Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 873: Chapter 554: More Scandals

Wan Lanlan woke up quite early the next day.

Ever since she had her daughter, she woke up early every morning.

There are many things to do, and if she wants to get to the office on time, she has to get up early and finish everything.

She’s used to listening to the news while she’s busy.

She’s subscribed to several public accounts and usually listens to them in audio mode.

This morning, Wan Lanlan heard a familiar name: Zhou Yun.

Hearing Zhou Yun’s name didn’t surprise her.

As a fashion editor for a fashion magazine, Wan Lanlan paid close attention to the entertainment industry.

Over the recent years, the hottest female celebrity, Zhou Yun claims second place, none claim first.

In several key dimensions, Zhou Yun is unbeatable, unmatched by anyone.

Wan Lanlan herself shared a good personal relationship with Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun offered her several exclusive interview opportunities.

To a fashion editor like her, a major Celebrity like Zhou Yun represents a very powerful networking asset.

There were many things that others couldn’t handle, but she could.

Wan Lanlan originally thought today’s news was just some boring gossip; she understood Zhou Yun’s personality and felt she knew her character, not thinking Zhou Yun could be exposed for anything shocking.

But the news content surprised Wan Lanlan a bit.

Because... it was a bit too fresh.

Zhou Yun posted on Weibo last night, self-revealing having dinner with a male friend, caught by paparazzi, so she volunteered to break the news herself.

The author of the post said, ”Zhou Yun’s style of action is quite unique in the entertainment industry. We rarely see Zhou Yun using official or cliché language to say correct but soulless things. Her Weibo last night was much the same; many celebrities would be caught by paparazzi, their reactions varied: some would laugh it off, or get upset, change faces and curse, even directly rant online or on Weibo, but Zhou Yun adopted a very rare approach, with a nonchalant and free attitude towards being photographed by paparazzi, even generously stating instead of letting paparazzi reveal this, she’d rather say it herself. If this happened to someone else, for the sake of minimizing or dismissing it, maybe they would adopt other means to suppress it, not letting paparazzi report it out, but for Zhou Yun, she’s open-minded and casual, not minding everyone knowing. I admire Zhou Yun’s openness, admire her ease, she truly exhibits the grace of a female celebrity; her every move is so free-spirited and charismatic, untouched by others, and every word and action draws attention, admiration, even imitation.”

Wan Lanlan felt very affirmed hearing this comment.

She forwarded the post to Zhou Yun.

She messaged Zhou Yun: Read a post about you this morning, it’s really well written.

...

Naturally, Zhou Yun didn’t wake up as early.

She opened her eyes at nine, yawned long, unplugged her phone, glanced through the messages, and saw Wan Lanlan’s among them.

Lazily lying on her bed, Zhou Yun read the post content and replied to Wan Lanlan: Exaggerated praise, I’m not that carefree, being carefree wouldn’t have me discussing this on Weibo, let them say whatever they want.

Wan Lanlan: Haha, just love this vibe of yours where you love to roast yourself.

Zhou Yun: Sister Lanlan, are you at work?

Wan Lanlan: Yeah, working away in my cubicle writing articles.

Zhou Yun: Must be tiresome, how’s your baby?

Wan Lanlan said: My family’s taking care of her.

Zhou Yun: When can I see the baby?

Wan Lanlan: Anytime.

Zhou Yun: How about today? I’m resting at home these days.

Wan Lanlan: You can actually rest at home? I thought you’re always busy running around.

Zhou Yun: Most times it’s like that, but I need to rest well occasionally, or else I’d collapse, usually too tired, filming or other work, constantly in front of cameras, a bit exhausted, even feel estranged when looking at myself in the mirror.

Wan Lanlan: You must not let yourself get trapped in such emotions for long, you know too, many Celebrities often end up with depression, it’s due to prolonged attention from everyone around, growing anxiety, and increasing inner pressure.

Zhou Yun: It probably wouldn’t come to that, I’m quite mindful of this.

Wan Lanlan: That’s good to hear, so how about tonight, you come to my house, I’ll cook dinner for you.

Zhou Yun asked: Will it be a bother? How about the weekend?

Wan Lanlan: No bother tonight, weekend I’ll be filming at the studio, no rest, same as always.

Zhou Yun: Alright then, I’ll come to your house tonight.

After getting up from bed, Zhou Yun went to freshen up.

As the morning passed, Zhou Yun spent peaceful times at home, while the Internet buzzed with activity.

Turns out last night, photos of Zhou Yun and Wei Heyun, taken by paparazzi, were spread online, alongside a rather blunt remark: Miss Zhou Yun says it’s just a male friend, but I’d like to ask Miss Zhou Yun, what kind of male friend requires a hotel meet-up.

A few photos were released.

The protagonists in the photos were all Zhou Yun and Wei Heyun, and the background was a hotel front door.

These photos instantly sparked a wave online.
