Pfft…

Suddenly, Lan Shou’s shoulder was impaled by a long spear, hoisting him high off the ground.

“Who are you?

Why would Fan Zhong toss you over here, answer me.”

Lifting his head, Lan Shou found himself face to face with Sikong Jing, the one Fan Zhong had mentioned.

“Sikong Jing, I am the chief Steward of the Lord of Yunzhou’s household.

Release me if you know what’s good for you.”

Lan Shou’s shoulder throbbed with pain as he issued his threat to Sikong Jing.

He was accustomed to acting as a domineering lackey for the Lord of Yunzhou.

In his eyes, Sikong Jing was nothing more than a little Jianghu figure with some talent in leading troops, who hailed from Yunye City.

Even if Sikong Jing had defected to Xia Country, revealing his own identity would strike fear into him.

After all, how strong could the resolve of a minor character be?

“So it was you who persuaded Fan Zhong not to besiege the city, why?” Sikong Jing asked coldly.

“Why?

It’s to make sure every one of the Jin Sect people dies here, not a single one should return.”

“Boy, if you know what’s good for you, let me go now and point out all the Jin Sect members among your troops.

I might just spare your life and make the Lord of Yunzhou drop the pursuit of your surrender to Xia Country.”

Lan Shou, in an attempt to persuade Sikong Jing and to save his life, exaggerated the gravity of the situation.

“This is the Great Shang Emperor’s Order.

It’s not something a minor Jianghu figure like you can handle.

Release me, or face the extermination of your entire clan!”

Great Shang Emperor’s Order…

Sikong Jing and Sui Yu exchanged a glance, their eyes brimming with frosty determination.

Immediately after, Sikong Jing shouted, “I see, thanks for the information.

Now you can die!”

With a thrust of his long spear, Lan Shou was dead on the spot.

In his final moments, his eyes bulged in disbelief; Sikong Jing truly dared to kill him.

Wasn’t his surrender to Xia Country out of desperation?

By exposing all the Jin Sect members, he was supposed to secure his life.

Of course, he did not realize that Sikong Jing was far from a minor character.

Without another glance at Lan Shou, Sikong Jing led his troops out, heading straight for the Dark Dragon Mountain Range.

Xia Country’s mighty pursued them closely, but just then, a middle-aged man in golden armor said coldly, “Leave some men behind to slaughter all these Yunzhou War Mansion soldiers.

Don’t leave a single one to send word.”

The safety of Princess Die Lian was paramount.

If news reached the Border Battle City, the Great Shang Dynasty might change its orders, no longer pursuing the Jin Sect members, and instead use Princess Die Lian to negotiate with Daxia.

Kill, kill, kill…

The three hundred thousand strong army was butchered without a survivor, and Yanyun City was also left with some men to seal it off.

An hour later, several kilometers from Yanyun City, the ground showed signs of disturbance.

Fan Zhong and Mo Yang, along with three other Deputy Commanders, surfaced, gasping for air.

But when they looked around, they were nearly shocked to the core.

It was too horrific, too bloody.

“Lord Fan, what should we do now?” Mo Yang’s legs trembled uncontrollably.

They were caught between a rock and a hard place.

It was confirmed that Sikong Jing had taken the female leader of Xia as a hostage in his escape, and he was with all the major figures of the Jin Sect.

If Sikong Jing and the Jin Sect returned to Yunzhou City, going back to Yunzhou City would also mean death for them.

The Jin Sect’s big shots wouldn’t spare them.

More terrifying still was that if the Jin Sect members hadn’t died, then the Great Shang Dynasty figures who wanted them dead would also be furious.

At that point, his role as Commander of the Yunzhou War Mansion would end very poorly.

After all, Sikong Jing was one of his subordinates, and he, Fan Zhong, was the leader of this siege.

“Regardless, we must first find out what happened to Sikong Jing and his Jin Sect people.

The strong ones of Xia Country won’t let them off easily.”

Fan Zhong gritted his teeth, and made a decision.

And they had just seemingly heard they were to head to the Dark Dragon Mountain Range, so the four of them covertly followed.

When they arrived at the Dark Dragon Mountain Range, they indeed saw traces of a hundred thousand troops.

“They really went in, our only choice now is to wait.”

“If Sikong Jing and the people from the Jin Sect died inside, that would be for the best, but if they didn’t die and even managed to escape the pursuit of Xia Country’s powerhouses, let’s seek refuge in Xia Country.”

Three Deputy Commanders sighed repeatedly, cursing Sikong Jing incessantly.

A day went by when the four guarding the outside of Dark Dragon Mountain Range suddenly heard noises, and were stunned at first sight, seeing Xia Country’s large army suddenly advancing, an endless swarm in sight.

Without any hesitation, the four dug another hole and buried themselves in it.

After a whole day, they emerged from the ground once more, their faces marked with extreme fear; they had overheard the Xia Country’s large army talking…

The Border Battle City of Yunzhou had been broken through by the large army from Xia Country.

Sikong Jing, who had taken the female leader of Yanyun City of Xia Country as a hostage, turned out to be Princess Die Lian of Xia Country.

Now, millions of Xia Country’s elite troops had entered the Dark Dragon Mountain Range, just to rescue their Princess Die Lian.

“Sikong Jing, he’s simply insane,” Mo Yang said, his face twitching.

It was too terrifying, they had never encountered such a frightening situation.

The people from Jin Sect killed the Eldest Prince of Xia Country, Sikong Jing captured the Princess of Xia Country as a hostage, it was like piercing the heavens.

“With Xia Country’s large army breaking through the Border Battle City, Yunzhou will be in great chaos,” one Deputy Commander said.

The second Deputy Commander said, “As long as they rescue the Princess of Xia Country from Dark Dragon Mountain Range, they will invade Yunzhou.”

Fan Zhong’s breathing became incredibly frantic.

All three Deputy Commanders looked at him, wondering what to do next?

“Remember this, we have never broken through Yanyun City, and we do not know the man called Sikong Jing,” he said.

“The armies of Yunye City, Qingyun City and the like, totaling six hundred thousand, were all annihilated by Xia Country’s large army, we fought valiantly with six hundred thousand troops, but still couldn’t resist.”

“Now let’s go back and rally the troops that other cities have sent, and just go through the motions.”

“As for why Xia Country’s large army would enter Dark Dragon Mountain Range, we know nothing, do not mention a single word, understood?”

As Fan Zhong spoke, the three Deputy Commanders nodded their heads.

They were very clear that if certain things were said, they would die miserable deaths.

At this moment, Mo Yang asked, “Lord Fan, if Sikong Jing and the people from the Jin Sect come out alive…”

“Survive my ass, with millions of Xia Country’s elite troops storming into the Dark Dragon Mountain Range, even if Sikong Jing is the Great Merchant Invincible God General?

Leading a hundred thousand lousy City Guards, there is no way to survive.”

Fan Zhong interrupted directly, and sprinted away without looking back.

The three Deputy Commanders hurriedly followed, none believing Sikong Jing and the people from the Jin Sect could survive.

…

In the Dark Dragon Mountain Range, Sikong Jing had already been inside for two days.

The hundred thousand troops moved deeper without any respite.

One after another, they were as exhausted as oxen, but they couldn’t stop because millions from Xia Country’s large army were already pursuing them inside.

“Sikong Jing, stop your futile struggles, there is only one way out now, and that is to surrender to our Great Xia,” Xia Dalian sneered at Sikong Jing, still in his hands.

Is Dark Dragon Mountain Range terrifying?

Yes, but it’s still not enough to stop millions from Xia Country’s large army, Sikong Jing and the others had no other way out except for surrendering.
