Berserk God of War

116: Chapter 116: Breaching the City, Unstoppable 116: Chapter 116: Breaching the City, Unstoppable The scene before their eyes stunned everyone on the city walls.

And those outside the city were no less shocked, their jaws nearly hitting the ground.

Ah Hu and Old Zhang, among others, watched dumbfounded as thousands of horses charged fiercely and fearlessly.

It was overwhelmingly awe-inspiring.

Finally, two middle-aged men in golden armor on the city walls reacted, bellowing, “Quick, stop those mad horses!”

Currents of Heavenly Realm and Earth Realm energies intertwined and swooped down to the assault.

But there were simply too many horses; as soon as they engaged, they were blown away or overwhelmed, with not even dregs remaining.

What Heavenly Realm, what Earth Realm, at this moment seemed insignificant as grains of sand.

Crack…

Suddenly, the city gate made a cracking sound.

A flash of brilliance in Sikong Jing’s eyes, he addressed the hundred thousand soldiers lying prone on the ground, “The city is about to fall, everyone charge with the horses.”

With a thunderous boom…

The city gate was completely breached, and the horses poured into the city, followed closely by Sikong Jing and his hundred thousand troops storming into the city.

The two golden armored middle-aged men’s eyes widened, their faces a complete mess.

Was the solid-as-gold Yanyun City really broken through like this?

Why would the horses charge, why are the damned horses not afraid to die?

“Roar!”

At that moment, they heard another beast-like roar, still emanating from Sikong Jing.

But this time, it was to steady the horses’ emotions.

In an instant, the charging horses inside the city slowed their pace.

Seeing this, Sikong Jing then shouted to the hundred thousand soldiers, “All men, follow me and mount up!”

By then, everyone had long forgotten what fear was.

Whatever Sikong Jing said, they did, no longer caring whether the horses would go mad again—each one leaped onto a horse.

Hundred thousand cavalry, reassembled!

At this moment, Sikong Jing declared in a low voice, “People of the Great Shang Dynasty, if you’re there, we are Sikong Jing from Yunye City, leading to Tianlong Villa.”

In an instant, several figures dropped onto the empty streets that were previously deserted.

“General Sikong, please follow us.”

These several people were naturally the Great Shang spies hidden within Yanyun City.

Seeing the city gates broken through, they did not hesitate at all, appearing immediately to lead Sikong Jing and his hundred thousand soldiers towards Tianlong Villa.

As for recognizing Sikong Jing, of course, they didn’t, but did that really matter?

“This is bad, this is very bad…”

The two golden armored middle-aged men were not just in disarray, but also in panic.

If the hundred thousand soldiers reached Tianlong Villa, they could join forces with the experts from Jin Sect inside.

The situation would then become unmanageable.

And there was the highly esteemed Princess Die Lian.

She couldn’t afford any more mishaps, or else their entire family might face execution, and that would be letting them off lightly.

“You go and report to Princess Die Lian, I’ll take some men and delay their advance.”

After making their plan, one dashed towards the direction of Tianlong Villa, while the other rallied the strong men of Xia Country.

Under his leadership, they charged ahead of the hundred thousand soldiers, blocking Sikong Jing’s path.

Looking at the hundreds of men in front of them, Ah Hu said trembling, “Such a terrifying aura of Martial Arts, Brother Sikong, can we break through?”

The Golden-armored middle-aged man was a Transcendent Strong Person, and the hundreds around him were either at the Earth Realm or Heavenly Realm.

In contrast, the highest among them were merely at the Human Realm third level.

The mere presence of the Xia Country Golden Armored General was enough to make one despair.

Sikong Jing said coldly, “They are strong, but we have horses and a hundred thousand men.

They can’t hope to block us.”

Xia Country might have taken Yanyun City, but after all, this was Great Shang Yunzhou.

How much could Xia Country’s numbers really swell?

They were merely individually strong in the Martial Arts.

Moreover, most of their forces were besieging Tianlong Villa, leaving not many behind.

“However, from here on out, you must absolutely follow my command, or I will be targeted,” Sikong Jing’s voice grew colder.

How to claim victory when facing an army larger than one’s own?

Sikong Jing’s previous few major battles had already made it very clear.

It involved capturing the leader first, for killing the head would render them leaderless and turn them into a scattered mess.

Now, Sikong Jing was the leader of a hundred thousand troops, finding himself in a very perilous situation.

Indeed, just as Sikong Jing’s voice fell, the Golden Armored Middle-aged Man who remained shouted, “Kill that young leader first.”

The killing intent of hundreds of strong individuals converged upon Sikong Jing, and then, waves of Heavenly Realm True Qi bombarded him while figures charged to kill.

A glint of light flashed in Sikong Jing’s eyes, and he shouted low, “Hear my command, gather True Qi in front of me, explode!”

As his words ended, the generals and soldiers behind him condensed True Qi, all striking at the space in front of Sikong Jing.

Wow…

Several Heavenly Realm experts rushing towards Sikong Jing screamed in agony and were sent flying back, spitting blood.

Even if most of the hundred thousand strong army were only minor Bright Realm fighters, the convergence of all their True Qi into one point was terrifying.

The chaotic impact of such energy was something even ordinary Transcendent Strong People couldn’t withstand.

Unless one was a battle-hardened existence like Sikong Jing.

The Golden Armored Warriors before him may also have been through numerous battles, but they faced the Invincible God General, Sikong Jing.

Following that, Sikong Jing continued to lead his troops on the charge.

The Golden Armored Middle-aged Man and several hundred Xia Country strong individuals were forced to retreat continuously, failing multiple times in their attempts to kill Sikong Jing, even to the point where the middle-aged man bled from the corner of his mouth and his expression turned extremely ugly.

“Who exactly is this young man?” the Golden Armored Middle-aged Man gritted his teeth.

Facing a lowly Dark Realm martial artist, a lofty Transcendent Strong Person unexpectedly felt a sense of despair.

…

At the inn near Tianlong Villa, Princess Die Lian suddenly stood up and looked in the direction of the city gates, “What’s that sound?”

All of a sudden, the previously defeated Golden Armored Middle-aged Man returned with haste, reporting, “Your Highness Princess, something has gone wrong, Yanyun City has been breached.”

“What did you say?”

Princess Die Lian was utterly stunned.

Just a moment ago, there had been internal conflict outside the city; how could the city have fallen so quickly?

The Female Guard hurriedly asked, “Did Shang Country send some terrifying master?

The Golden Armored Middle-aged Man forcefully shook his head and then recounted the city’s breach.

After hearing this, both Princess Die Lian and the Female Guard were so astounded that their mouths gaped open.

A rush of ten thousand horses had broken through the gates and charged in, and the enemy still had only a hundred thousand troops, with not a single one stronger than the Earth Realm.

This was utterly inconceivable; Princess Die Lian had never heard of such a thing.

“Who’s the commander?

Kill him at once,” Princess Die Lian ordered.

No sooner had she spoken than another Heavenly Realm Golden Armored General flashed in from the front, kneeling on one knee, “Princess, the commander claims to be called Sikong Jing, a young man about the same age as the Princess.

We can’t kill him.”

Princess Die Lian widened her eyes in disbelief, “Why can’t you kill him, is he that strong?”

“No, not that, he is just at the Dark Realm Peak…”

At these words, whether it was Princess Die Lian, the Female Guard, or even the Golden Armored Middle-aged Man, all were dumbfounded.

Dark Realm Peak?

What kind of ridiculous notion was that?

A warrior of such strength couldn’t be killed, what kind of joke was that?

“His ability to lead troops is too strong, he always manages to see through our assassination attempts.”

“And with the power of a hundred thousand, he has heavily wounded each of us and forced us back; we may not be able to stop their advance.”

The Golden Armored General said through gritted teeth, the situation was embarrassingly bad.

Princess Die Lian clenched her fists and after a short while, she asked hoarsely, “How long till they reach Tianlong Villa?”

“I’m afraid it’ll take less than half a moment,” the Heavenly Realm Golden Armor replied.
