139: Chapter 139 Yunzhou City, Noble Young Master 139: Chapter 139 Yunzhou City, Noble Young Master After returning to the Su Residence, Sikong Jing informed Su Zhenglong and Su Yuexi of Su Yue Immortal’s request to be severely injured.

The trio found it strange why Su Yue Immortal insisted on being severely injured.

Suddenly, Mei Xiaofang exclaimed, “I’ve figured it out!

Yue Xian is probably on some assassin mission, and it’s not one she’s willing to undertake; thus, she must return severely injured to avoid punishment.”

Instantly, Sikong Jing’s body slightly trembled, and he couldn’t help but look at Su Zhenglong.

Could it be that the task given to Su Yue Immortal by that young master is related to her family?

Is that why she did not strike?

“My poor Yue Xian, what kind of terrifying assassin organization is this, and what has Yue Xian endured in these past ten years?” Mei Xiaofang cried, growing increasingly concerned about Su Yue Immortal’s plight.

This request for injury might not be the first time.

Their Yue Xian, even though she became an assassin from a young age, still maintained her kindness.

Hearing Mei Xiaofang’s cries, Su Zhenglong also had tears in his old eyes as he said softly, “Ajing, I must accompany you to Yunzhou City.

I ruined Yue Xian ten years ago, and now I must find a way to save her, even if it means death.”

Previously, Su Yue Immortal had left a message that the young master would appear at the venue of the Yunzhou grand competition.

Su Zhenglong also had no idea who the young master was.

Back then, that young master did not reveal his identity, only telling Su Zhenglong that even the Lord of Yunzhou should respect him.

Regardless, Su Zhenglong had to face it; as a derelict father, he could no longer avoid it.

At that moment, Mei Xiaofang called out, “Master, I also want to come with you.”

“There’s no need for you to do that.

You won’t be able to help much if you go,” Su Zhenglong said while staring at Mei Xiaofang.

However, she simply offered a sorrowful smile and said, “If you die, would I still want to live?”

Suddenly, Su Zhenglong was rendered speechless.

Since the Su Zhenglong couple were both heading for Yunzhou City, Su Yuexi naturally would not stay alone in Yunye City.

Sikong Jing did not attempt to dissuade them.

What if Su Yue Immortal’s task was to assassinate Su Yuexi?

In the end, the family had to embark on this perilous journey together.

And Sikong Jing had made up his mind that no matter what, he had to resolve Su Yue Immortal’s issues so his in-laws could be without concerns.

Then, even if something were to happen to him, he could arrange for them to leave Yunzhou.

Early the next morning, the family of four, along with Ah Hu, Old Zhang, and a hundred other Yunye City soldiers, set off for Yunzhou City.

…

Meanwhile, inside a vast mansion in Yunzhou City.

Su Yue Immortal knelt before a graceful young master, her face pallid and her whole body shivering.

The young master in front of her was the man who had taken her away ten years ago.

A man whose casual words had plunged her family into a nightmare.

Su Yue Immortal hated him to the bone, but she dared not show any color at the moment.

Over the last ten years, she had been a little assassin without ever knowing the specifics of the young master’s identity, only that his background was terrifying.

After kneeling for a long time, the young master finally asked with an eerie tone, “Substitute, did you fail your mission?”

Hearing the word “substitute,” Su Yue Immortal trembled slightly; this was her assassin code name.

As mentioned before, this code name was given when she replaced her sister Su Yuexi and was taken away, following which the young master, in a burst of anger, threw her to the assassin organization for dreadful training.

Su Yue Immortal lowered her head and replied, “Young Master, I was attempting the assassination when the envoy from Yunzhou arrived at the Su family, and I was severely wounded by him.”

Bang!

The young master suddenly smashed the wineglass in his hand against Su Yue Immortal’s face and asked coldly, “Is that truly what happened?”

The terrifying aura heavily pressed down on Su Yue Immortal, causing her already injured body to shiver continually.

“You can’t bring yourself to do it, can you?” the noble young master asked again.

Struggling for words, Su Yue Immortal responded, “No, I wish I could kill Su Zhenglong’s family, but I really encountered the Lord of Yunzhou’s envoy.

I did not expect such a coincidence.

Please, young master, forgive me.”

A month ago, the leading assassin Wen Lie, met his tragic death within Yunye City.

It happened in an alley not far from the Su Residence.

Although Sikong Jing had disposed of the body seamlessly, the assassin organization to which Su Yue Immortal belonged, and the noble young master, still suspected that she was the killer.

Without finding evidence, the noble young master still imposed a punishment on her, subjecting her to Purgatory assassin training.

A treacherous training of life and death.

A month later, Su Yue Immortal miraculously survived and emerged at the Earth Realm Fourth Level, capable of replacing Wen Lie and truly becoming a person close to the noble young master.

But there was a condition…

she had to choose one of her family members to kill.

That is, she would have to kill a member of Su Zhenglong’s family to clear herself of suspicion.

This was the reason Su Yue Immortal had to sustain severe injuries after coming to the Su Residence.

She genuinely couldn’t go through with it, so she had to find an excuse of severe injuries to return.

But how could the noble young master easily believe her, his gaze cold as frost!

Trembling all over, Su Yue Immortal pleaded, “Please, young master, give me another chance.

My sister Su Yuexi will participate in the Great Yunzhou Competition soon, and they will arrive in Yunzhou City.

I will definitely complete the task then.”

Having said that, Su Yue Immortal quietly waited.

After a few moments, the noble young master finally spoke, “Oh, that delicate girl I once fancied is joining the Great Yunzhou Competition?”

“Yes, but she is very ugly now,” Su Yue Immortal emphasized.

She dared not tell the noble young master that Su Yuexi had been cured of the Crimson Spider Poison.

The reason she did not allow her sister Su Yuexi to participate in the competition was for fear that the noble young master would take an interest in her again, ultimately forcing her into his service.

With a faint smile, the noble young master slowly said, “Very well, I will give you a second chance.”

“If you fail again at that time, I will not only kill you, but I will also kill your entire family right in front of you.”

“Go and get some medicine for your wounds.”

Hearing this, Su Yue Immortal thanked him and slowly withdrew.

As soon as she was out of the noble young master’s sight, she was thoroughly drenched in sweat.

She turned back secretly and muttered, “They won’t come to the Great Yunzhou Competition.

I will still fail to complete the task then, and even if you force me to act, it will have to wait until after the competition.”

She paused, then added, “They shouldn’t come, should they?”

And then gave a bitter smile, “They definitely won’t come, for Su Zhenglong adores his youngest daughter so much.

Knowing that the noble young master will be at the competition, how could he possibly risk it?”

With this thought, Su Yue Immortal clenched her fists tightly.

“I must survive, I must buy time, I must grow strong enough to kill him.”

Several times, Su Yue Immortal no longer wanted to live, but she realized that her martial arts talent was extraordinary, especially after this Purgatory-like punishment training, making her feel more gifted than any assassin.

Ten years ago, the noble young master was at the Earth Realm, and ten years later, he had stepped into the Heaven Realm.

With a great realm between them, she was not without a chance.

She dreamt of a family reunion, even if not favored by her father, but she still had her mother!

In the evening, after being treated for her wounds, Su Yue Immortal left the noble young master’s courtyard alone and walked onto the street.

She wandered aimlessly, finding herself at the city gate without realizing it.

Suddenly, the voice of a City Guard caught her attention: “Su Yuexi of Yunye City, you are here for the competition, go on in!”

Her body trembling violently, Su Yue Immortal looked incredulously toward the gate.
