Berserk God of War

133: Chapter 133: Return to Yunye City 133: Chapter 133: Return to Yunye City Hum!

At that moment, Su Yuexi felt the world spin, her vision engulfing in utter darkness.

“Brother Jing, Brother Jing ah!” Su Yuexi cried out hysterically, her sobs echoing throughout the city.

Suddenly, a dreadful scream rose from below the city.

Jerked from her despair into a frenzy, Su Yuexi rushed to the edge of the city wall and saw her father, Su Zhenglong, propped against the city gate with a spear wound in his shoulder, blood gushing profusely.

“Father…” Su Yuexi tried to leap down but was firmly held back by someone.

“Let go of me, let me go ah!”

She struggled madly, but with her Human Realm Third Level power, how could she break free?

Her eyes, red with rage, turned towards Duan Chengzhang, “I want to die with my father, I want to join Brother Jing.

Why won’t you let me go down and die together?”

Her tears flowed freely as she crumbled emotionally.

Out of the blue, cries of ecstasy erupted, “City Lord, look quickly, reinforcements have arrived!”

At these words, Duan Chengshan and others instinctively looked into the distance, where clouds of dust rose high into the sky, the sound of horse hooves thundering, as if shaking the very foundation of Yunye City.

Atop the city walls, countless people widened their eyes in wild joy.

“It must be Yunzhou City dispatching troops to our aid, we are saved!” exclaimed a City Lord’s Guard Officer triumphantly.

The entire city stirred with excitement, Yunye City need not fall after all.

In that moment, Su Yuexi stopped her struggle, shouting up at the City Lord, “City Lord, the reinforcements have arrived, you don’t need to flee the city anymore, quickly open the gates and let my father in.”

Duan Chengshan took a deep breath, his gaze slowly returning to Su Yuexi’s face, and with a slight smile, he said, “That can be arranged, but you’ll have to promise me one thing.”

“Speak quickly, I’ll agree to anything,” Su Yuexi implored without hesitation, her father was on the brink of death.

Grinning sinisterly, Duan Chengshan commanded, “I won’t allow you to die; I want you to become my son’s woman.

And from now on, you’re forbidden from thinking about your criminal husband.

Never mention his name again.”

At his words, Su Yuexi stood in disbelief, gazing incredulously at Duan Chengshan.

“Congratulations, Lady Su, from now on you’ll be the Young City Lord’s Wife.”

“Now kneel and agree, pay respects to your future father-in-law.”

The surrounding City Lord’s Guards laughed uproariously, their mockery flooding over Su Yuexi.

Her entire body trembling, Su Yuexi’s mind was filled with everything about Brother Jing, while her ears were assailed by Duan Chengshan’s heartless voice, “If you don’t agree, your father is going to die.”

Shaking violently, Su Yuexi closed her eyes, tears streaming down her face.

She clenched her fists tightly, a thought to save her father and then join Brother Jing in death grew irresistibly.

She didn’t have the luxury of time to consider it further, and looking up with a desolate voice, she managed to say, “I agree…

Brother Jing!”

Just as she was about to concede, her peripheral vision caught a glimpse of the neatly formed arriving forces, and she couldn’t help but exclaim.

The distance was still too great for Su Yuexi to see clearly.

But for some reason, a thought crossed her mind.

The man leading the reinforcements seemed to be Brother Jing; the barely discernible figure on horseback really looked like him, really seemed…

“Scoundrel, you dare to call out to that criminal?

Do you really wish your father dead?”

Duan Chengshan never expected Su Yuexi to dare mention “Brother Jing” again and couldn’t help but curse loudly.

But Su Yuexi ignored him and walked to the edge of the city wall.

Her white dress fluttering, she was like a wistful ghost expecting her husband’s return.

And the man leading the reinforcements was getting closer; not being able to resist, she called out tentatively, “Brother Jing…”

Her voice tore through the smoky haze of the battlefield, traveling far and wide.

And the so-called reinforcements weren’t from Yunzhou City at all, but rather Sikong Jing’s thirty thousand Yunye soldiers.

He had already seen the battle in front of Yunye City and had ordered the charge.

However, that call caused Sikong Jing to tremble throughout his entire being.

“Yuexi…”

Sikong Jing’s gaze was fixated on the city wall above, where standing in isolation was none other than the wife he thought of night and day.

The next moment, Sikong Jing spurred his horse into a mad dash, shouting back, “Yue Xi, I’ve come back!”

Hum!

Su Yuexi’s mind thundered, and a light that rose from despair broke through the darkness.

At this moment, she wanted nothing else.

She pushed hard with her feet and unexpectedly floated out from the city wall.

The sudden determination left even Duan Chengshan and others unable to react.

In mid-air, Su Yuexi executed a series of steps from Cloud Dance Light Spirit Step and called out loudly, “Brother Jing.”

Sikong Jing was stunned.

Su Yuexi had actually leaped down from the city wall.

Why?

Without further thought or hesitation, and leaping from his horse, Sikong Jing, with a low shout, said, “Beast Skill, Flying Blood!”

In that instant, Sikong Jing seemed to sprout wings on his back, soaring high into the sky as if flying.

Ah Hu and Old Zhang, who were following behind him, couldn’t help but be dumbfounded.

Old Zhang stammered, “Ah Hu, doesn’t Brother Sikong look like the Transcendent Warhorse owned by Princess Die Lian from Xia Country?”

With a twitch of his mouth, Ah Hu replied, “Seems like Brother Sikong has invented another Beast Skill.”

They had witnessed Sikong Jing inventing the Beast Skill Leopard Strike, Beast Skill Flowing Cloud, and now a Beast Skill of a Transcendent Warhorse.

They were not wrong.

The Beast Skill Flying Blood was indeed something Sikong Jing had comprehended from the Transcendent Warhorse.

After devouring the Beast Heart and swallowing the Beast Pill, Sikong Jing had completely discerned the movement of the demonic power within the Transcendent Warhorse.

However, the Transcendent Warhorse was a being of the Transcendent Third Realm, so it wasn’t until the return trip that Sikong Jing truly integrated and utilized it.

The Transcendent Warhorse was known as the Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse, so Sikong Jing named it accordingly: Beast Skill Flying Blood.

Of course, Sikong Jing did not have real wings.

He could only harness the power of the wind and couldn’t truly fly.

But even so, with the power of the Human Realm, he soared high into the air.

Just as Su Yuexi was about to land, he caught her in his arms.

The couple embraced each other amidst tens of thousands of Bandits Ma as if no one else were present.

Looking up, Su Yuexi, with tears blurring her vision, stared at Sikong Jing and then burst out, “Brother Jing, is it really you?”

Meanwhile, everyone on the city wall was astounded, particularly Duan Chengshan.

“How is that criminal still alive?”

By this time, they also realized that the troops approaching weren’t the reinforcements sent from Yunzhou City, but rather Sikong Jing himself.

“That’s Ah Hu, and that’s Old Zhang, the thirty thousand soldiers from Yunye City have not all died in battle.”

The City Lord’s Guard officers were all agape.

They too recognized the approaching thirty thousand soldiers, including commanders like Ah Hu and Old Zhang.

But the news had already come from Yunzhou City: all six hundred thousand had perished.

This was stated by Lord Fan, the Commander of Yunzhou Battle Mansion.

After the shock had passed, suddenly a guard officer chuckled, “I wonder what kind of luck they had, but Su Yuexi is really foolish.

Even if she survived before, she will die now.

They are actually showing affection amongst tens of thousands of Bandits Ma.”

Duan Chengshan was stunned for a moment.

Sikong Jing and his wife were now surrounded by Bandits Ma.

The thirty thousand soldiers behind them definitely couldn’t catch up in time.

“Damn, the woman I wanted for Chun’er is about to die.”

Duan Chengshan did not believe Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi had any chance of survival.

Seeing Su Yuexi about to die, he couldn’t help but curse and swear.

At the same time, in the midst of the Bandits Ma circle, Su Yuexi suddenly thought of something and called out, “Brother Jing, save father quickly.”

Without delay, she hurriedly pointed towards the city gate.
