Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 893: Chapter 562: The Final Award (Part 5)

...

This is an outcome that no one anticipated.

Many predicted that either Zhou Yun would strongly take the top spot, Cheng Rina would win with her qualifications and prestige, or Yin Lin would overpower Zhou Yun with the box office success and audience acclaim of ”Bad Woman.”

Who would have thought that the Lingjun Award would end up with a tie?

The acceptance speeches of Zhou Yun and Yin Lin quickly spread across major social media platforms.

Both Yin Lin’s perseverance and Zhou Yun’s ”I am worth it” sparked high levels of discussion online.

And shortly after their win, the Best Actor award was announced, with the winner being Liang Yuanpu, who starred with Yang Xi in ”He Mingfan.”

When Zhou Yun heard this news during the interview, it was from the reporters.

A reporter said, ”Xiao Yun, Liang Yuanpu, whom you collaborated with in a film, won an award. Do you have anything to say to him?”

She worked with Liang Yuanpu on the film ”Two Tigers,” but she only had a cameo role and didn’t collaborate much with Liang Yuanpu, so they weren’t very familiar with each other.

However, during their few days of collaboration, Liang Yuanpu left a very good impression on her as a dedicated and skilled actor.

”Congratulations to Teacher Liang,” Zhou Yun said with a smile, ”It seems ’Two Tigers’ is the biggest winner.”

”Yeah, does anyone know when ’Two Tigers’ will be released?” asked a reporter.

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”I haven’t heard any news yet.”

After the interview, Zhou Yun was returning to the venue and ran into Liang Yuanpu, who was heading to the interview room.

Liang Yuanpu saw her and was the first to offer congratulations.

Zhou Yun also smiled and said, ”Congratulations, Teacher Liang!”

Liang Yuanpu’s agent said, ”Teacher Liang, Xiao Yun, how about taking a photo together?”

Zhou Yun asked, ”Will it be posted on social media later? Shouldn’t we wait for Sister Lin to join us? She’s right behind me.”

After saying this, Zhou Yun looked back just in time to see Yin Lin and her team coming out of the interview room behind her.

”Sister Lin!” Zhou Yun waved her hand, ”Teacher Liang wants to take a photo with us!”

Yin Lin quickly approached and respectfully greeted Liang Yuanpu, ”Hello, Teacher Liang!”

Liang Yuanpu smiled modestly and said, ”Let’s take a photo together.”

”Sure.”

The three of them took a photo together in the hallway.

After Zhou Yun and Yin Lin left, Liang Yuanpu’s agent clicked his tongue and marveled, ”This Zhou Yun is really something. So young, and she’s won so many awards, yet she’s still so astute.”

When she suggested taking a photo together earlier, Zhou Yun’s first reaction was to include Yin Lin. The reason is simple: if Liang Yuanpu’s team posts the photo on social media, fueled by the buzz of tonight’s award ceremony, the photo would surely trend as the Movie King and Queen picture. If under that topic, Yin Lin isn’t in the photo, she’d likely feel upset.

Yin Lin wouldn’t know that the photo was just an impromptu capture of Zhou Yun and Liang Yuanpu meeting in the hallway. She would only know one thing: the photo didn’t include her.

Liang Yuanpu said, ”Even during our previous collaboration, she already exhibited a maturity beyond her age, which you’ve already witnessed.”

The agent said, ”Even though I’ve seen it before, it’s still unbelievable. How old is she? Twenty-four or twenty-five?”

”Young either way.”

”Yes.”

...

Zhou Yun had no idea that after she left, Liang Yuanpu and his agent were discussing her so much.

She returned to the venue and sat in her seat.

At this moment, the award ceremony was nearing its end.

On stage, the Best Director award was being presented.

Wen Bing and Xue Qin were both nominated for Best Director, but neither had a strong chance of winning.

As expected, the name announced by the presenter was not theirs, but Lu Xingxing, the director of ”He Mingfan.”

After the Best Director award was presented, it was time for the final grand prize, the Best Film award.

Both ”Life” and ”Behind the Scenes” were nominated for Best Film.

Zhou Yun didn’t know if the award would go to either of these films.

In fact, ”Behind the Scenes” might have a good chance, having won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, which is a highly prestigious international award.

However, the Best Film award went to a dark horse: ”Dusk.”

No one expected this outcome.

After all, even if ”Life” and ”Behind the Scenes” didn’t win, there were still ”He Mingfan” and ”Artist,” two very pure art films, in contention for the grand prize.
