113: Chapter 113: Relying on Seniority, Who Do You Think You Are?

“The son-in-law of the Su Family from Yunye City, who was temporarily conscripted by City Lord Duan Chengshan and General Chou Ye,”

Sikong Jing remained as calm as ever and casually stated his surface identity.

Although the Su Family is very famous in Yunye City, someone like Mo Yang, of course, has never heard of them.

Staring intently at Sikong Jing, Mo Yang basically believed what Sikong Jing had said, but the corners of his mouth involuntarily curled up, “So you’re from the people of Jianghu, that’s still very suspicious, I suspect you are a spy from Xia Country.”

Upon hearing this, the generals around Sikong Jing’s eyes widened, and True Qi flashed on their bodies.

“What are you trying to do?” The generals behind Mo Yang drew their weapons upon seeing this and shouted angrily in waves.

Old Zhang and Ah Hu turned their gazes towards Sikong Jing, their faces flushed with anger.

Although their journey here was not difficult and they had built up momentum with their killing, they were accused of being spies for Xia Country as soon as they arrived, who could bear it?

Shouldn’t they be receiving praise and cheers instead?

Sikong Jing’s face was expressionless, and he waved his hand to the generals behind him, soothing them, “Given the seriousness of the situation now, it’s normal for Deputy Commander Mo Yang to doubt my identity, but I just don’t know how else you would like me to prove it?”

Seeing that Sikong Jing was still reasonable, Mo Yang narrowed his eyes and replied, “It’s very simple, you and all your generals will follow me back to the camp for interrogation, and the remaining one hundred thousand soldiers will stay put.”

At those words, the expressions on Old Zhang and Ah Hu’s faces changed again, fearing that once they went in, it wouldn’t be so easy to come out.

If it was a deputy commander with a better reputation, they would certainly trust him, but Mo Yang was too infamous.

“Agreed.”

Yet Sikong Jing did not refuse or resist as imagined, and shouted to the one hundred thousand soldiers behind him, “All generals, follow my command and enter the camp with me, the rest are not to act on their own.”

Once the order was given, the generals had no choice but to step out of the ranks.

After that, about a thousand generals together with Sikong Jing followed closely behind Mo Yang back to the camp.

On the way, Old Zhang leaned in and said, “Brother Sikong…”

Before he could finish, Sikong Jing stopped him, “No need to say more for now, all speculation is useless, but you don’t have to worry, no matter what Mo Yang intends to do, I have a way to deal with it.”

“My only goal is to quickly retake Yanyun City and rescue the people from Jin Sect inside.”

After Sikong Jing finished speaking, he gazed again towards Yanyun City.

At that moment, cries of battle could still faintly be heard, proving that there was combat within the city, and thus a high possibility that City Lord Sui Yu was still alive.

Everything was geared towards the sole purpose of rescuing Sui Yu.

Old Zhang and Ah Hu looked at each other, confused.

Given the current situation, they really couldn’t think of any means Sikong Jing could have to retake Yanyun City, even if he got past Mo Yang, it’s not like Sikong Jing could play a decisive role in this war.

He was, at most, the leader of one hundred thousand soldiers, he couldn’t possibly kill Mo Yang again to seize military power, could he?

Above Mo Yang, there was a Commander, and above the Commander was the Commander of the Border Battle City!

With such doubts, a thousand generals entered the camp with Sikong Jing.

Just then, Mo Yang, who was up front, suddenly turned around and barked out loud, “Men, surround them for me.”

In an instant, the thousands of cavalrymen who were prepared turned around and surrounded Sikong Jing and his thousand men.

The thousand generals were immediately thrown into chaos, but when they saw that Sikong Jing remained calm atop his horse, the sense of panic instantly vanished.

They were not people from Xia Country; they walked the straight path and stood upright, there was nothing to fear.

At this moment, Sikong Jing, looking at Mo Yang approaching, asked indifferently, “Deputy Commander, what is the meaning of this?”

Mo Yang’s eyes carried a slightly sinister look as he said, “On your way here, you killed quite a few people from Xia Country, right?

And you also reclaimed Qingyun City, earning great merit, am I wrong?”

Sikong Jing nodded slightly, indicating that everything had been his doing.

“If I were to say now that all of your actions were directed by me, that the capture of Qingyun City and the exposure of Xie Hong and others were all due to me, would you agree?”

The voice rose slowly and leisurely, as Mo Yang looked at the people in front of him, who were gradually becoming indignant, with a teasing expression on his face.

All of a sudden, Ah Hu and all the generals understood that Mo Yang was actually trying to steal their credit, turning all their achievements along the way into his, so that he could rise in rank and make a fortune.

What did that make them?

And what about Brother Sikong?

It was simply preposterous and utterly filthy.

A glint of cold light flashed in Sikong Jing’s eyes as he retorted, “What if I don’t agree?”

Clang!

The moment the words were spoken, thousands of cavalry around them suddenly drew their weapons, emitting a chilling radiance.

Seeing this, Mo Yang laughed again, “If you don’t agree…

there’s only one outcome for you.

You are a spy from Xia Country, and everyone behind you is sent by Xia Country.

You are to be executed on the spot!”

“Damn it, we fought our way here with all our might, how did we become from Xia Country?

What evidence do you have?” a hot-tempered general screamed frantically, trembling with rage.

Yet Mo Yang remained unfazed as he replied, “All along the way, it was nothing but a play, aimed at amassing a hundred thousand troops to work both inside and with the people of Xia Country within Yanyun City, in order to kill off all the soldiers of Yunzhou.”

“You, you’re slandering me!” the one with the fiery temper went crazy, almost charging forth.

But Mo Yang didn’t care about them at all, and continued smiling as he said to Sikong Jing, “Young man, you’re just a person of Jianghu.

What’s the use of having so much credit?

Just give it to me, and I’ll give you benefits.”

Sikong Jing, with an expressionless face, asked calmly, “What if I choose to fight to the death?”

“Hahahaha…”

Mo Yang laughed loudly, “Why do you think I’ve separated you generals and the hundred thousand troops?

It is to prevent you from having a chance to fight to the death.”

“You only have two choices: be executed as people from Xia Country, or accept my terms.”

As soon as the voice fell, thousands of knights around them pulled their horses and stepped forward, pressing down fiercely.

All of the generals behind Sikong Jing also drew their weapons, looking at the surroundings in a state of panic, anger, and madness, with a chill rising in their hearts.

Sikong Jing then asked, “Where is the Commander of Yunzhou Battle Mansion?”

“You still want to see the Commander?

Haha, if he were in the camp, how could such a good opportunity fall to me?”

“Boy, I’ve eaten more salt than you’ve eaten rice.

You’re young, and there are times when you have to endure, and times you must yield.

Only then can you have a future.

Once you’re dead, you have nothing.”

Having said that, Mo Yang appeared entirely confident of having Sikong Jing cornered.

The generals all looked at Sikong Jing.

Would he endure?

They feared he would have to endure.

Under another’s roof, one must bow one’s head.

Suddenly, a report came, “Deputy Commander, urgent news from inside Yanyun City: Lord Jin Sect, who is stationed at Tianlong Villa, is in danger.

We must find a way to rescue him.”

Upon hearing this urgent report, Sikong Jing suddenly looked up, his eyes flashing with murderous intent.

However, Mo Yang appeared indifferent, saying, “Jin Sect dies, he dies.

Yanyun City is so hard to attack, and the Commander isn’t here.

What can I do?

Let them fend for themselves.”

After waving the messenger away, he turned back to Sikong Jing and asked, “How have you considered?”

At that moment, Sikong Jing slowly inserted his long spear into the ground beneath his horse…

Seeing this, everyone sighed inwardly, thinking that Brother Sikong had conceded, even discarding his weapon.

But in the next instant, Sikong Jing spurred his horse and leapt close to Mo Yang before he could react, landing a slap across his wizened face, the crisp sound echoing across the field.

Then Sikong Jing stood upright on Mo Yang’s horse’s head, and declared coldly, “Take advantage of your age, who do you think you are?”
