold hands.

Zhou Yun extended her hand, and together they exchanged a smile.

This outcome, Yin Lin probably hadn’t thought of either.

Yin Lin said to her, ”Come on, let’s go on stage to accept the award together.”

Zhou Yun covered her chest with her other hand, saying softly, ”What a surprise!”

Yin Lin nodded, ”Yes, it’s such a surprise, I wouldn’t dare to dream of such a thing.”

Double wins aren’t uncommon in the history of awards, the three major film festivals have even had more than double winners, but the probability of them happening is extremely low.

No winner dares to imagine this situation before truly facing it.

Zhou Yun and Yin Lin walked hand in hand onto the stage.

At the award ceremony, Zhou Yun and Yin Lin graciously offered the other to go first.

Since the presenter was Song Chi, Zhou Yun felt she had to be humble at this moment.

Yin Lin offered twice, then accepted.

After presenting the awards and congratulating them, Song Chi stepped aside and left the stage to them for their acceptance speeches.

Zhou Yun invited Yin Lin to speak first.

”This is a huge surprise,” Yin Lin remarked with her opening words, ”This is my first nomination for the Lingjun Award, and my first time winning the Best Actress trophy. If someone had told me a year ago that I would be standing on the Lingjun Award stage now, I would definitely have thought them a liar, it’s too impossible.”

”But, this movie ’Bad Woman’ turned the impossible into possible. Thank you to everyone who supported me, to those who saw me, chose me, and unwaveringly let me act in this film, thank you to Director Huang Wen. If it weren’t for you, I couldn’t have starred in this film. I’m sorry, because I’m not a very famous actor, you endured a lot of pressure. Fortunately, I didn’t disappoint.”

The audience applauded hearing this.

In the film industry, the ones who are noticed are always a few. There are many people, who also work hard every day, striving to do their best, but luck might not have yet come their way. Even if they stay up late or work hard, they haven’t encountered the play belonging to them.

Every truly successful person has gone through that stage of obscurity.

The words spoken by Yin Lin have been encountered by almost every actor.

Being not very famous means not being recognized by investors.

Not being a celebrity means that even if the acting is mature, there are still doubts about ”can you carry the box office”.

Film is art, but also an industry where money and profitability have to be discussed.

No actor dares to say they are a performance artist, so they don’t have to consider the issue of profitability.

A director daring to use an unknown actor has behind it a courage that only those who have truly experienced the difficulty and hesitation of decision-making understand what burden this action carries.
