Berserk God of War

145: Chapter 145: Su Yue Immortal, Assassin’s Creed 145: Chapter 145: Su Yue Immortal, Assassin’s Creed Su Yue Immortal’s face kept changing, suddenly pointing at the Jade hairpin and asked, “And what about this?”

“Sister, this Jade hairpin should belong to grandma…”

Swiftly, Su Yuexi explained about the hairpin affair, and of course the true identity of father Su Zhenglong, before finally saying, “If sister wants it, I will definitely find a way to take it down and remove the ownership recognition.”

All of a sudden, Su Yue Immortal felt as if the whole world was spinning.

The people around seemed to be saying something, but she couldn’t take any of it in.

After a while, she looked up and smiled, “No need, since it also likes you, it’s yours…

I’m leaving.”

Having said that, she quickly disappeared within the courtyard, leaving a message behind, “If there is an afterlife, I will come and honor you again.”

“Yue Xian…”

Su Zhenglong and Su Yuexi screamed as they chased after her, but how could they possibly catch up to Su Yue Immortal’s Earth Realm Fourth Level speed.

Besides, being an assassin, Su Yue Immortal wasn’t someone ordinary martial artists of the same level could catch up to.

Mei Xiaofang was as anxious as ants on a hot pan, utterly disconcerted, looking towards Sikong Jing.

“Ajing, what should we do?”

“The task given to Yue Xian by that noble son was to kill one of our family members to prove her loyalty,”

“Now that she has not completed the task, she might commit suicide rather than return.”

The last sentence especially, “If there is an afterlife…” almost drove Mei Xiaofang to the edge; it was like saying goodbye forever.

Seeing his anxious mother-in-law, Sikong Jing quickly responded, “Mother-in-law, don’t worry, I’ll chase after her.”

Then, he caught up to Su Zhenglong and Su Yuexi, and said, “Yue Xi, Father-in-law, leave this matter to me.

You all should stay in the courtyard for now to avoid any further issues.”

With that, Sikong Jing disappeared from sight with his Beast Skill Flowing Cloud.

“Brother Jing, please be careful,” Su Yuexi called out as she watched Sikong Jing’s figure disappear, unable to contain her concern.

Back in the courtyard, Su Yuexi was still deeply worried, for Brother Jing was likely to face that noble son on this mission, and her sister could even be killed for failing to complete her task.

Even though Su Zhenglong had reached the Human Realm Peak, within the complex and intertwined powers of Yunzhou City, he was still just a low-level weakling.

Sikong Jing raced through the air, weaving and dodging among the buildings of Yunzhou City, his experience allowing him to discern Su Yue Immortal’s traces and aura.

In the blink of an eye, he arrived in the noble district of Yunzhou City.

This place was full of grand mansions, the dwelling of Yunzhou City’s affluent.

It wasn’t long before Sikong Jing caught sight of a shadowy figure.

He saw her dart into one of the lavish separate courtyards.

Even without a clear view, he knew it was Su Yue Immortal.

Sikong Jing slipped over the wall and into the courtyard, unseen, to stand in a dark corner.

“Looking at Su Yue Immortal’s determination, she is indeed resolved to kill the noble son,” Sikong Jing murmured to himself, a wry smile on his lips.

He hadn’t been able to catch Su Yue Immortal outside the mansion, and now he had to take a risk.

Sikong Jing’s original plan had been to install an army of a hundred thousand, then eliminate the noble son, but he hadn’t gone far with Mo Yang when Su Yue Immortal appeared, having even accepted a deadly mission from the noble son.

Gazing at the central hall of the separate courtyard with its dazzling lights, it seemed that some kind of banquet was in progress.

Taking a deep breath, Sikong Jing clung to the darkness of the walls and slipped inside.

Just as he neared the central hall of the separate courtyard, Sikong Jing halted in a shadowy spot beside a rockery.

It was there that he finally saw Su Yue Immortal.

At that moment, she was being stopped by a middle-aged man.

“Substitute, where is the head?”

The person who appeared was the leader of the assassin organization Su Yue Immortal belonged to… the Expensive Sword!

Upon hearing those words, Su Yue Immortal’s body did not tremble in the slightest, nor did her face show any trace of emotion, instead she spoke softly, “Leader of the Expensive Sword, I have encountered a very important matter on my way here, and I must report to the young master.”

The tears in her eyes had long since evaporated during her journey, leaving no trace.

Her gaze and expression were unprecedentedly determined.

Su Yue Immortal was about to kill someone, and it was the young master who had caused her pain for ten years.

She would do so without any hesitation or looking back.

And all the assassin training she had received over the past decade fully erupted at this moment, making her extremely calm.

She was now a true assassin, and there was only room for success, not failure.

Otherwise, her father, her mother, her sister, and her brother-in-law would all die.

Although everything was not as she had imagined…

Her father did indeed regret his actions, and he was overwhelmed with guilt toward her.

Her sister was not the spoiled daughter either, but someone who had suffered ugliness for ten years, ridiculed by countless people.

And the man with the surname Sikong somehow broke her heart in a way she could not understand…

In the courtyard of Yunye City where Su Yue Immortal was staying, her outburst of emotions had nowhere to be released, and she was suffering from the repression.

But beneath her tough exterior, the softness that remained drove her to make a decision.

She wanted to die, but still wanted to do everything in her power to save her family.

However, the Expensive Sword coldly retorted, “I’m asking you, where’s the head?”

The so-called “head” naturally referred to the head of a member of Su Zhenglong’s household that Su Yue Immortal was supposed to bring back after completing her mission.

If she failed to deliver, the young master would kill her entire family in front of Su Yue Immortal.

Su Yue Immortal was not intimidated by the Expensive Sword, but instead firmly said, “The mission is incomplete because an accident occurred on the way.

I have some extremely unfavorable news for the young master and must return to report it at once.”

Every word she spoke was convincing, even the terrifying assassin like the Expensive Sword could not detect any issues.

After a while, the Expensive Sword asked with skepticism, “Then report to me first, and naturally, I’ll inform the young master.”

Su Yue Immortal slightly raised her head, then knelt down and said word by word, “Please forgive me, Leader of the Expensive Sword, this matter must be reported to the young master in person, and no one else can be informed before then.”

“Hmm?” The Expensive Sword’s terrifying killing intent slammed into Su Yue Immortal.

Su Yue Immortal’s body trembled slightly, but she still kept her head down and said, “The first tenet of our organization is that everything must prioritize the young master’s safety, and any matters concerning the young master’s life must adhere to this tenet.”

This was the first lesson she learned when she joined the assassin organization ten years ago.

And it was emphasized in every single lesson.

The assassin organization instilled in all its assassins the belief that the young master was their god, and his life was of utmost importance; they must protect him at all costs, even at the cost of their own lives.

This was a form of loyal brainwashing, but for the past ten years, Su Yue Immortal had not been deceived.

Perhaps it was her exceptional martial arts talent, or perhaps it was the mixed feelings of love and resentment for her father that kept her steadfast in her original intent.

The Expensive Sword stared at Su Yue Immortal for a long time before he finally agreed, “Fine, I’ll take you to see the young master.”

After taking a small breath of relief, Su Yue Immortal thanked him and followed behind the Expensive Sword.

And in the moment the Expensive Sword turned around, another figure, as elusive as a flying squirrel, flitted across the ceiling of the corridor and entered; naturally, it was Sikong Jing, who silently landed in a dark corner.

“Based on her performance just now, Su Yue Immortal is more than qualified to join the Shadow Sect’s training camp,” Sikong Jing silently praised.
