120: Chapter 120 Sikong Jing, I Remember You Now 120: Chapter 120 Sikong Jing, I Remember You Now “Let’s go, we should also go and appease this genius youth, lest he does something impulsive again.”

Having said this, Fan Zhong took two Deputy Commanders with him to meet Sikong Jing.

In the eyes of Fan Zhong and the other two, small as Sikong Jing might be, they did not conceal their thoughts and got straight to the point, telling him that he was too young to stand out and how easy it would be for others to remember him and seek revenge.

They moved him with emotion and reasoned with him, a method of claiming credit that was much more clever than Mo Yang’s.

In the end, Fan Zhong spoke with heartfelt earnestness, “Of course, I will not let you suffer, I hope you can understand.”

“I don’t mind, Lord Fan.” Sikong Jing shrugged his shoulders in response.

“Hahaha, what a teachable young man.

After the battle settles, you come report to the Yunzhou Battle Mansion.”

After laughing heartily and expressing his satisfaction with Sikong Jing’s attitude, promising to support him, Fan Zhong turned around and left.

As they watched them disappear, Ah Hu angrily said, “Yunzhou Battle Mansion, why are they all like this?”

“It infuriates me, they are all in the same nest of snakes and rats, not a single decent one.”

Old Zhang was also huffing with anger, stealing Brother Sikong’s great merit and then making Brother Sikong feel grateful, truly deplorable.

Sikong Jing spoke with a deep gaze, “I have wronged you, but actually, this is all within my expectations.

Besides, I do not wish to become famous.”

Just as Sui Yu feared, if he became too famous, then Yang Tianmo and Yan Ruyu would find out, which would be unfavorable for him at the moment.

He only wanted to rescue Sui Yu.

The reason he revealed his name was because Sikong Jing knew that such great merit would tempt not just Mo Yang to claim it.

His name would eventually be submerged without a trace, unmentioned by anyone.

And what would Sikong Jing care for this bit of merit?

He was destined to destroy the Great Shang Dynasty, destined to be a rebel of the Great Shang Dynasty.

What use would merit be to him?

Peace returned outside of Yanyun City, and soon after, Fan Zhong summoned Sikong Jing to discuss whether to lead troops back into the city since the gate had already been breached, presenting a good opportunity.

But in the end, they felt the forces from Yunzhou were too few to ensure victory.

After the discussion, Fan Zhong commanded, “Once the troops from the other cities arrive, we will launch our attack into the city.”

Regarding this, Sikong Jing naturally did not express any opinion.

Having experienced one city breach, the people of Xia Country inside Yanyun City were exceedingly careful.

Indeed, attacking again with too few numbers would not bring any advantage.

Another day passed, and troops from more than a dozen other cities arrived.

Although there were still some cities that had not sent reinforcements, Fan Zhong ordered, “We can’t wait any longer.

We now have an army of six hundred thousand, more than enough to confront the mighty warriors of Xia Country inside the city.

Transmit my command, let everyone assemble.”

In a blink of an eye, all the troops gathered with Fan Zhong at the forefront, intimidating and formidable, standing outside Yanyun City.

Looking at the six hundred thousand-strong army, Fan Zhong cleared his throat, and while standing on horseback, he gave a pre-battle speech, “Fellow soldiers of Yunzhou, I am the Commander of War Mansion, Fan Zhong, while you are City Guard Soldiers scorned by others.”

As soon as these words were spoken, the expressions of the six hundred thousand soldiers grew discontented, feeling insulted.

“But so what if we are City Guard Soldiers?”

“We still managed to break through the Yanyun City Gate.

Do you see that ruined gate over there?

That was breached by the troops I led.”

Fan Zhong, with overwhelming vigor, pointed at the broken gate of Yanyun City, not showing the slightest sign of shunning responsibility and acting as if it were only natural.

Behind Sikong Jing, the one hundred thousand soldiers clenched their teeth, their faces red with rage.

Mo Yang, pretending to look pale and distressed, was also gasping with anger.

Fan Zhong, that bastard, was even more ruthless than I was.

He was actually claiming Sikong Jing’s credit openly, what a scoundrel.

And those tens of thousands of surviving soldiers who had witnessed Sikong Jing’s performance also twitched their mouths, but no one dared to speak up.

Finally, the faces of the city guards who had just arrived underwent dramatic changes.

One by one, they looked up at Fan Zhong with admiration, their expressions filled with indescribable excitement.

It turned out that their humble City Guard soldiers were indeed capable of breaching Yanyun City and attacking the formidable opponents of Xia Country within.

Suddenly, they felt an overwhelming surge of spirit, energy, and morale.

Fan Zhong watched the city guards before him with a satisfied and triumphant look.

However, he still needed to emphasize his point and assert his authority.

“With me, Fan Zhong here, what is Yanyun City?

What are the formidable Xia Country experts?”

“With three hundred thousand troops, I can break through Yanyun City, and with six hundred thousand, I can make Xia Country’s strong men cry for their fathers and mothers.”

Having said this, Fan Zhong slowly swept his gaze over the six hundred thousand-strong army, welcoming their salutes and gazes.

Out of nowhere, a crisp and icy female voice came from atop the Yanyun City Wall, “Sikong Jing, I’ve remembered you.”

“Hm?”

Fan Zhong, who had been in full swagger, suddenly changed his expression and looked up at the city wall, only to see a striking woman in warrior’s attire standing there.

She was flanked by thousands of formidable figures, exuding a majestic and oppressive aura.

At the same time, Sikong Jing, who had previously appeared unconcerned, suddenly cast his eyes towards the city wall, his gaze flickering sharply.

In that moment, he deduced that this woman was the overall commander of Xia Country’s forces within Yanyun City.

At this time, the woman in warrior’s attire, under the guidance of a middle-aged man in golden armor, also found Sikong Jing, her gaze cold and clear.

“Well done, with the power of the Peak of the Dark Realm and just a hundred thousand troops, you’ve broken through my arrangements in Yanyun City, slowed my pace, and let me taste defeat.

You’ve successfully made me remember you,” she said.

Upon hearing this, the thirty-some million new troops looked confused, exchanging glances with one another.

Then, they turned their eyes to Fan Zhong one by one.

Hadn’t the Commander said that it was he who had breached Yanyun City?

Who was this Sikong Jing, and why did the enemy remember him?

Fan Zhong’s eyes bulged with indescribable fury.

Who the hell was this woman?

Why was she now mentioning that she remembered Sikong Jing?

Was she trying to slap me in the face?

Damn it, I was the one trying to establish prestige.

If the newcomers learned that the credit didn’t belong to me, where would I, Fan Zhong, place my face?

With these thoughts, Fan Zhong said loudly to Princess Die Lian, “Little girl, I am Fan Zhong, you…”

Before he could finish, Princess Die Lian interrupted, “You, a piece of trash, are not worthy of speaking to me.”

With her Transcendent Martial Arts Realm, Princess Die Lian let out a voice that boomed powerfully, making Fan Zhong turn pale, nearly tumbling off his horse.

Then, Princess Die Lian turned to Sikong Jing, “Come forward and lead the six hundred thousand troops to attack me.

I want to defeat you with my own hands.”

Sikong Jing’s lips twitched slightly, and he replied softly, “I am just a temporary commander, not as formidable as you think.

You don’t need to remember me; remembering Lord Fan is more important.”

He truly didn’t want fame; heaven knows why this Xia Country woman remembered his name.

He had merely reported his name to a few spies when entering the city, albeit a little too loudly.

Fan Zhong, hearing this, felt slightly better, thinking Sikong Jing was quite decent.

He straightened up and puffed out his chest, “Xia Country wench, stop pointing fingers at my people.

The one who breached Yanyun City was me; it was all under my command.”

However, would Princess Die Lian believe that?

All of Sikong Jing’s actions had been witnessed by the two middle-aged men in golden armor.

And this Fan Zhong, whom she found rather annoying, simply reached out from atop the city wall, and a palm seemed to form out of the wind appeared in front of Fan Zhong, striking him solidly…

smack!

With a slap, Fan Zhong was sent tumbling off his horse, letting out a miserable howl.
