Berserk God of War

143: Chapter 143 Misunderstanding 143: Chapter 143 Misunderstanding “Yes, the one hundred thousand soldiers who survived the Dark Dragon Mountain Range, I want to bring them all into Yunzhou City undetected,” Sikong Jing emphasized again heavily.

This was the purpose of his invitation to Mo Yang, even without Duan Chun, Sikong Jing would find an opportunity to arrange this matter with Mo Yang.

One hundred thousand troops were a precaution and might also become the key to rescuing Su Yue Immortal.

Although Sikong Jing had entered Yunzhou City, he would not let himself be easily exploited.

He preferred to have matters under his own control.

After a long while, Mo Yang finally snapped back to reality, shaking his head vigorously, “Brother Sikong, I can’t do it, one hundred thousand is too many.”

Sikong Jing nodded, not unexpectedly, and asked, “Can Fan Zhong do it?”

If the Deputy Commander couldn’t manage it, what about the Commander himself?

“Lord Fan is the true Commander of Yunzhou War Mansion, of course, he can manage it.”

“Even if he can’t, the four commanders who survived from Yanyun City, if we join hands, we can definitely do it.”

Mo Yang clapped his chest in assurance, but thought maliciously in his heart: I can’t be the only one to bear this pressure, Fan Zhong and the two Deputy Commanders must all be dragged into this.

Either we all live together, or we all die together!

“Now then, take me to see Fan Zhong,” Sikong Jing spoke slowly.

Without hesitation, Mo Yang simply said a word of “please.”

Afterwards, Sikong Jing bade farewell to his father-in-law and mother-in-law, and followed Mo Yang out of the courtyard.

Watching his son-in-law Sikong Jing disappear, Su Zhenglong felt somewhat bewildered for a moment and asked blankly, “Brother Ah Hu, there won’t be any danger for Ajing on this trip, will there?”

Ah Hu just laughed and replied, “Patriarch Su can rest assured.

Brother Sikong frightened Mo Yang, that old dog, pretty badly in the battle at Yanyun City, and he also has a hold over the lives of these commanders.”

If they do not wish to be killed by the big shots of Jin Sect, they have to obediently follow orders.

Taking a breath, Su Zhenglong couldn’t help but ask, “What exactly was the battle at Yanyun City like?”

This question got Ah Hu, Old Zhang, and all the other soldiers excited.

The battle was astonishing and capable of moving heaven and earth, making ghosts weep, yet they couldn’t speak of it, especially since the Great Shang Emperor’s Order was to kill anyone from Jin Sect, and they certainly couldn’t talk recklessly about it, especially Brother Sikong’s sensitive identity.

But to someone absolutely on their own side like Su Zhenglong, the soldiers could finally speak freely.

The crowd began to tell the story to the Su Zhenglong couple in an excited cacophony, starting with the killing of Chou Ye and reaching a crescendo that had them slapping their thighs in excitement.

The Su Zhenglong couple were already staring agape, the more they heard, the more shocked they became; the storytelling by the crowd was much more exciting than what Sikong Jing had told, recounting time after time of peril, differential treatment, and narrow escapes…

They listened in disbelief, yet flushed with excitement.

This incredible person, was actually their son-in-law…

When they heard that Sikong Jing had firmly refused the offer from the Princess of Xia Country, citing his family as the reason, the couple was moved again.

It was a great opportunity for Sikong Jing to get rid of his criminal status and become famous in Xia Country.

But for Yue Xi, for the two of them, he chose to give it up.

In the end, Su Zhenglong quietly looked over at Mei Xiaofang, “Yue Xi’s mother, it seems we’ve misunderstood Ajing before.”

Mei Xiaofang opened her mouth to speak, recalling that every word from Ajing seemed to come true.

“Father, Mother, you were still doubtful about Brother Jing?” Su Yuexi popped up without them knowing, having also heard the story about her Brother Jing.

She had been moved to tears upon hearing his refusal to be recruited by the Princess of Xia Country.

However, hearing her parents’ conversation, Su Yuexi couldn’t help but puff up her cheeks, a bit angry.

Su Zhenglong and Mei Xiaofang were utterly embarrassed, but truly, who could believe these were feats achievable by humans?

If it weren’t for Ah Hu and the others who had experienced it themselves, they would probably have just shaken their heads and scoffed.

Just as the two were thinking of something to say…

Suddenly, Ah Hu, facing the direction of the door, called out in a low voice, “Who’s there?”

The gathered soldiers sensed the killing intent all at once, and immediately after, a desolate figure appeared at the doorway—a young woman with a scarred face, looking like a lonely ghost under the moonlight.

The jubilant Su Zhenglong couple froze on the spot, instinctively crying out, “Yue Xian.”

Su Yuexi also exclaimed in delight, “Sister.”

All three rushed forward without hesitation, but Su Yue Immortal sharply shouted, “Don’t come any closer.”

Suddenly, the three of them didn’t dare to move again.

“Yue Xian, please don’t leave us again, alright?” Mei Xiaofang stood in place, pleading through tears.

However, Su Yue Immortal ignored her and slowly turned her gaze to Su Yuexi, then asked with a bitter laugh, “I told you not to come to Yunzhou City, why did you still come?”

Su Zhenglong, with a stern face, replied, “Yue Xian, of course, we came for you, we must save you.”

“Shut up!”

As soon as the words fell, Su Yue Immortal fiercely interrupted, her voice chilling as she said, “Su Zhenglong, enough with the pretense, am I just trash in your eyes?”

Su Zhenglong forcefully shook his head, with tears flying, “Yue Xian, I know you hate me, but father truly regrets it.”

“Regrets?

You regret?”

Suddenly, Su Yue Immortal, with red-rimmed eyes, pointed at Su Yuexi and said coldly, “Am I really so inferior to your little daughter?

The Flowing Cloud Flying Squirrel I gave you, you turned it into a scarf for your younger sister…”

Upon hearing this, Su Zhenglong and Su Yuexi were stunned, as the scarf was a gift from Sikong Jing.

The Flowing Cloud Flying Squirrel that Su Yue Immortal had given hadn’t even been touched yet.

Yet, Su Yue Immortal did not give them any chance to explain and pointed to Su Yuexi’s hair, saying, “Ten years ago, when I left, I said that seeing the Jade hairpin would remind you of me, but now it’s in your younger sister’s hair.”

The three of them froze again; the Jade hairpin had recognized Su Yuexi as its owner due to a strange anomaly.

Su Yue Immortal laughed bitterly, “Heh heh, I am really nothing to you all.”

Ten years ago, she had been the one taken away by the nobleman in place of Su Yuexi, and Su Zhenglong had risked his life to retrieve the antidote for Su Yuexi.

Ten years later, she had risked her life to bring Su Zhenglong the Flowing Cloud Flying Squirrel, only for it to become Su Yuexi’s possession.

And now, even the Jade hairpin was adorned in her younger sister’s hair; what was there left to say?

Su Yue Immortal felt so foolish, still thinking of risking her life for such a family, suffering a grave injury and nearly dying in purgatory training, only to be repaid with such a cruel scene.

At this moment, Su Yue Immortal truly wanted to die.

“No, Sister, listen to our explanation,” Su Yuexi pleaded, shaking her head vigorously.

However, Su Yue Immortal interrupted sternly, “You shut up too, you’re nothing but a spoiled brat.

Mom and Dad were enduring the wind and sun, while you were cozied up with your Brother Jing in the carriage, acting all lovey-dovey.

Have you no conscience?”

The three of them were once again taken aback; sitting in the carriage was because Brother Jing had to feign a serious injury.

“Ahem, this lady…”

At this point, Ah Hu couldn’t help but try to speak up.

But with a ‘whoosh,’ a sword passed by Ah Hu, and Su Yue Immortal said coldly, “You all shut up, too.

My family matters are none of your business.”

With a wry smile, Ah Hu felt the oppressive force of an Earth Realm coming from Su Yue Immortal and dared not say any more.

But he hurriedly sent someone to fetch Sikong Jing back.
