Berserk God of War

104: Chapter 104 The Road to Hell 104: Chapter 104 The Road to Hell Outside the great golden palace gate of the Great Shang Imperial City, within the Imperial Palace Inner Court.

A tall and slender woman in bright red courtly garb stood gracefully, accompanied by a palace maid.

Her beauty shone in all directions, like the most noble goddess in the world.

She was none other than Yan Ruyu, known as the foremost beauty of the Great Shang Dynasty, the Ninth Princess.

At this moment, Yan Ruyu was waiting outside the golden palace.

This golden palace was no ordinary hall, but the strongest treasure of the Great Shang Dynasty, the only transcendent Heavenly Grade artifact that required a chosen master, known as the Golden Soul Palace.

The Golden Soul Palace had always been held by the Emperor of Great Shang, and each emperor had to earn its recognition upon accession to the throne.

Within the palace was the most powerful cultivation spot of the Great Shang Dynasty, requiring an enormous amount of resources to open even once.

Even Sikong Jing, with all his achievements, had never set foot inside.

Before Sikong Jing departed to quell the rebellion of the Seven Countries, Emperor Yang Tianmo had promised to personally unlock the Golden Soul Palace for him upon his victorious return, to help him break through to the Transcendent Realm.

Now, of course, that was a joke.

Boom…

Suddenly, the grand doors of the Golden Soul Palace swung open, and a young man with his upper body bared stepped out.

The treatment that even Sikong Jing had not received was now granted to a young man.

A palace maid stepped forward and draped a coat over the man.

Yan Ruyu approached with a charming laugh, “Brother Guan, congratulations on your retreat’s end.”

This young man was none other than Yuwen Guan, heir to the foremost noble Yuwen Family, who claimed the credits of Sikong Jing’s deeds for himself and became known as the “greatest general of all ages” in the Great Shang Dynasty!

Now he was also the Golden Saber Prince Consort, for Emperor Yang Tianmo had granted Yan Ruyu’s hand in marriage to him.

Yuwen Guan loosened his shoulders, making a cracking sound, and then kneeled on one knee: “Yuwen Guan, greets the Ninth Princess!”

“Brother Guan, cut it out.”

Yan Ruyu scolded playfully and quickly pulled Yuwen Guan to his feet, her eyes sparkled like silk as she inquired, “Brother Guan, after consuming Sikong Jing’s dantian, how much longer till you break through to the Transcendent?”

After removing Sikong Jing’s dantian, it was Yan Ruyu who had personally handed it over to Yuwen Guan to ingest and assimilate.

Finally, with the help of the Golden Soul Palace, he would make his breakthrough!

Yuwen Guan said proudly: “In less than a year, I shall break through to the Transcendent.”

“Wonderful, congratulations Brother Guan.”

Yan Ruyu smiled happily, then added, “Brother Guan, to celebrate your breakthrough, I have prepared a very special gift for you.

Bring forth Ying Feng.”

Soon, a pale-faced middle-aged man in black clothing stood before them.

Yan Ruyu asked indifferently, “Ying Feng, where is that person’s hand?”

“The hand?” Yuwen Guan was somewhat surprised.

“Yes, Brother Guan.

That barbarian Sikong Jing once held my hand, and now that I’m your woman, if we don’t take his hand, I’m afraid you’d find it dirty,” Yan Ruyu said sweetly.

Finishing her words, she looked towards Ying Feng, who was the Shadow Sect Commander in charge of the Yunzhou area.

Thump…

Ying Feng kneeled, kowtowing and pleading, “Ninth Princess, please forgive me, the two I sent encountered trouble and were killed by Bandits Ma of Tianlong Villa; I’ve only just received the news.”

Of course, this was false news spread by Sui Yu.

“I will send someone to retrieve it right now, this time guaranteeing… Ah!”

Before he could finish speaking, Ying Feng was dead.

Yan Ruyu had already extended a finger towards him, a beam of finger light had pierced Ying Feng’s brow.

Afterward, Yan Ruyu withdrew her finger somberly and stared coldly at Ying Feng’s corpse, saying, “What use is there to get it again?

This was supposed to be a special gift for Brother Guan to celebrate his breakthrough.”

Having said that, she immediately reverted to a sweet and delicate tone, “Brother Guan, it was my fault, I will send someone to get it right away…”

Before she could finish, Yan Ruyu was pulled into Yuwen Guan’s embrace.

With a face full of chill, Yuwen Guan said, “There’s no hurry for this matter, I should be heading to Yunzhou soon, shouldn’t I?”

“By then, I will personally retrieve Sikong Tumanzi’s palm.”

His voice was as cold as hell, and the image of Sikong Jing, who had once been trampled underfoot, filled with unresolved hatred, flashed through his mind.

Since Sikong Jing’s banishment, he had not personally seen him again.

The thought of obtaining the palm was something Yuwen Guan very much looked forward to.

“Yes, Sui Yu will soon arrive at Tianlong Villa, and he has no idea that this is the road to hell.”

“He won’t know that the Eldest Prince of Daxia is currently inside Tianlong Villa.”

“Once he kills the Eldest Prince of Daxia, all the arrangements of Daxia in Yunzhou will certainly be activated.”

“Sui Yu, is bound to die!”

Yan Ruyu’s voice became increasingly sinister and terrifying.

When she looked up at Yuwen Guan again, she had regained her charming smile, adding, “By then, Brother Guan can lead the troops to suppress the unrest, then use the excuse to break out of Yunzhou and seize the Yan State from Daxia, creating a great and illustrious achievement.”

Yunzhou is the frontier of the Great Shang Dynasty, neighboring the Xia Country, an existence not weaker than the Great Shang Dynasty itself.

Although there have been frictions between the two, no real conflicts had arisen for a long time.

Yan Ruyu, in fact, was a chess piece placed in Yunzhou by Tianlong Villa for Daxia, and now that the Eldest Prince of Daxia had covertly come to the villa, Sui Yu was being sent to exterminate him.

It was all to provide Yuwen Guan with a great achievement after he had absorbed Sikong Jing’s Dantian.

Yuwen Guan laughed in response, saying, “I want to use Sikong Jing’s Dantian and launch a campaign in his very own name right under his watchful eye.

I want him to see how I am praised by the people when I return victoriously.”

“Hahaha…”

He laughed heartily as if he could already see Sikong Jing choking with rage.

Suddenly, Yuwen Guan asked, “If Sui Yu hates Sikong Jing the most, why let him go to his death?”

“Giggle, just because he is a Princely Heir from one of the Five Great Families like you, it’s a sin to even compare his character with yours, Brother Guan.

Of course, he deserves to die,” explained Yan Ruyu as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Yuwen Guan laughed again, “Haha, indeed he deserves to die.”

…

Two days later, in Yanyun City of Yunzhou.

This city was several dozen times larger than Yunye City and second only to Yunzhou City within the state’s borders.

Because it was the sole trade route between the Great Shang Dynasty and the Xia Country.

Tianlong Villa was the strongest Martial Arts Force inside Yanyun City, also renowned throughout Yunzhou, yet at this moment, the villa was filled with haunting cries of despair as Sui Yu, along with the forces of the Jin Sect, turned the place into a river of blood.

To Sui Yu, colluding with Xia Country was irrelevant, but harboring Bandits Ma was a crime deserving death!

After the slaughter, Sui Yu led his men out of the villa, but just as he was about to step out of Yanyun City, a roar erupted.

“The Eldest Prince is dead.”

Boom!

Surges of energy soared into the sky within Yanyun City, and the city gates slammed shut.

“It was the Great Shang Brocade Gate that killed the Eldest Prince.

All the soldiers of Daxia, heed my order, shed your disguises, wipe them all out.”

As this series of roars sounded, Sui Yu’s face changed.

In Tianlong Villa, the Eldest Prince of Daxia had actually been in hiding, and when a prince traveled, masters would surely accompany him.

Infiltrating the Great Shang Dynasty was no small matter, and now he was in big trouble!
