Berserk God of War

127: Chapter 127: Sikong Jing, Really Very Terrifying 127: Chapter 127: Sikong Jing, Really Very Terrifying Sikong Jing rode his warhorse and strode forward.

Sui Yu guarded his left and right, ready for an ambush from the masters of Xia Country.

The people of Jin Sect and an army of one hundred thousand followed closely behind, their speed increasing rapidly…

As they were about to reach the city gates, Xia Dalian shouted, “Everyone, catch up with him!

Sikong Jing is trying to use the perils of the Dark Dragon Mountain Range to shake us off.

Keep a tight grip on him, and do not let up for a moment.”

“Also, notify our Daxia that the army is to invade Yunzhou.”

As she said this, Xia Dalian looked up again, “Sikong Jing, I won’t let you go easily.

I will capture you.”

The acute pain in her arm was a constant reminder for Xia Dalian that she could not afford to be outplayed by Sikong Jing again.

Sikong Jing’s gaze was cold, and he did not respond to Xia Dalian’s threats.

…

A few miles outside of Yanyun City, Fan Zhong and Lan Shou led an army of three hundred thousand, poised and ready.

“Strange, aside from the recent roar of a demon beast from within Yanyun City, why is there no other sound?”

Several question marks floated above Fan Zhong’s head.

He expected to hear the frenzy of True Qi and the roaring of powerful figures.

A cold light flickered in Lan Shou’s eyes as he said in a low voice, “It’s possible that the genius Sikong Jing you mentioned has defected to Xia Country.”

Fan Zhong shuddered at the thought; it was a great possibility.

Lan Shou continued, “No matter who comes out later, if they are from the Great Shang Dynasty, kill them all.

I fear that people from the Jin Sect might disguise themselves and mix with them.

None of them should live to make it back.”

Regarding the task of sending the Jin Sect to their deaths, the Lord of Yunzhou explained that the issuer of the Great Shang Emperor’s Order didn’t want any survivors.

There were members of major families inside, and their background powers should not be made aware of the situation for the time being.

“Remember, it’s better to kill the wrong one than to let one go,” Lan Shou emphasized strongly.

Hearing this, Mo Yang nodded and heh-ed, “Chief Lan, leave this to me.

I will make them cry for their fathers and mothers.

I’ll ensure Sikong Jing has no grave to bury him in.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than a Deputy Commander cried out, “Look quick, they’re coming out.”

A second Deputy Commander added, “It is indeed Sikong Jing.

He really made it out alive; he must have defected to Xia Country.”

Upon seeing this, Lan Shou immediately said, “Commander Fan, attack, kill them all!”

Fan Zhong, with fist raised high, prepared to give the order…

But before he could even speak, more and more people poured out of the city, quickly forming an army of one hundred thousand.

And among them, the people of Jin Sect did not even bother to disguise themselves.

Their powerful aura and the distinctive attire of the Jin Sect were all too conspicuous.

Fan Zhong’s raised fist froze in place as he helplessly said, “Mo Yang, you’re up!”

I’m up your damn mother…

Mo Yang, for all that he was a Deputy Commander, could clearly see something was amiss and cursed inwardly.

As for Lan Shou, being nothing more than the manager of the Lord of Yunzhou’s inner court, he couldn’t tell what was happening and discontentedly barked, “Mo Yang, aren’t you going up yet?

Didn’t you just say you’ve got this handled?”

“I, I…”

Mo Yang almost smacked himself in the face.

What was he boasting about earlier?

But who could have expected that in the face of Xia Country’s powerhouses, Sikong Jing could still emerge unscathed, not to mention the Jin Sect and one hundred thousand soldiers, damn it, without a single casualty.

Even if Sikong Jing had defected to Xia Country, most of the one hundred thousand soldiers and the Jin Sect’s people should have died.

The situation before him was beyond reason.

“Lord Fan, Sikong Jing is charging straight at us,” suddenly, a Deputy Commander shouted.

His eyes almost burst, and as expected, Fan Zhong saw Sikong Jing leading the Jin Sect and a hundred thousand troops charging towards them.

He yelled loudly, “Damn it, all forces listen to me—run fast!”

Lan Shou’s face turned dark, “Run?

You have three hundred thousand warriors and you can’t beat their hundred thousand?”

Beat your ass?

Not to mention how terrifying Sikong Jing is, there were also all the top experts of the Jin Sect in the mix.

“Chief Lan, the people from Jin Sect are mixed in there; we can’t beat them,” Fan Zhong could only patiently explain, “I fear they have all surrendered to Xia Country by now.

They’re coming to kill us to vent their anger.”

Lan Shou went blank for a moment, but then shook his head and sneered, “Impossible.

Xia Country wouldn’t let go of those from Jin Sect who killed their Eldest Prince.

Sikong Jing might surrender, but Jin Sect cannot.”

“I guarantee you that those from Jin Sect mixed in there, they’re all fakes, or maybe only a few are real.”

Tugging the corner of his mouth, Fan Zhong felt that might be the case, but should he take the risk?

“Kill them all.

They must not be allowed to return alive,” Lan Shou commanded sternly.

Taking a deep breath, Fan Zhong found himself in a difficult position.

He could only order the three hundred thousand troops to go out and meet the enemy, naturally with the reason being that Sikong Jing had already defected to Xia Country, and they must kill them all.

The three hundred thousand troops moved, but Fan Zhong and Mo Yang did not budge.

The Commanders exchanged glances, each understanding the message in the others’ eyes: at the first sign of trouble, they’d better run.

On the other side, Sikong Jing and Sui Yu naturally saw the three hundred thousand-strong army coming to kill them.

The two exchanged a look, and Sui Yu was the first to speak, “Brother, it seems the Great Shang Dynasty doesn’t just want to sacrifice me but also wants all of Jin Sect dead here, not a single one to return alive.”

Sikong Jing nodded and replied, “Perhaps you’ve been exposed, or perhaps you’ve offended someone.

The incident of Xia Country’s Eldest Prince at Tianlong Villa, Yang Tianmo probably already knows.”

At that, a surge of coldness washed over Sui Yu, his teeth gnashing sharply.

Did Yang Tianmo send him here to die because he knew that he was Brother Sikong’s man?

“Don’t overthink it now, let’s break out,” Sikong Jing told Sui Yu before leading the troops into the fray against the three hundred thousand-strong army.

In fact, he wasn’t aiming for Fan Zhong; the pathway to the Dark Dragon Mountain Range was this one.

By Fan Zhong’s side, Lan Shou coldly sneered, “This Sikong Jing really overestimates himself, daring to stand firm with a hundred thousand against an army of three hundred thousand.

Even if he has a few Jin Sect experts with him, they’re bound to die.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than his gaze froze.

He saw Sikong Jing’s hundred thousand troops charging into the midst of the three hundred thousand like a terrifying tide, cutting them down like grass.

Continuous screams rang out, and even someone as ignorant of war as Lan Shou could tell who was stronger and who was weaker.

“What the hell?

How are they so strong?” Lan Shou asked.

Tugging the corner of his mouth, Fan Zhong thought to himself, Sikong Jing is just that strong, you dumbass, didn’t you know?

Watching the battle unfold, Lan Shou suddenly burst with rage, “Commander Fan, what the hell are you doing just standing there?

Get moving and command your men!”

Taking a deep breath, Fan Zhong replied, “Chief Lan, Sikong Jing is terrifying.

We should retreat, shouldn’t we?”

“Retreat?

Can you afford the consequences?

If you dare to retreat, then go back to Yunzhou and prepare to be executed,” Lan Shou said haughtily, “If you don’t take command now, believe me, I’ll report you once we’re back in Yunzhou.”

Enraged, Fan Zhong’s eyes widened as he suddenly roared, “If you’re so eager to die, I’ll accommodate you!”

With that, Fan Zhong suddenly picked up Lan Shou, mounted his horse, charged into the battle, and then brutally threw him onto the battlefield before turning and fleeing back, shouting at Mo Yang and others, “Quick, hide yourselves!”

“I just saw some of Xia Country’s powerhouses chasing us out.

It seems Sikong Jing has turned that Xia Country female leader into a hostage to break out.”

As soon as these words were spoken, Mo Yang and the three Commanders felt their souls leap out of their skins.

Without a second thought, they dug a hole and buried themselves inside.
