129: Chapter 129: Do You Believe in Miracles?

The deeper they ventured into the mountain range, the more treacherous the terrain became, and the stronger the demon beasts were.

A hundred thousand soldiers would find it increasingly difficult to move forward, and they would eventually be encircled and annihilated by the millions of troops of Xia Country.

Yet, Sikong Jing ignored Xia Dalian’s plea and squeezed out a drop of blood, handing it over to the nearby Sui Yu.

Following that, Sui Yu enveloped the blood with his Transcendent True Qi and injected it into the soil.

Their small actions went unnoticed by anyone else.

On their journey, Sikong Jing and Sui Yu had been performing such discreet acts at intervals.

Even Sui Yu didn’t know what Sikong Jing planned to do.

Before they realized, the fifth day had come since they entered the Dark Dragon Mountain Range.

By this time, Sikong Jing and the others had penetrated deep into the Dark Dragon Mountain Range when, finally, the millions of Xia Country’s troops caught up.

The terrifying presence was so oppressive that a hundred thousand soldiers found it difficult to breathe.

In less than an hour, they would be surrounded by the millions-strong army of Xia Country.

“Brother Sikong, at this point, do you still not give up resistance?” Xia Dalian, who was held hostage, spoke again.

All eyes were on Sikong Jing, each person already worn out, none wanting to resist any longer.

It was truly like moths to a flame, truly like eggs against a rock.

In Xia Dalian’s words, the Xia Country’s army even treated them as playthings, using the Dark Dragon Mountain Range as a training ground.

If not for fear that Sikong Jing would fall into complete despair and abandon the hundred thousand soldiers to sneak into the mountains, or that he would kill Xia Dalian, Xia Country’s true experts would have caught up long ago.

In the next moments, the millions-strong army would leave no escape for anyone, not even Sui Yu could hope to leave by taking advantage of the terrain.

“Brother Sikong, you’ve already done remarkably well.

Surrender to Xia Country, no one will blame you.”

A master from the Jin Sect expressed their lamentation.

Even though they were of the Heaven Realm or even Transcendent masters, they had come to deeply respect Sikong Jing.

Now, they were also extremely exhausted, having killed countless demon beasts along the way, and they were ready to give up as well.

“Yes, Brother Sikong, none of us will blame you.”

It was the same old sentiment, Sikong Jing and the hundred thousand soldiers might survive, but the people of Jin Sect wouldn’t.

When the people from Jin Sect spoke, Sikong Jing had already done everything he could to save them.

At this moment, Xia Dalian, the Jin Sect masters, the hundred thousand soldiers, and even the several thousand Xia Country experts who were biting at their heels, all watched Sikong Jing intently, waiting for his final decision.

Suddenly, Sikong Jing smiled, “Do you believe in miracles?”

“Hmm?”

The eyes of all present grew intense, not understanding what Sikong Jing was implying.

“I do, and now, I will take you…

to witness a miracle.”

Sikong Jing’s gaze slowly swept over everyone, finally settling on Sui Yu, nodding as a signal.

Sui Yu immediately understood what that meant, Brother Sikong wanted him to detonate the blood that had been buried in the soil along the way.

The droplets of Sikong Jing’s blood, each surrounded by his True Qi and buried earlier, could only be detonated by Sui Yu himself, and the True Qi would carry the blood up to the heavens when exploded.

Sui Yu was absolutely obedient to Sikong Jing, and he too was eager to know what the miracle was.

His fist clenched tightly, bang bang bang bang…

All the droplets of Sikong Jing’s blood, cradled by Sui Yu’s True Qi, were detonated.

While exploding into the skies, neither the blood nor the True Qi were powerful enough, so no one took notice for the moment.

Even the millions of Xia Country’s army didn’t see it.

But at that instant…

roar!

The roars rang out from the Dark Dragon Mountain Range, and then the roaring became more intense, more frequent until the whole Dark Dragon Mountain Range trembled.

In an instant, the sky was filled with demon beasts.

Everyone in the Dark Dragon Mountain Range was stunned, their eyes wide and jaws dropped.

And here, Xia Dalian and the others, after their initial shock, all turned to look at Sikong Jing.

Was this the miracle?

Why a miracle?

What on earth had he done?

“The miracle,” Sikong Jing certainly would not explain in detail, “is the Beast Tide of the Dark Dragon Mountain Range,” he said with a tone of cold arrogance.

His blood exploded to the clouds, dispersed by Sui Yu’s True Qi, and in an instant, it caught the attention of all the demon beasts in the Dark Dragon Mountain Range.

They all wanted to devour him.

It was his blood, exploded open, that triggered their instincts.

So the Beast Tide had arrived, and in their frenzy, they followed the scent of blood, searching madly for him.

“Beast, Beast Tide?” Xia Dalian’s face instantly turned pale as paper.

The entry of millions of troops into the Dark Dragon Mountain Range was not a problem because the demon beasts each had their own territory; they were not likely to unite.

But when the Beast Tide started, the millions of troops would suffer heavy casualties.

“Yes, the Beast Tide.”

Sikong Jing spoke coldly, and by this time the howling grew louder, more terrifying, with the demonic power in the Dark Dragon Mountain Range wildly swirling.

It was exactly as described in the records, and it had begun as soon as it was mentioned.

Xia Dalian’s red lips trembled wildly, and she screamed, “Quick, notify the army to retreat, retreat now!”

If millions of troops were to be destroyed because of her, she would be Daxia’s sinner.

The Xia Country’s strong men who were biting Sikong Jing’s neck were completely bewildered; a few of them, as if mad, rushed toward the oncoming Xia Country’s troops, their voices thundering, “By Princess’s decree, the army must retreat, the Beast Tide is upon us!”

Boom, boom, boom…

The True Qi of the Xia Country’s army gathered and soared to the sky, and then there was only chaos left.

The Beast Tide was a fearsome legend, known to all, dreaded by all.

Watching the chaotic True Qi of the Xia Country’s army, Xia Dalian stared tremblingly at Sikong Jing and cried out, “You’re insane, you knew there would be a Beast Tide in the Dark Dragon Mountain, and yet you dared to enter, what good does mutual destruction do you?”

If the millions of troops of Xia Country perished, then Sikong Jing’s one hundred thousand soldiers would also be torn to shreds by the Beast Tide.

“Who said I want to perish together?”

Sikong Jing was very calm, and then he shouted lowly, “Everyone listen to my command, kill the horses and hide inside their carcasses, then use their blood and flesh for food, hold out until the Beast Tide has passed.”

Having said that, he was the first to slay a warhorse and then he threw Xia Dalian into the horse’s belly.

His Long Spear still pointed at her, he turned to the surroundings and ordered, “Move!”

Everyone immediately took action, killing the horses and climbing inside as directed by Sikong Jing.

In a blink, everyone but Sikong Jing himself had disappeared inside the horses.

He pointed at Xia Dalian and stared down the Xia Country’s strong men.

The Beast Tide had truly begun, and with Princess Die Lian still in Sikong Jing’s grasp, they couldn’t even fight back.

“Kill the horses, get inside!”

The middle-aged man in Golden Armor gritted his teeth fiercely, and could only follow Sikong Jing’s method to avoid the Beast Tide.

This strategy was also passed on to the troops of Xia Country, of course, they couldn’t possibly have millions of warhorses, and the presence of the army was too strong, making them a target for the demon beasts.

Even if this method was useful, it was too late.

The Xia Country’s army had already been besieged by the demon beasts, forced to fight and retreat into hiding.

Sikong Jing looked at the frenzied roars of the Dark Dragon Mountain Range, hid his bloodline aura deep within, took a deep breath, and said, “The Blood of Ten Thousand Beasts is truly a double-edged sword.

One misstep and I could be doomed.”

After speaking, he looked back at the tide-like swarm of demon beasts, no longer dealing with Xia Dalian, and after slaying a warhorse, he hid inside.

Time ticked away bit by bit, and two days had passed in the blink of an eye.

It was still not calm around, the Beast Tide had not truly receded, but suddenly Sikong Jing…

stabbed his way out of the horse.
